David Attenborough would be proud.
Perhaps a collab is on the way
😂😅
"And here is a German in his natural habitat."
🤣
"He'll have to refrain from this interaction." 🤣
Seeing a man clean car parts in the shower is the most German thing I've ever seen.
Sigh. It is indeed.
I didn't ever hear that.
What? Is that real? Thought it was a joke!
@thealbatris9487 It means they take advantage of water 🚿 “to save it” so doble use
I saw some of them smoking cigarettes while taking showers, but to clean car stuff seems quite made up to be honest. The neighbour interaction however I can confirm 100%
Love the way how this Video was made! Brilliant stuff. The Underwear and meeting the neighbour parts killed it
Thank you !
brilliant? Dude that was the biggest trash i've ever seen! Dumber than Trump voters!
Please dont come to Germany if you are a single man🦊, No empty apartment for rent, No girl friend or friend, Just work hard and die hard ....
I love the host. She handles comedy so well 😂❤
I'm Indonesian and I don't understand how on earth I got this recommended to me but I've officially changed my mind - the germans are funny sometimes 😂
'Sometimes' wkwkwkk
❤🙏🏽
I would like to eat some tempe but i am not in Indonesia! Is the higspeed Train between Jakarta and Bandung already running?
@@brunoheggli2888 yes it is
Most of my friends and I (craftsmen in Germany) have a different routine. The alarm clock rings at 04:45, get dressed, brush your teeth, drink coffee and at 05:15 we are on our way to work.
Bruh, why so early? If you're in a trade where you have to work with customers, like electrician or plumber, I wouldn't want to meet the first customer before 8am... or are you working in a factory with shifts?
Because it's nice to be back at home early and have the afternoon off lazying! Mornings are crisp and serene and one gets stuff done. Not only craftsmen, all kinds of employees too, government here in Berlin had to forbid its tax employees and others to clock in before 7, so now most still come in and clock in later.
Depends on the distance to your job, but yes, starting 6am is quiet normal, und people are happy to come home 3pm and have the rest of the day off.
@@jano1574 I used to have to communte for 2 hours in total everyday in my job as an industry electrician.
So to be able to clock in at 6am (official start of the working time) I usually had to wake up at 04:30, get my morning routine done and have a small breakfast so that I could start driving before 5am to be there in time and work until 3pm. After driving home it was already 4pm in the afternoon.
The advantage of it was that I only had to do this from Monday-Thursday and on Friday I would go home at noon and start my weekend at 1pm.
yes, what is Michael up to for the rest of the day? keep the same format. great video, by the way.
Thank you! Don't worry, more to come 😏
Fun video, hope we see more! I like learning about culture, but I think peoples' day to day activities give more insight.
I love this format! What a great idea of how to share those statistics hahahaha
This is probably the most fun dw euromaxx vid I've seen 😂 more of this pls
Thank you, def. more to come!
ditto! definitely the most fun!
Do you know Rachel from "Meet the Germans"? The same kind of light ironical humor.
@@AP-lc5ys ooh i might check it out!
Haha that was epic and so relatable as a German.
Love this series, informative and so much fun to watch!
Great video, funny, witty and informative. More please.
Great video. I shared it with my students of A1. Currently, we are discussing morning routine in class. 🙂
Loved the way video is made! Really creative and amazing! I would like to see more videos with similar ideas! Would be great!!!
my mum and i used to ran a homestay bfore covid, 75% of our guests is German's, one i noticed that they almost always wore socks. Ah.. i miss having Germans in our house.. they are not as cold as winter, mostly like a sweet Summer ❤
So you mean, there are other people, wearing no socks regularly ? I mean, above 30 degrees OK, but below ?
@@holger_pI was wondering that same thing.
The Germans must be visiting them in summer and wearing socks on their sandals or something.
But I would like to hear the explanation too.
You mean the “birkenstock and sock thing” because unless wearing “opened shoes” everyone wear socks although nowadays no show socks are popular
Someone should do this for every country 🤣
I'd like to see the day of the average Gerwoman next
What a cute channel to watch….and I subscribed because I want to know what comes next. Great formatting, writing, and presentation.
Lovely video. Now on to the other half of the population. The average german women routine please.
I love this format!!
More of Michael yes!
We love to see next episode about Michael😂❤
love the video format
Amazig! Great video. Hard facts. I can relate to too many of them...
You are so right.. Mett and eggs? I am definitely in the right country then. I just love Germany and the Germans too. So what will do Michael next?
This series is great ❤
Loved this one!
Lol! Nice production. Funny and creative.
first time seeing such a documentary like this, sounds intersting
Very good video, please continue
Please make the next video of this content please ^^ ❤
Lol of course his last name is Müller. Loved it
more of Claire! she's fantastic!
Haha! Want more of it!
Great format :)
Love this vid!
I need more or this series
hahahah, I really liked this video, interesting, funny. I shared it with my German friend.
Great stuff!
0:23 6:23 am, now you know why we are such a grumpy nation ☹
I would like to add that if you work in a bigger company and enter the company premises early in the morning, most people look down at their feet so as not to have to say "good morning" to the other employees.
I can confirm this
VERY GOOD!!! So great!
