- Amy Winehouse interviewed at the age of 20, in the port of Rotterdam prior to her performance at Rotterdam Import, June 19, 2004 a month before the North Sea Jazz Festival July, 2004. She tells that she had won the Ivor Novello Award one month earlier for 'the Best Contemporary Song 2004 "Stronger Than Me".
She also sings a live version of 'In My Bed' from her debut album 'Frank'. Enjoy!

she was a genius, not just a pretty girl with a pretty voice, she was so so so young and so so so talented and smart, writing everything in a such complex gender of music as jazz and performing perfctly. I'm sad that woman dont get the same recognition as man in this world.
Truth.
She was so alive and beautiful at this point, not hiding under a bunch of tattoos and starving herself. So sad to watch her interviews just a few years later where she seemed under water and disinterested, killing her inner light slowly.

I hadn’t seen this interview of hers and HOL*SH*t! I’m in love with this woman. She was so adorable and so contagiously authentic and warm (though she seemed cold af)! I hadn’t seen this part of hers portrayed. Whatever changed later on, that’s that. But this is the pure Amy. This is who she truly was. I saw Janis. Janis was a force of nature- but she was a different wonderful. Amy would be considered brilliant as- a song writer alone. Also a very under appreciated guitarist. Terrible loss. Exceptional young lady. ❤

2003 2004 2005 : il y a en elle une telle joie de vivre, une si belle sante, un tel bonheur intact en chantant, une telle explosion d energie musicale : ce talent ctte joie de vivre en chantant. Ces sourire craquants. Ce bonheur de vivre en chantant .......... et puis 2007 2008 2009.... 2010 2021... ... tout bascule, sa maigreur, son regard perdu et éperdu, ses sourires a peine esquissés, .......je ne comprends plus, en un temps si court, une telle métamorphose dans le gouffre, dans l abîme........et ces interprétations qu elle donne : terrifiantes, magnifiques, bouleversantes, HYPNOTIQUES........

My friend has the same hair and makeup as Amy Winehouse did in 2006 (2 years after this interview )
Amy Winehouse has been my favourite singer since November time 2023 (really late I know) and it was my friend who got me into Amy’s music because of the similarities in looks
She was so beautiful, her eyes, her nose, her hair, she was one of a kind, i always find her very attractive, not to mention her voice and talent, so passionate, what a loss for the humanity....

I don't think this interviewer is very respectful. She asked 3/4 times if it was the interview yet and he doesn't make it clear it had started. She thinks she's just answering general chat whilst freezing lol..
It makes the interview even better to me.
