Because the English language pronunciation is glided through as it is easy to moan, mishear, and mistake what people are hearing. It's why all English songs don't at least try to be clear, profound, and creative.

@Dampfkartoffel Alles kann anderst klingen, aber da die meisten das Deutsch von Damals kennen auch aus filmen usw wo sehr sehr aggressiv gesprochen wird. Daher wird das so täuschend vorgestellt. Deutsch kann immer gut klingen, vorallem wenn man n softe stimme hat. Nur viele machen es auch mit absicht um dieses Klischee zu 'erfüllen' bzw sogar ironisch aufzunehmen. Ich spreche z.B. auch manchmal aus spaß so richtig aggressiv aber deutsch ansich klingt eigentlich ganz fine

Saying "I love you" softly in any language is always amazing. But in german the "dich" is still soft but still a little forced my default. Like the pronounciation forces you to say something really impactful. The english "you" is way too soft and unpactful. Hope that makes sense.

I wonder if since "dich" sounds a bit harsh sometimes, you could substitute it for "du"? Same if not similar meaning, both translating to "you" in english, but different.

ah me too! german can be a super soft and pretty language, but i think the most people have ever heard of it in an exaggerated way ;-;
and I'm jealous that you got to learn german in your school! in america all we have is spanish, french, and sign language.
@@OG_Melxn oof, well at least in most school districts then we don't learn german! tbh, the schools i went to so far (elementary school, middle school) are underfunded and don't get as much stuff as other schools, so maybe more schools teach german, and i don't know?
And yeah, it's super sad that people think german is aggressive. I think the most they know of german is "nein!" and hitler, which is super sad :(
