    Thanks very much. You just solved my problem too.

    My Haynes repair manual doesn’t call for removing anything but the hose and alternator, why did you have to remove all that?

      How are you going to replace the sensor that's behind the crank pully? What year is yours? There are differences.

    Hi, question. This process is similar to replace the sensor on a 1996 Ford ranger 2.3?

      No clue. I would assume if it's a wayspark

    I fail to see how to run the new wires on a new sensor back on through the small channel it is in.
    Could you show how/ where you attached the other end? Looks like the wires are taped to another group of wires from my initial look.
    Could I possibly splice the wires onto the new sensor connection and use heat shrink in them?

    What brand of sensor was this? Did it work well? I gotta replace mine. 14:14

      Don't recall the brand. Got it off rockauto I believe. It didn't solve my issue because the issue was the EGR system

    To go around having to remove the timing belt, alternator, ac compressor... Cant you just cut the old sensor off and splice in the new sensor? 😅

      No because the sensor is mounted behind the harmonic balancer on this motor

    Putting a sensor in a location like this is just a kick in the nuts. How did u know it was bad before taking all that off to get to it? I'm not getting power to inertia switch or fuel pump and can't figure out why. All relays in the power distribution box are good.

    How did you get the wire through the back of the timing belt

    • @CorpseFreak
      @CorpseFreak  Рік тому

      Had to depin the plug and pull it through with a cloths hanger then repin the plug

    • @mikesaltman
      @mikesaltman Рік тому +1

      Why would you need to pull the wire through. Why didn’t you just replace the sensor and just plug it into the new one?
