What is "huge" about it? It's a total desperation move by a studio that literally has no clue what they are doing. Their crappy game bombed, so they now add crappy old shit we all played for hundreds, if not thousands of hours, in a desperate, pathetic attempt to save the dwindling player base. Hooray for decade old maps and it's not even good ones. Murky Station was and is boring and Cook Off is doing the same mundane task for an hour, but unlike Payday 2 you won't even level up through it thanks to the fucked up XP system Failday 3 has.
i don't know, to me PD3 is clearly lacking, but PD2 UI is soo 2010 i don't necessarily wanna deal with that anymore neither.. color choice in PD3 i like a lot better than in PD2 tbh - looks a bit more "high end" and less "cheap" on the surface (until we dive into it of course when it shows its massive flaws)

Leveling system is what broke me at lvl 68. lol if it wasnt for grinding with friends chilling in discord vibing out to music, i would have dropped in quicker.

I was hoping to see matchmaking improvements. Some want to do stealth, others loud, and some want to try stealth then go loud. Also without communication it’s kinda lonely. They really need a to let us enter a specific queue or a quick match queue with those settings
I imagine matchmaking improvements are more server related. Kind of 2 different companies running all that noise. Might just have to wait until everything is addressed.
What about displaying equipment in the lobby before the game starts? Before the game starts, it is impossible to understand which way your partner wants to complete the robbery: stealth or loud. what about chat in the lobby? it doesn't depend on the server
Even after 2 months with no updates i was still supporting yall and it payed of im getting the game on friday and im already to hyped il be playing it all day long (probaly the whole year lol)

It's great to hear and see you are working on improving the game, and solving major issues in the game backend pipeline - Looking forward to it! I would suggest to keep us updated, even if it may be technical. What Andreas is saying about the error in the backend update pipeline; I am sure most of us would have been happy to hear about it from the beginning, so if we were updated on why the updates would take longer time, it could perhaps been an alternative outcome the game where players would understand the situation, in my opinion. (Not sure if it was already mentioned somewhere, but this is the first time I hear of it).
Okay. Progression quality of life updatea like that IS THE BEST of what you can do for now while you also fix the other major problem which is the Offline play.

At this point I'm calling it "too little too late". Ditch Crossplay or change it so that older/newer game versions are hidden on clients to allow for faster updates on PC that don't need to go through any certification process at MS or Sony. Ditch the online BS and let us host our own games like we did on PD2. Fix the progress system (I see you're on it, lets hope for the best...) Give us back numeric values for weapon stats. Travel through time and start with Dev Updates about 6 weeks earlier. Now excuse me, I have some heisting to do in PD2.
You guys realize you went from 80k players at launch to almost 2k in 2 months time. and still continue to lose players every day, The only thing thats going to save payday 3 is a metric fuckton of content and all the bells and whistles of UI and game start/planning from payday 2 right? Like you guys failed so bad not including any of the creature comforts of payday 2, How could you not add a pre-game chat or planning, Why are there like ~12 guns in total? Where is the build variety? You improved absolutely nothing upon the bones of payday 2, it's like you've started completely over making every single mistake you already made on payday 2 all over again.
I actually like the challenges, but please let us sort the challenges for each heist it would make things much easier^^' As example: show only challenges for the no rest for the wicked heist.

Cook off?! Hell yeah. Legacy heists are something I had hoped to come to Payday 3, specifically Framing Frame. Can't wait to see that hopeful day. On PD3's release, I was so thankful to the voice in my head that ALWAYS keeps me from pre-ordering, but was willing to monitor the situation and see if it reaches a completed and polished enough state where I'd actually buy it. It is FAAAAAR from that right now, but this update is at least encouraging from a trajectory standpoint. Plus, I get to enjoy Gustavo's music regardless :)
This is amazingly in the right direction, the only thing I would like to see in the future is a bonus chunk of infamy points for securing all loot, it gives u incentive to actually get all loot and gives u more reward for more work

Starting off on the wrong foot happens sometimes. But so far payday 3 has been awesome for me and my friend. I don't think he and I will ever lose hope in it's development. This is a step toward something great and I'm hyped AF. But developing quality content takes time and effort both of which I'm willing to wait for. Don't buy this game. This is one of them companies that puts out beta games and uses full paying customer to work out the bugs. Pay day 3 came out with little content and now they are giving "free" content. What a crock of sheet. Shame on you.

