- Part of an exclusive and rare interview Amy gave to Angharad Williams just a few days after her first BRIT award nominations in January 2004. Amy talks of her career and her hopes for the future.
"If you know the nature of life, you'll never be surprised." How beautiful
You will always rock in my world Amy winehouse and u will Neva be forgotten rock on Amy up in heaven love you .....NZmaori girl2021
Yes. I've often thought this and said nothing surprises me. I looked for an image with this quote by her. There is none. There should be.
I love Amy's smile, and her accent. She is such a sweet girl.
Will miss her dearly.
I'm the journalist who did the interview - this was for M2F magazine (you can read the interview on my Wordpress site) and the camera crew were actually filming me for a piece for Welsh language TV. Little did they realise who they were filming. So the shots were only for filler in a bigger segment - hence the strange camera work. There was something special about Amy and I feel privileged that I got to speak to her at the start of her success.

This is awesome. I love Amy
So nice to see her happy and looking forward to life. She was a true artist and this peak into her life at such a young age makes me happy. She had an increadable talent that will inspire new artists who are not born . Her music speaks for all ages and generations.
Amy was so real, that's why I will always love her.
Heaven is protecting her, such a unique and beautiful woman. Never forgotten, rip xxx
How do u know lol?
@@annechris2677that’s what they think dumbass
Such a rare and beautiful soul. She will forever be remembered. A real legend. RIP Amy ❤
She was intelligent and wise beyond her years and just a down to earth person
So humble and yet one of the most successful female artists on the planet!! God bless her 🙏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️
"Your lyrics are quite *frank*"
ba-dum-tss
IKR I HEARD THAT LMAO
What a beautiful soul.
She was young beautiful and had a life ahead of her. She seemed so sweet R.I.P lovely.
This is so amazing to see and hear. Amy, you are truly missed. I hope you can find peace now. You were taken from us way too soon. No one knows what you were going through when the people and the cameras gone. So sad you felt so bad inside. Love you much Amy. RIP.
if you know the nature of life...wow as such a young age. she is such a gifted beautiful woman i wish she was still here.we all hae demons, i miss your life amy.
Please forget all your camera comments. Single camera, "uncut" footage - how else would it get done? Well-organised team. They knew exactly what to get in the short amount of time they had with her. Brilliant. You're lucky to see it at all! Great interview.
Tho some of these comments are funny and true, you’re right. I actually like these weird zooms I think it adds to the charm (of) and the details.
I just love this interview! Amy was such a sweet girl! She looks happy here, it warms my heart. This was before things got to serious, with the paparazzi, the press, the drugs, Blake, and all the craziness that were around her at all times. I feel so sorry for her. I so wish she'd made it! She'd beaten the drugs, she was conquering the alcohol, so it seems totally pointless that she'd die! I just hate that it ended like that!
This hit me
wow the amy from the frank album days is like a completely different person compared to the back to black album days r.i.p. amy:(
Beautiful young lady very talented the last Beautiful voice of real music and musician rest in peace Beautiful queen
Such a wise old soul to good for this world oh Amy you where the best female singer song writer in British history truly missed ❤️
amazing interview. Love it!
This beautiful talented woman only wanted to write an sing, she didn't need the 24/7 scrutiny from the paps an the media. The music industry is just evil, it makes amazing talented beautiful women feel like they're not enough the way they are an it's so sad!! Obviously they recognized the talent an she was stunning so the industry should have just let her be herself. She was more than enough on a bad day an on a good day, my goodness, she was absolute perfection!! Much respect Ms. Winehouse, you'll never be forgotten😘🖤💚💜❣
The hell is that cameraman doing?
I was gonna say the same!! We want to see AMY, not the book, interviewers face forever, etc. Geezz
Being a legend.
Weyes Noir they are just sitting in bed lol
Stupid style dump

Absolutely precious
Beautiful Amy. Good interview. HORRIBLE camera man... Ugh, that was painful to watch.
See my comment - the shots were for filler so this is why they were filmed this way.
"if you know the nature of life then you're never surprised by what happens you know. "
She's fuckin dope. I hate how lots of amazing artists had to go the way they did. RIP AMY
I think Amy wanted people to see who/what type of person she was through her songs but they were not observant enough to do so thus all the negative press, all the negative things people would say and how she was the butt of the bad comments. I think that was frustrating to her and then being with just terrible guys made it much worse. It's shows you how messed up this world is, I mean I could see how wonderful, intelligent, loyal and fun loving a person she was just from watching her videos
She was gorgeous here
Im glad to have heard you Amy. We live so close but we didnt know eachother. Be happy forever.
I always loved her.
Sweet Girl Amy was I love singing her songs at kareoke
Same here. She looks so beautiful and healthy in this video. Love you Amy
Diva perfeita , única , eterna AmyLove
Such a raw magnificent inherent talent, and addiction sucked the life out of her. She was strong willed, didn't follow the beaten path, instead she paved her own. Love kicked her ass, she love completely and with her entire heart and soul. When he left her, she felt only half a person, she couldn't live with him or without him. Listen to the song back to black, she tells us clear and concise. I still miss her, I suppose I always will. She hated fame, it caused her much pain so she tried to numb it out with drugs and alcohol. I wish her life had been different for her, I'm sure if those closest to her would have used the word NO on the things that were detrimental to her, she might have stood a chance. Her boyfriend and father were the two main influences in her life, by not saying NO they let her down and she couldn't get up. Rip my friend.
Bulimia
Her boyfriend Blake (who became her husband) is the one who introduced hard drugs (crack cocaine and heroin) into their relationship. But it was alcohol poisoning that killed her. The autopsy showed zero drugs in her system. Blake had become her ex-husband by the time she died and was actually in prison when he heard of her death. He did say he regretted getting her into drugs, was devastated by her passing but was relieved she was off the drugs when she died.
She obviously had borderline personality disorder unfortunately and I do too. We become obsessed with a 'favourite person' such as a boyfriend and ex. It destroys us. We feel near constant pain but are personable. She suffered immensely and it hurts me that she's dead so much but it didn't shock me. The manner of death shocked me after all the drugs...heroin. And then an alcohol overdose. Of all things.
8:30 I LOVE WHEN SHES FLIRTING WITH GIRLSSSS OML AGHHH
What the heck is wrong with the camera man! Do he have short attention span or something? He's all over the place! ..Can you just keep the freakin camera Still, goodness!! 🙌 smh..

