The cast of victorious said they sent signals so each other whenever Dan was coming ... they were protective of each other.
Their demeanor has changed, and they said them used to get drunk just to be able to film or they were forced to drink

it's sad because I went to the first air TV shows of watching all that and Kenan and Kel when i was living in Orlando to find out what was going on with Dan Schneider and to have Nickelodeon brought back those other predators as soon as they got out of jail that's unbelieve smh
My mom would look for the guy leave him at 1hp then call the cops, she doesn't care about the money. To bad there's a not a lot of parents who would do something
The little girl calling the older guy her "boyfriend" as an isolated thing doesn't bother me that much, because it's just the story of a little kid with a crush. We've seen that before in movies and TV shows and not had a problem with it because it wasn't exploitative. But it becomes part of a pattern and paints a disturbing picture when you add that to everything else going on. The Wonder Years had Kevin and Paul looking at a sex book and trying to hide it from their mother, who it turns out had bought one for herself and thought they'd stolen it from her. None of that felt exploitative. It was just an identifiable coming of age story with kid logic.
Where it gets cringeworthy is with all the fetish porn references in Schneider's shows that adults would recognize and now we wonder why certain searches on porn sites are so popular. It's the height of grooming. Grooming of the young actors and grooming of the kids who watched the shows. There were no stories that kids identified with like The Wonder Years. Some of the worst I saw were on Jamie Lynn Spears' show and Victorious. If you know what a "money shot" or a wet bikini contest is, you know exactly what Dan Schneider was trying to do. And that's the problem.
A little girl crushing on an older boy isn't necessarily problematic on its own, but as part of a complete picture, it's gross. I don't have a problem with actors or filmmakers squeaking in adult humour in adult films and TV shows, or ones made for older teenagers to a degree. But when you're doing it for an audience of pre-teens, it's grooming.
Couldn't have said it better myself. All of it... As isolated incidents these wouldn't look cringe. But having the information we have NOW, it makes your stomach turn.
Everyone always made jokes about shows like beverly hills 90210 bc the actors looked 30 playing high schoolers. There were jokes but we still love that show bc we know that just meant Aaron Spelling understood that if you are acting out adult situations involving things like sex and drugs, it's NOT OK to have ACTUAL children acting that out.
It's bizarre how Dan got more and more comfortable with weird sexual jokes. I was 10-13 when Victorious was on and I remember getting turned on by the Cat Valentine segments. Acceptable for me at the time, but looking back at these times that is exactly what Dan was trying to do. I don't think he's involved in pedophilia but he definitely doesn't mind enabling such content. I think with that show in particular because the cast were all 18+ by season 2 somehow Dan Schneider thought it would be okay.

I saw the documentary and I was disgusted. Immensely. I’m honestly happy that Jennette and a few others got out of the entertainment industry. Been saying this for years, being a celebrity is not good. It ain’t it. Especially with what’s done behind the scenes.

Drake Bell, the 35-year-old actor known for starring in the popular Nickelodeon show “Drake and Josh,” was sentenced Monday to two years of probation over charges related to inappropriate communication with a girl who met him online and attended his Cleveland concert in 2017, when she was 15.
Bell pleaded guilty in June to felony attempted child endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
In a statement delivered over Zoom during the sentencing, the victim, now 19, said she had grown up a fan of Bell’s and first met him when she was 12 through a mutual friend of her aunt’s. He “instantly made me feel like he adored me right back,” she said, alleging that he groomed her for years afterward. The victim stated that she confided in Bell about her mental health struggles and went to him for boy advice, and that the nature of their communication became sexual once she told him she was 15.
The victim said the explicit nature of their messages and exchanged photographs made her feel uncomfortable at times, but that she “felt trapped and stuck because I still idolized him.” She accused Bell of forcing her to perform oral sex on him the night of the December 2017 concert at Cleveland’s Odeon Concert Club, and again while they were alone in his hotel room the next day.
“He was such a huge part of my childhood, and in return he ruined my life,” she said. “Back when I confronted him, he told me he didn’t want me to hate him. I don’t hate him, I loathe him.”
Bell was arrested in early June and initially pleaded not guilty. He went on to plead guilty to the felony and misdemeanor charges in Cuyahoga County court later that month. During the sentencing, Bell’s attorney, Ian Friedman, said his client “accepted responsibility” for causing the victim pain but denied that Bell had engaged in any sexual misconduct after she told him she was 15.
Her word against his… accepting the lesser sentence by pleading guilty to it, it’s a normal thing to do, so you can think whatever you want, but what happened to #believeAllVictims?
