Things must be going great in Ukraine for them to participating in world wide athletic events. Have we been lied to when Zelenskyy keeps asking for more money and weapons?

It shakes my confidence in the Ukrainian government when they cry about being in mortal danger yet still play soccer. I can understand it if Ukraine was in a war outside of it's borders but right when you think they are all hands on deck they are not, yet they are expecting the West to keep them financed and send them the equipment to fight.
