JMSN is one of the MOST if not the MOST slept on artist in the game man.. I don’t understand how he has one of the most vast and versatile discographies in the alternative scene yet it doesn’t seem like he gets the same praise as his contemporaries.. it’s a damn shame and a crime this man ain’t at least got nominated for a Grammy or something.. it makes no damn sense to me.. PROTECT JMSN AT ALL COST!!!

For this to be JMSN he chose a different path.. May have felt he had to choose after the last album which I recognize as his best until now and chose to take a hard right turn with this song and continued further down the darkside, further away from the grim lights of mainstream. Respect!
Saw JMSN live first time in Manila 2014 and the mystique got to me. He always kept it real since then and didn't become like the others in dark RNB pumping out hit-songs trying to reach the billboards and world fame.
This tune is a new sound, experimental and creative by one of the big ones of the last decade. For me regarded as the founder and pioneer of dark (new age) RNB in company with old-school TheWeeknd, Frank Ocean who lost track of who he were and the late, but great Jamie Woon.
This tune is not like anything he done before, more like UK garage with a twist as some said, but ain't surprised he's out trying to add shock value again!
Really underestimated artist who refuses to become mainstream. That can also be his death, but I don't think he give a damn.
This song ain't him even though it is at times. Gotta listen to it more before I decide if I like it or not, but Its impossible to dislike him for being inventive and not just go with the flow to make more money and get more fake fans. It seems like he loves his genuine fans, something the Weeknd just stopped care about when he smelled the Benjamin's and started making pop-music instead. Started do things easy!
I love JMSN when he put all off his heart out and showing us his soul! His ballads is underrated! Him with only the guitar or only the piano maybe accompanied with a woman's voice is just pure magic. That's when he's among the best through all-time history.
And then we got all the experimental stuff in-between like this one. Hits once in a while musically.
Looking forward to the album and hope he go back to some of his old soul and funky tunes wrapped into some dark ass lyrics. Last album was king and JMSN is still king of dark R'N'B! 👑