r.i.p jewish princess ☺
I think he was being creative in showing the book and other items, otherwise it would be same as a radio interview. You can always "just listen."
See my comment - the shots were for filler so this is why they were filmed this way.
Amy ♡
Siin palabras un gran talento
Rip baby girl
What the HELL is the camera person doing?
She is So natural in this video So pure So beautiful şhe is Just Amy
I love the way she talks the way she sings the look everything about her
I am So sad she is gone now 😔
Beautiful woman with her hair down, instead of the big beehive-bun.

But like reste of us at her age 😮
Por favor porqué no ponen subtitulos en español para los que no hablamos inglés gracias
Обожаю Эми. 2023год.
She was honestly so stunning omg she really didn’t know 😢 ...Definitely a Jewish Princess 🇬🇧🇮🇱
shoes on the bed is crazy lol
Completely agree, who was behind the camera? WHY would anyone want to focus on the interviewer while Amy is talking....-_-
LOL cameraboy's in
This interview was filmed for a segment on a TV show about the journalist and was not to be shown in full hence the strange camera work.
Who's the interviewer. She's good plus he's a Common fan!
I admit Amy had her problems before Blake but it seem way more stable and she was way more levelheaded ambitious looking forward to a promising future career wise and personal wise but after 2005 and her meeting Blake she was never the same this is so so sad when I look at Frank era interviews it’s like a different person 😢
Dido had and got nothing on Amy
que le pasa al camarografo?
y por que la entrevistadora no deja de mirarle las piernas?
Does anyone know the last person she mentioned at 2:50? Can’t figure it out
roy ayers
2:32 love it
Amy was f'n awesome in this clip. She's much more attractive and down-to-earth in her Frank incarnation than in her Back to Black incarnation. Did the girl at the end say she met Common in Chicago?
❤
When was this video made? How old is she here? 19? It has to bee right after 'Frank', yes?
Idk,but she is so soooo pretty un this video
This was a good interview but yeah the person behind the camera stinks!!! On another note Amy looks super pretty here. Miss you baby peace and love
Traducirmelo en Español...
The camera man is terrible. Fire him
I would love to have gotten to me this cool chic
I wish the cameraman would just focus on Amy. We didn't need to see the lady in red so much
See my comment - - the shots were for filler so this is why they were filmed this way.
😥
Need a professional camera person
I had the same boxer shoes at this time :)
Isso foi bem quando eu nasci😢😮
Jesus christ, that camera man was determined to ruin this interview with his erratic movements. Sit down and then sit still!
See my comment - - the shots were for filler so this is why they were filmed this way.
Pésimo cámarografo la toma tenía que estar fija a la cantante entrevistada.
Great little Random Production...
Watching makes me Wish even more Amy had not met a married that Creep.
She also plays Lady Gaga
Really? Bone structure different. Skill set different.
Actually you might be right
Qué carajo con la cámara :v

#AmyWinehouse @amywinehouse I give you the power of all God's to the fifth degree recipient
she*
Is it not?
Unfortunately Amy and Britney the paparazzi traumatized caged them and made Amy’s habits so much worst all she wanted to be was a normal person who sang who’s voice would touch the world and unfortunately the price of fame is often extremely to damn high it’s not even worth it also the very people that these artist pure their hearts out to end up being the same ones that judge them the most in the end 😢
lamentável perda
You kna wha ah main
...I take it this was produced by "Wedi 7"...I mean that much is pretty fucking inescapable in'it???
she is an example of what drugs can do to you! Look at her here looking all healthy and beautiful as opposed to when she was close to hear day of death how weirdly skinny she became her face lost all richness and liveliness and became pretty much dry, even her demeanor and behaviour became a little uncouth and she became pretty much a dry human being.
@amywinehouse #AmyWinehouse mycoplasma genitalia seloquil hamlets grave digger oh oratio I knew thee well
@amywinehouse you can shelter in my wingspan but expect the drugs squad detectives ask tswodt
I love how Amy totally acknowledged her white privilege, she was one of a kind
Monse Parada how did she acknowledge her white privilege
Claudia Amy did not "totally acknowledge her white privilege". In fact, she said she had to prove herself even more because she was a white woman singing jazz, meaning that white women were not expected to be good jazz singers and she had to overcome that preconception. That is the exact opposite of "white privilege".
Stop politicizing a dead person
You what now? Keep your Buzzfeed hot topic nonsense 'issue' of the month away from our beautiful Amy.
You're anti-Semite trash and your music is trash x
haha aw theyre in bed. so cute.
She was on drugs long before this. Don't blame her bf
