Geminid Meteors and Aurora over Brant Lake 12/14/23

This time lapse video clip covers about 2 1/2 hours of beautiful clear nighttime shooting during the peak of the 2023 Geminid meteor shower in the early morning hours of Thursday December 14. The clip starts about 1:30 AM and continues to around 4 AM. A subtle aurora was active at the time adding color along the horizon as well as some shifting shafts of northern lights. Note the meteors appear and disappear quite quickly and all except one are near vertical streaks. The longer lasting trails of light that track across the screen are planes or satellites. This sequence captures around 30 easily visible meteors, a few of them are quite bright.
