Hey Mikey, I'm a dishwasher for this restaurant in Machias, Maine called West Branch Farms. It's this neck of the woods place with dishes made from farm fresh ingredients, such as the blueberry pizza (believe me, it's pure genius). Anyways I just wanted to say I enjoy your videos a lot, and keep it up
Mike, I'm so glad you came to my country, I love your videos! You should definitely visit Chinatown in San José to explore some of the Asian food we have to offer.
@@Coloradocaliber Chicharronera La Paila in Puriscal, the mix platter sells some of the best pork belly in the country, Cafe Rojo (Red Cafe) in San Jose has some very good asian food, also Pata Larga Beach Club is a little restaurant in puntarenas at the side of the road, it looks humble but its seafood is amazing
No, He meant Puerto Rico.. the Costa Rican rice dish is called Gallo Pinto... But Costa Rica likes to offer food from all the Latin American countries.
Youngsters don't know about Price Club. It was arguably better than Costco. In our area we also had FedCo, another member only store, that carried everything Price Club didn't have. Both are sadly long gone.
Wait a minute.....that quality and variety looks a bit better than Costco offers......beautiful country and better stores! Lucky! Did we count how many times Mikey says "Definitely". ???? and "Umami??"
Hi Mike, big fan. I'm a "tico", my name is Kevin. You should try to visit San José's Central Market, there are several restaurants there with typical food. I recommend the Tamales which are cakes of meat, the Carne en salsa which is Meat in sauce (very good), the Olla de Carne or Pot of meat which is a soup with vegetables and tons of meat, maybe some Sorbetera and those are Icecream basically. Please try a Pinto with the following sides: Salchichon y Salchichas that are sausages, Platano maduro that is a sweet babana type of thing, and Huevos y natilla or eggs or sour cream.
I'm Costarican and I.must admit that ceviche he tried is very good. The tortillas he tried are cheese tortillas (tortilla aliñada) very typical of Costa Rica The patties are caribbean jamaican patties those are from Caribbean costa rica
Mikey!! As Costa Rica’s neighbor here in Panama 🇵🇦, I’d LOVE to invite you so you can try some of the amazing food we have, but given the country’s current situation I would advise to come at a different time (could come for the Carnavales in Late February/early March!)
Asking if he is in Costa Rica is like watching a video about a broken arm, seeing the person break their arm, and then asking if their arm is broken. He literally says he is in Costa Rica in the first 5 seconds lol
Really wish you would do an episode on things you can order from Amazon or somewhere like that. Most of us can't travel, but would LOVE to try good food
Hey Mike, it's nice to see you travel all over the world eating different foods. But face it most of us regular folks are never going to get to these places in our lifetime. How about doing more vids in the US where we have a better chance of visiting.
To be fair... Pricesmart's not really a representation of Costa Rica's food. You should try a chifrijo, vigorón, patí, patacones, picadillos... now I'm hungry.
Mike listed the Patti and the ceviche that you eating, next time you should go to Limón the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Patti fresh made out of the oven and also ceviche You let me know if I am wrong What you bought in San Jose coming from a freezer and bags, oh hell no
Can't expect stuff you get at a Big box store to taste like restaurant quality food. It's the value that matters to me. I ate the ribs before I added a little water in the container and microwaved it
the food in the video looks good, but you should’ve edited out the part where you referred to Costa Rica as Puerto Rico because some of the people in the comments might call you careless for that lol
I only watch when I’m eating something good haha. That’s the only way I can get through the whole video without having to stop and by some good food haha
A lot of central american countries had Costco and at some point they transformed into Price Mart, but still related as they sell kirkland brand and a few other stuff Costco in the US sells but there is also a lot of stuff they don't sell anymore.
Its different on esch area. Limon has a afro-caribean influence so a lot of food is similar to the caribean (fish, coconut, spices). Puntarenas is a LOT of seafood (octopus, shrimp, ceviche). Guanacaste is full of traditional corn based food (tortilla de queso, masamorra, chorreada). The central valley has a bit of everything but is mostly hearty beef based meals for the colder weather. Also there is an insane variety of fruits and vegetables that are super cheap if they are on season
Love this Costa Rica review. Love seeing foodies travel to different places.
OMG Mike… how could you not put the tres leches cake on top of the corn cake instead of ice cream 🤯😍
08:24 LMAO, the smoke alarm chirp
Interesting mix of food.