Such a well crafted video and also "Michael" it's very handsome 💯
I agree , i prefer to wear in the summer when it`s very warm, because you don`t sweat in them. And only a light blanket to cover you.🙂👍🌷
Can't believe that a state funded media generating such funny yet informative content
Keep up
Awesome !!
This is brilliant
Need to know what michael up to next, so I leave my like and comment
This reporter should get her own show
0:30 Spain and Portugal are actually in the same timezone as the UK, so they should really be 1 hour behind European Central Time (ECT). Consequently, they're actually waking up at around her same time as the Germans.
I love your content DW ... good quality, objective, presenting both sides of the story. I hope American news (latin American and north American ones) learnt from their European counterparts like BBC, France24, and of course DW.
After some time living in Germany, I now realize I have been Germanized... not with breakfast though, I come from a country that has three warm meals per day.
When you are in Germany, do as German. Thank for sharing. It is a terrific video about German culture.
Not showering everyday, would get any Brazilian thinking “OMG!” 🤣🤣
Wunderbar & very funny! Germans: who are they, where they live, what they do? Please keep showing us! Danke! 🇧🇷
More please
Nice 👌
They said Breakfast is the most important thing and.. they eat bread sausages egg and cheeze 😂😂😂😂 … very interesting video learning different culture is always fun ❤
Super david bro ✌️👌✨🎉🎉
This is pure comedy. Sehr lustig DW!😂

washing thd car parts in the shower killed me 😂
Geiler teaser. Bitte mehr davon
Gute Video
I’m German and this really taught me about my compatriots
This is a very cool video! LOL
I didn't know socks and sandals were invented in Germany.
Hilarious…great stuff 👏
Thank you Jarrett! 😄
Relatable! I am Norwegian
"contrary to belief, german men actually don't sleep naked"
wait, people belief we sleep naked? do they think we don't know what pyjamas are? 😅
Why would one wear anything to bed?
If I got up at 6:22, I would be 22 minutes late for work.
I'm usually awake 10 minutes after 5, dressed, cleaned, on the toilet and on the way to work by 5:25 at the latest.
Changing at work doesn't take more than 5 minutes. Then another 10 - 15 minutes chilling in the lounge and then off we go.
Hahaha that’s a really great video
Thank you 😁
This bit is genius!
Loved this! So the typical German male is rather like the typical Brit, apart from that breakfast. Raw pork! Oh no. But I would feel really at home in Germany.
its delicious and i am gonna froce feed you XD
I've never seen raw pork dishes in Germany, luckily.
@@lio868poor you. It is delicious.
Do not forget the onions. You usually eat pieces of onions with it.
@@tomendruweit9386Isn’t there a chance of contracting trichinosis from consuming raw pork?
This was a funny video :D
I live in Germany and I can confirm. I think I've greeted my neighbors only 3 times last year.
I'm envious. I live in US and I greet my neighbors nearly every day. Even several times a day. 😩
I actually brush my teeth in the shower. I guess I'm German somewhere up my family tree hahaha
How do the other Germans start their day?
Get up at 11:00, still having a hangover, lighting up a cigarette, than asking themselves: do I have to go the Arbeitsamt today? If the answer is yes - than drink a red bull and start to get ready for your appointment at 15:00. If the answer is no - than drink a beer, take a good breath from your bong and go back to sleep.
Sausages seems like a strange translation for Aufschnitt, eventhough it's also called Wurst. But it's in the secular and the plural would be Wurstaufschnitt, so I would never call it sausages, but something like sliced sausage ham.
In American English we call them "cold cuts."
No stranger in the breakfast table but I think it should be was 🔥 😂
This is like David Attenborough for humans! 🤣
So no one is gonna talk about the EGGSpectrum pun? That was the best example of a german joke.
Most germans speak to their neighbour once per week 😅
Kinda love it.
2:34 “The vast majority of Germans shower several times per week, if not everyday”… wait what? It is not normal to shower everyday?! I would not be able to stay a day without a shower 🫣
It's strange, but my neighbor always showers in the evening so he can sleep a little longer in the morning...regardless of the fact that he sweats at night and goes to work in the morning already sweaty. And I have heard THAT from many.
As a german, a shower is compulsory for me because I do a 8 km run every morning and desperately need a shower afterwards.
It's actually not healthy to shower everyday, it washes away good bacteria and dries your skin out. Besides all the environmental aspects ...
@@Roger-np3wi A lot of cultures prefer to shower in the evening. Clean body in a clean bed. Do you go sweaty in your bed? In the morning then a quick wash.
@@b_bobsch6785I'm from Germany and I prefer to shower in the evening.
I am going to steal the brushing while showering.
The shower part is very true
65% never hit the snooze 👏
This is just like my morning routine
Fantastic
Ich liebe Clare.
That was super funny
Thank you!
Germans for me are like a python program encoded with some daily tasks that must be done. The last scene of the neighbour hints to that. The program has greeted the neighbor once so there is no command for another greeting
I would like to see the same video with britisch/french etc. men.
Maybe we have a surprise for you..!
Frühstücke wie ein König, iss zu Mittag wie ein Edelmann und zu Abend wie ein Bettler.
“Speggtrum” 😂
Cool
In 🇺🇸 American English the sliced meats are called "cold cuts."
Next❤❤❤❤❤
Michael sharing his shower with a wheel cover 😅