Yeah. I'll have to wait to see how much IP they award for heists but my feeling has always been that the majority of IP from a heist should come from Difficulty/Money Value Stolen with challenges being _bonus_ IP. This _sounds_ like it may be reversed with just minor IP from the heist and the majority of IP coming from completing a challenge. If so, it still means that it's probably going to be best, level-wise, to still go loud on almost all of the heists. I hope that's not the case because we very much enjoyed the stealth heists in PD2 and my group would hate to have to forgo it just so that we can continue to level up.

I was going to buy PD3 in sale, but because of this update it itches to click that buy button now. You are making a great game and listen to the community, that's awesome.
they have fixed only a fraction of the stuff thats pissing people off. i'd recommend you wait a few months (or a year) and check if they haven't abandoned this sinking ship.

At this point I'm calling it "too little too late".
Ditch Crossplay or change it so that older/newer game versions are hidden on clients to allow for faster updates on PC that don't need to go through any certification process at MS or Sony.
Ditch the online BS and let us host our own games like we did on PD2.
Fix the progress system (I see you're on it, lets hope for the best...)
Give us back numeric values for weapon stats.
Travel through time and start with Dev Updates about 6 weeks earlier.
Now excuse me, I have some heisting to do in PD2.

You guys realize you went from 80k players at launch to almost 2k in 2 months time. and still continue to lose players every day, The only thing thats going to save payday 3 is a metric fuckton of content and all the bells and whistles of UI and game start/planning from payday 2 right? Like you guys failed so bad not including any of the creature comforts of payday 2, How could you not add a pre-game chat or planning, Why are there like ~12 guns in total? Where is the build variety? You improved absolutely nothing upon the bones of payday 2, it's like you've started completely over making every single mistake you already made on payday 2 all over again.

Cook off?! Hell yeah. Legacy heists are something I had hoped to come to Payday 3, specifically Framing Frame. Can't wait to see that hopeful day. Really loved Payday 2, the issues from 3 were very discouraging. Looking forward to a healthier future for the game! And also an offline only mode... Leaps and bounds though! One day 👊😎
On PD3's release, I was so thankful to the voice in my head that ALWAYS keeps me from pre-ordering, but was willing to monitor the situation and see if it reaches a completed and polished enough state where I'd actually buy it. It is FAAAAAR from that right now, but this update is at least encouraging from a trajectory standpoint. Plus, I get to enjoy Gustavo's music regardless :)

This is amazingly in the right direction, the only thing I would like to see in the future is a bonus chunk of infamy points for securing all loot, it gives u incentive to actually get all loot and gives u more reward for more work

This is honestly the best news you could’ve brought to us. All this in this short amount of time is such a refreshing surprise. Time to start playing again
Starting off on the wrong foot happens sometimes. But so far payday 3 has been awesome for me and my friend. I don't think he and I will ever lose hope in it's development. This is a step toward something great and I'm hyped AF.
But developing quality content takes time and effort both of which I'm willing to wait for. I 100% Would have been more frustrated if I were to somehow lose progression out of nowhere, that was thoughtful of them.

Pay day 3 came out with little content and now they are giving "free" content.

So, they made up an excuse for no updates since the game launched and they come back with two old heists? So, no new content? No UI changes? No talk about performance? Nothing? Wow, way to go, huh.

Thank you for listening to the community regarding the challenges. It's still not ideal for myself or lots of others that I've seen, but it's a big step in the right direction
Yeah. I'll have to wait to see how much IP they award for heists but my feeling has always been that the majority of IP from a heist should come from Difficulty/Money Value Stolen with challenges being _bonus_ IP. This _sounds_ like it may be reversed with just minor IP from the heist and the majority of IP coming from completing a challenge. If so, it still means that it's probably going to be best, level-wise, to still go loud on almost all of the heists. I hope that's not the case because we very much enjoyed the stealth heists in PD2 and my group would hate to have to forgo it just so that we can continue to level up.
Remove the challenge leveling system completely. Go back to exp for completing heists

@@easternunit2009 Well sure, the progression system is one thing... But "a small amount" does not fill me with confidence that they actually fixed it. And no talk about making the gameplay actually engaging or removing the always online features that are just objectively making the game worse for the paying customers.
