And now he's 95! What a guy. I agree: Rodgers and Hart were the best songwriters.

Peter's 97th birthday party was on youtube--after recovering from covid and sepsis. Some people just have that longevity gene.

He looks really good for a 90 yr old man.
If we're supposed to live a 100 years we better age like Peter Marshall. I call this healthy aging.

He sure does!!! I remember watching The Hollywood Squares as a kid whenever I was either sick from school or on Summer break (obviously the NBC daytime version), I didn't understand some of the double-entendre used as "zingers" by some of the stars, especially Paul Lynde back then, but later on, as I watch all the clips of the original 1966-1980 daytime run on UA-cam, they are funnier than f***!!! Some shows on the nighttime syndicated version were not shown by or were banned by GSN (Game Show Network) because of all this "PC" garbage we now live with (thanks mostly to Obama), many of the existing episodes they said (the GSN Network Censors, obviously hand-picked by highly-offended soccer moms brainwashed by the PC movement) are "too risque" for today's viewing audience...... ahhhh...... TOO RISQUE for a 21st century audience??? GET REAL GSN!!! ......or is it now the "24/7 Family Feud Channel", if you can run all of Steve Harvey's FF episodes full and uncut, why not all of the Peter Marshall episodes of Hollywood Squares, complete, unbutchered (and that includes crunching credits and/or cutting into the episode for more ads) and uncensored (except originally by NBC)!!!

Nice to see Peter's still "got it"...had the privilege of meeting him back in 02 when he dropped by a Borders in NYC for a discussion/signing of his book Backstage With the Original Hollywood Square.

we have a great AM radio Station here in Montreal "CJAD" AND every year at this time they play "A Paul Reid's Christmas" which is not to be missed. he mentioned Peter Marshall and how Peter saw this Iconic Holiday and his ideas of it are so real and express exactly what this day represents!!

Peter is very coherent and engaging, no sign of the gravelly "old man" voice. No reason why he won't last to age 100! Being way too polite re. Carson snub...while Carson was a genius, he definitely was tough to work with

Johnny Carson never appear on the Hollywood squares. Even they worked in the same building NBC Burbank.

But Doc and Ed appeared many times. It usually taped in the studio next to Johnny's, on the weekends.

First of all, so called "Peter Marshall" isn't his real name. There was nothing wrong with his actual birth name, Ralph Pierre LaCock He obviously He obviously "sold out" his birth name because of the shallowness of the entertainment industry?! Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Business Manager, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? In reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not earn) a greater buck?!
