My wife and I are enjoying Jupiter and the Galilean Moons every clear night here in Michigan. 👍
It is such a great target right now after sunset.
I love the winter sky. Apart from having some of my favorite things to see, the conditions are usually better than summer. I've noticed that nights are also more serene. Unlike summer, there are a lot less people out and about after the evening commute.
But it's also freezing cold!
I completly agree with you! The tradeoff of a cold night is worth the targets and experience this time of year.
Keep looking up
Clear skies!
Thanks for the updates! Really helpful for beginner star-gazers like myself
Glad to help!
I was able to show Jupiter to some neighbor kids yesterday on my 4" scope.
I love hearing that. It's still a great target out right now.
I saw M34 last night. And Mirfak. Lots of good Star clusters
It's a great time of year for star clusters. Keep up the great observations and thanks for sharing what you saw.
I will share some of my astrophotos with you.
Please do! I'd love to see your images. Feel free to tag me if you post them over on instagram!
Thank you for this video. Can you please tell me do you change the colour of the Nebula in your remarkable photographs?
I appreciate you saying that. The images shown in this video are of long exposure astrophotography and weill not show those colors through the eyepiece of a telescope. It's still an incredible view though through the eyepiece.
Can anyone please tell me the next time the planets align?
Meteor showers are boring as hell and at this time of year freezing 🥶. I'll never stare up for a solid hour hoping to see a flicker of light pass by. I'd rather be observing and imagining targets in the night sky.
So many great things up there for us to see! Keep enjoying your observing and imaging.
