arbitrarily choosing to ONLY drink strong liquor instead of beers is what doomed him, beer quenches more thirst and gets you drunk slower so you wouldnt OD

@@Mer_Lover. Nah, it has a good enough alcoholic content to get you drunk. Plus it's the only one I can stand the taste of so it's alcohol enough for me.
For context, my opinion is formed because I just dislike the taste of the alcohol itself. It's terrible and I don't get how you people can stand it, makes me want to puke the moment it touches the tongue. The only point of alcohol is the fact that it's alcoholic and alcoholic things give you a cool status effect; Why bother with it being more or less alcoholic? The more alcoholic it is the more of a reason you should take a damn break from drinking, you don't need stuff like vodka if you take a tolerance break instead of being an addict loser. Beer is fine enough if you want to get drunk and the taste of the drink hides the taste of the alcohol (though if you, say, mix in mtn dew in a 1:1 ratio with some Budweiser, you can make the beer itself actually taste good thanks to the absurd sugar and etc flavoring in a dew)
I can stand the poor taste of beer as it's not as bad as the taste of its lower alcohol content and thus hides the alcohol from my taste buds, combine that with my extremely low alcohol tolerance and desire to not waste money on pointless things because I'm a utilitarian and don't see the point of the fancier stuff if it all gets you drunk the same and the only reason it couldn't is because you've built up a tolerance because of addiction.
To me, beer is the best alcohol out of them; it's cheap, poor taste that's atleast bearable, and you can't taste the alcohol. Theres no reason to buy anything harder except if you're trying to hurt yourself, at that point spend the money on therapy.
I do want to try a stout sometime though, it's a type of beer so I'm more open to it especially because I hear it tastes nicer! Maybe I'll get to enjoy the journey instead of the destination.
Sidenote, I respect wine drinkers. Not for me since I can taste the alcohol but I do get it; the... "spice" goes well with the sweetness from the fruit. Don't really know what to call the taste of alcohol other than "weird spice", but yeah, I still dislike the drink but full cheers to people who enjoy wine I can atleast understand the flavor profile.
Otherwise, every other alcohol I've tried I hold in disdain and disgust. Free world so do what you love and love what you do but I'd love being waterboarded in La Croiqx more than I would drinking vodka or whiskey... Jack Daniels tastes like ass, and it's supposed to be one of the "finer" whiskeys? Terrible.