I don't think he reads comments, just his social media team.
Mike, I'm so glad you came to my country, I love your videos! You should definitely visit Chinatown in San José to explore some of the Asian food we have to offer.
OMG I am so happy to know Mike came to Costa Rica. Pura vida Mike, hope you had a great trip
What are some must try spots if we come?

i kept saying throughout this video, “that would be my favourite” “that would be my favourite” “THAT would be my favourite” 😂😂😂
6:27 Is arroz con pollo the most popular dish in Puerto Rico or Costa Rica?
Costa rica he he I think it's also popular in Puerto Rico, they don't use salsa lizano there
when a comment about ribs is that they could use more sauce, they aren’t good ribs
I absolutely love tres Leche 😊
Tres Leches will always be my favorite cake
When you were talking about the Arroz con Pollo, did you meam to say Costa Rica & not Puerto Rico?
Just wondering
He doesn't read the comments. But yeah, he meant Costa Rica, he just literally doesn't even care anymore....He doesn't even know where he is lol
No, He meant Puerto Rico.. the Costa Rican rice dish is called Gallo Pinto... But Costa Rica likes to offer food from all the Latin American countries.
PriceSmart was founded by the founders of Price Club (which merged with Costco the same year) making it, in a roundabout way, a psedo-Costco.
Youngsters don't know about Price Club. It was arguably better than Costco. In our area we also had FedCo, another member only store, that carried everything Price Club didn't have. Both are sadly long gone.
@@wewd Mike is definitely not a youngster though
Awesome job Mikey thumb up .
Great vid, Mike!❤
Got spoiled by all the high-end places. This video feels phoned in😂
Eggs are also unrefrigerated in the Netherlands, and I'm guessing most of Europe. I was so surprised to see it the opposite way, when visiting Canada.
It's the same in most parts of the world, North America is the exception here
some days i wish i was dutch
Oh man as an asian who grew up in CR it makes me proud Mikey would visit to try our food. Pura vida! Que disfrute
Wait a minute.....that quality and variety looks a bit better than Costco offers......beautiful country and better stores! Lucky! Did we count how many times Mikey says "Definitely". ???? and "Umami??"
When he said Puerto Rico, staple rice I agreed, even though I knew he was in Costa Rica😂

Are you in Costa Rica??? Welcome! Hope you can see some nive things instead of staying in! Love ya, Mikey! I'm such a fan of yours!
🙌

@@strictlydumpling who hurt you? Hahahahaha
Congratulations on getting a response. Very very rare. Probably one of his staff 😂
He actually doesn't know if he is in Costa Rica or Puerto Rico....
Really wish you would do an episode on things you can order from Amazon or somewhere like that. Most of us can't travel, but would LOVE to try good food
Ohhhh, that’s a great idea. I second this. Amazon food’s episode!
You should just call it “Costco” Rica 😜
Great surf and great food! Count me in!
Hi Mike
Thank you for sharing.
I love your job!!
whenever Mike is exaggerating I feel like he's about to say "Hulk SMASH!!!" 😂😂😂
The Philippines has its own "Costco" called *S&R*
How do you eat so much food?
Love your content Mike! You're awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thanks!

