Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference: Refinishing a MCM Tallboy

- I was so excited when my vision for this petite Ballman Cummings tallboy came to life! This Midcentury modern tallboy was in need of some repair, but it has new life again after this restoration. Just like in life, some small changes can make such a big difference in furniture. I think this was the case here. I would love to know your thoughts about this flip in the comments. Thanks for watching!

The paint color makes that beautiful base stand out. Love the drawer liner too. Great job!!
Thank you, Amy!❤ I was so glad I was able to stain it.😍
Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍
Thank you!! 😊 This was certainly one of my favorite paint/stain combos!
Love the base. Beautiful job as always👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks, Leslie! The base is my favorite part, too.
I love watching you work...I work exactly the same!! Another beautiful project.
Thank you, Amy-Mae! Great minds think alike!😀
Yes 🙌 you go girl!!!!
Thanks, Abby! Really appreciate you watching!💜💜
Stunning! Great job😄
Thank you, Kim!
Amazing!
Thank you, Maria!💜
Nice job! An old butter knife can be handy for poking glue down under veneer
Thank you. Great idea - I haven’t ever heard of that!
Great job! 🙂
Thank you for using Lowe’s instead of Home Depot!
Thank you! Ha, sure! I honestly like both, but Lowe’s is right down the road from my house. I’m there a lot! Thank you for watching!
You made that look amazing! 💯 🎯
I actually liked the first black more, (but that’s just me). It almost reminds me of an apothecary cabinet (when the drawers are shut).
Thank you! I really liked that first black, too, just wasn’t what I had in mind. I actually use that first black in my flip I’m posting tomorrow. It’s such a great color….although I hadn’t noticed it before, I can see where you get an apothecary vibe with the lines on the drawers. I really like the apothecary style furniture out right now. Thanks for watching!
@@Restorations.by.Rachel Look up the "Nina Apothecary Cabinet". It kinda reminds me of that one (color & all really) minus the hardware/handles.
Looks great!
Thank you!! And thanks so much for watching!
@@Restorations.by.Rachel You're welcome. I just discovered you two days ago.
@@roserocks1979so glad you did!
its much easier to glue the chepped veneer than remove it and fill it with bondo
Thanks, good to know. I didn’t have the tools to get the glue up under it, so I went with peeling it off. I have since purchased syringes to try for a similar situation next time.
