ahhh i remember my first wheel only turned 09 degrees with absolutely no resistance and i loved it =)
it helped me get some experience before i actually got into a real car. i had gotten so used to the feedback, pedals and reactions from GT5 that it felt as if i've been driving for years already.
Bought logitech driving force gt wheel today and tried it with gran turismo 5 prolouge. man it feels great :) cant wait for gran turismo 5 to come out. conna be wheeli`n alot in the near future. hopefully in 2009 ^^

I have this wheel, I paid 100euro for it in argos. I made a stand out of metal. I would recommend it to everybody who likes racing games, at the moment I'm using it to play F1 2010. I absolutely love it
great wheel. i use it for gt4 on ps2 and its perfect.
Basically narrowing down what you said... If increased TCS your car will receive more grip but less acceleration and more understeer. When it's off, You'll feel like the Stig!

i got it steering wheel and the pedals are exellent the brake is more realtisic with the feel with the pressure on the brakes it like a real car and i never stop going on it :D becareful though i may go 900-degree each way but every game is diffrent so dont force it too much lol but dont worry you know when to not too :) hoped this helped any questions let me know :)

Use it for PC and PS3, awesome wheel. No idea why the GT light isn't on in this video as it does seem he is fighting the Feedback a little
Fair enough, it is easier to regulate your throttle with pedals and I'll agree the f1 is a pain for that. Getting out of first gear on a high powered car without TCS is soo frustrating aswell. If you feel more comfortable with it on then fine but practicing without it is a great habbit to get into.

it should but you won't be able to use the adjustment options. it will just be reconised as the old driving force pro
Yes it's compatible to ps2 and you can drive in gt3 and gt4

If you are planing to use a steering wheel on more games than GT5 P, then the G25 would be your choice.
Specially if some of those games that you're going to play, have a clutch feature.
I bought the Driving Force GT manly because I play Gran Turismo, and I don't have that mush games with the clutch feature.
So in the end, it depends on what you're going to do with it.
Don't know if i'm to late or not but best buy has them on sale for $99.
this wheel is awesome but sometimes the force feedback turns off for no reason, still a GREAT wheel for $100 bucks.
if you wanted the clutch just go hook the g25 pedals up to it and save money
it works great with the Dirt 2 demo, so i would think so

yes it works with all the racing games, the only game that i have that doesn't work with the steering wheel is Motorstorm

if your used to not having it, im not saying its better, but for less hardcore racers its definately going to be more liberal, and they can always dial it down as they get more comfortable. I only use TCS in Prologue on the F1 car and the tuned american cars myself, and it 2 on the f1, and 1 on the others.

I think u mean Traction Control System.
If you have too often spinning wheels turn it on.The higher the level the more the TC System will try to not spin the wheels while accelerating.I recommend u not to use TCS because its much more challenging if u have to put your foot on the gas pedal carfully.
But if u are a newbe u can use a little bit TCS if u want and set the TCS level lower if u can control the your car and one day u won't spin the wheels without TCS.
Never use TCS for drifting.

If I'm in a really high powered car, and im just driving for fun, I'm not going to practice getting the right ammount of throttle pressure to avoid wheelspin when i could just use TCS on 1 or 2. Not everyone is going to drive a sim without TCS just because its harder, or even because its better training, which its not, because there hasn't been a sim to my knowledge that can properly simulate TCS, and driving without it in any sim is just unnecessary difficulty unless your in it for lap times.

it does come with pedals, with very flimsy ones... i had it for 6 months and the springs of the pedals have already turned shit. The wheel works really well though.

But if you;re really looking for a wheel for racing, buy G25/G27, they worth every penny.
Gonna get mine at Best Buy, really don't trust mail order for something like this.

Odd why polyphony digital never showcase the g25 or g27 steering wheels as they are more advanced.
Not sure, I find it gives more control and better speed if you concentrate, and it's much more fun imo when you push. I guess I find it frustrating when I use TCS after all this time without it. :L
just ordered this wheel online.. I will try to convince myy dad to buy a blue ray and then recommend the PS3 CSE ITS SO FUCKING EPIC AND I WANT GT5! if i fail ill stick with f1 2010 and dirt :D

i think you should get the Steerwheel because everytime i go on any racing game
NFS Carbon, NFS Shift, NFS Shift, GT5 Prologue, DIRT 1 & 2 i want to go on steering wheel it makes the racing game whole lot better and realitic with the feel of the road especialy on GT 5 and Undercover
plus the game be cheaper before you know it when you play on the racing games with this cause beleve me you will want to go on it everyday :D
Maybe go to options and set it up or something?
I'm quite capable of driving without TCS, I chose not to for comfort. like I said, if I was going for leaderboard, I'd have to drive with it off anyway. I just don't think telling people to crank off their TCS without them having prior experience is a good way to get more people racing, if people told me to start sim racing without TCS on, I'd about hate motorsport before I ever really got into it.

there is no manual with it considering there are a lot of buttons there. Have no clue what is the function of some buttons. Logitech says they are game related
If ur getting the G25 dont cause the new one is coming out soon or is alredy out its called the G27 and its the same pirce

no it is not as the g25 has a clucth and 4 or 5 speed gearstick but it is a holl lot more expensive

Disagree. I always use a little TCS to prevent wheelspin in high powered cars, and I'm far from a newbie. A vast majority of high powered racing cars have some kind of TCS installed except pro-stocks, classics, and certain muscle cars. Running a prototype class car without a little TCS in real life would be suicidal, and I like to have it in sims as well.

Does anyone find the force feedback kinda jerky? Kinda feels like there are gears grinding inside or something. I bought it off ebay and this is my first time using it so maybe it is suposed to be like that.

Hi I just bought my Logitech gt yesterday and the force feedback is already half broken because the force strength only works half the time then just cuts out and I havnt been ruthless with it or anything can someone please tell me why it isn't working properly or how to fix it? Thanks

heres my review.. only buy it if you are just going to cruise and stuff cause i've had it for about 10 months now and the brakes are fuked up because when im driving in GT the brakes just fkin come on so i have to either pull the brakes back to prevent it or pull out the wire which connects to the wheel and blow in it then the brakes stops but it still comes on my rating: 4.5/5
i tryed this game nd steering wheel in dick smiths nd it was freakin awesome i was drifting each corner like it was driving a real car omg i would so recommend this wheel aye.

this wheel is still WAY overpriced. they need to make a new one and bump the price down cuz this thing is freakin 3 years old. ill pay 70-80bucks for it but not 120+ T_T