Hey. Do you know if Pricesmart accepts the Costco card?
I live in Costa Rica and I know what these dishes from Pricesmart taste like. Makes me doubt Mike´s palate; this food is not a good as he described.
Props to Mike for having the guts to try seafood in a bag… my stomach could never 😅
You know, it'd be fun to see a crossover between Mikey and the guys from Sorted
3:34 Mike that is a Stromboli... 😅
Welcome to costco! I love you.
Pura vidaa 🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷
I miss Costa Rica 🇨🇷 I’ve only been once but they do have really good food
Everything looks delicious! 👍😊
most Latin America ribs, are tough, they're not fall of the bone
Hey Mike, it's nice to see you travel all over the world eating different foods. But face it most of us regular folks are never going to get to these places in our lifetime. How about doing more vids in the US where we have a better chance of visiting.
Or he could continue making the videos he wants to make?🤣
To be fair... Pricesmart's not really a representation of Costa Rica's food. You should try a chifrijo, vigorón, patí, patacones, picadillos... now I'm hungry.
He did, look at his other videos
Come New Zealand bro! You’ll love a hangi here, heaps of flavor
❤❤❤❤❤
Mike listed the Patti and the ceviche that you eating, next time you should go to Limón the Caribbean side of Costa Rica.
Patti fresh made out of the oven and also ceviche
You let me know if I am wrong
What you bought in San Jose coming from a freezer and bags, oh hell no
Not Puerto Rican rice for sure bruh 😎
Been following your food adventure for past 5+ Yrs.... Please do visit Pune, India.
Did he say Puerto Rico when he ate Arroz con Pollo ???? Please tell me I heard wrong
You didn't. He said it more than once. He doesn't even know where he is. He literally doesn't even care anymore lmao.
If you had a Switch?
You can’t beat that with a Hard Whooping 😋🍽
Looks delicious! 😊

You're in Costa Rica not Puerto Rico 😂😂😂 oops
Pricesmart is the best, we have one here in Trinidad and Tobago.
Too bad they don’t have different types of pizza and calzone here in the USA
You keep switching from "Puerto" to "Costa", Mikey!
Never this early damn
Yhat would be great over the fried rice dish! Yummy! ☺️🙂😋😋😋
oOOh MOmMi. Just can't stop saying it.
the food in the video looks good, but you should’ve edited out the part where you referred to Costa Rica as Puerto Rico because some of the people in the comments might call you careless for that lol
I need that calzone, why is that not in the states?
As always.. I should not watch your channel when hungry 😂
I only watch when I’m eating something good haha. That’s the only way I can get through the whole video without having to stop and by some good food haha
2 minutes and 17 seconds of a commercial in the beginning.
Gotta get that UA-cam money 💀💀💀
That’s why it’s called a sponsorship?
Takes 0.3 seconds to skip ahead lol
Where's the chili oil 😂
6:38 that unmistakably herby smell 👃 that clobbers you!!! Their fried rice looks amazing omg
The pork ribs, was not roasted properly.
How can you tell?
Your passport must look so dope with all the different places you have visited 🤙🏽
Glad to see you in latin America.
If you ever go to the Dominican Republic try sancocho. I think you would like that.
Why dont the eggs need to be refrigerated there??
Now i want to go to Costa Rica
Go to the coast. OMG beautiful.
Love and peace from Australia as always Mikey 🦘😘
everything look so legit!
Hey Mike. What a winner for to be a Costco's.. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.. Always good to see your vids. Enjoy!! ❤️🐞😋
A lot of central american countries had Costco and at some point they transformed into Price Mart, but still related as they sell kirkland brand and a few other stuff Costco in the US sells but there is also a lot of stuff they don't sell anymore.
The pizza looks alright but I prefer thin-crusted pizza myself.
Now you've got to try some of these dishes at some local restaurants.
you said puerto rico several times...
starting at 6:21
If you haven’t tried it yet, get a slice of Torta Chilena from a bakery there. They are amazing
Those ribs looked really tough👀
Mikey likes his pollo 😜
Iron stomach😂
Here from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Why r u not using gravy to dipp your tortilla
Love from India
It’s ok Mike I forgive you for confusing us with Puerto Rico
I feel like a "professional food vlogger" should know where they are tho? Shouldn't you?
interesting 🤔
Enjoyed the Costa Ricam Costco ❤❤
4:04 is it just me or did he say the thigh was good before he even had a bite?
Mike I’m waiting for you to do a New York video eating things at the best supermarket Wegmans!
Need more videos of the scary stories in your cabin
YEES I miss those
❤ wow... I need to go there and do a review... you rock 🎸 ❤
you should come to venezuela, food culture here is crazy
Totally spoilt by the frequent innane adverts.#
All that looked great and made me curious about what the food in Costa Rica is like in general, now...
