Referring to Start McGill you just brace the abs which includes ALL of the abdominal muscles. She's right about the cough, the cough is not sucking your stomach in. Plus there are more muscles in the core , such as the QL and the glutes.
Similar to budgeting and finance, why isn’t this taught at school!? This should be mandatory learning considering most the masses will work behind desks or manual jobs both of which require strong core. Essential learning for kids: learn to manage money and save, core stability, how to build a business/be productive.
hell yes! I've recently been thinking about starting a non profit to raise awareness about spine health to high school kids...mann do I wish I had all of this knowledge when I was younger, would've helped save me a decade of chronic back problems
Another method of core engagement is stiffening core as if someone is going to hit me in the stomach.They call it -360breathing.What is your point-of-view on this method ?
