As a german myself I am really surprised how accurate this english version is compared to the original german text.
You did a great job, both on the translation and performance 🔥

This song was originally sung in a German language as it is a song of the Teutonic Order sung by its knights. The crusades were a very interesting time!

En tant que Normand et Rouennais, ça me fait bien plaisir de savoir que ma ville a été la capitale de l'empire illustré sur la vidéo, on a régné de l'Écosse à l'Aquitaine tout de même (sans compter les autres conquêtes normandes)

The Angevin empire had no official capital Angers and Chinon were place were they held court the most tho and England and the Plantagenets are the ones that benefited the most from that's why some French lords wanted to be a part of the kingdom of France again

I like this version as well as many others. Good job and keep up the great work friend. Are you able to do my mother told me in old Norse version but in English? And I do not mean the ones that other youtubers had remade or made or used. Im talking about really translating. The real old Norse version to English. If you can not do this then that is fine. Also great work friend. :)

Maybe due to the word order? The words are modern, but the arrangement of words are unique.

@@trevorlee7953 Well could be because English is a Germanic language after all, the pronunciation is a bit weird but listening to it in german too much has made us believe English souds like german

@@GladiusRomae , modern English and modern German are not to close in terms of the words they use imo. If we’re talking about going a couple hundred years back then they’re are VERY similar. As some have said, English isn’t one language, it’s a few languages in a trench coat.

No, there is nothing strange about it. The territory has been called that way since 135 AD, it was named that way by the Emperor Hadrian after putting down the Bar Kokhba revolt.
The song is of Catholic origins, and Catholicism does not have to justify the Zionists in occupying those territories, quite the opposite because the Israelis do not want there to be Christianity in their territories and have taken policies against it. If you see Catholics justifying Zionists on the internet, it would be good if you replied to their error and why it is a contradiction.

@@partidocomunistachino777 It was actully called that way before 135 ad The ancient Egyptians referred to the area as "Peleset" over 3000 years ago, Assyrians called it "Palashtu", and the Ancient Greeks referred to it as "Palaistine" back when Herodotus was around. All of this was pre-Roman. . It was renamed palestine.

@@partidocomunistachino777 It was the kingdom of Israel before it was Palestine. Do you know the Israelites are from the Bronze Age right? That’s before 135 BCE. Israel has been very active in allowing tourism especially from Christians. What are you smoking? Muslims aren’t your friend pal, they never have been and they consider every Christian prophet of importance to actually be a Muslim. Do you know about all the attacks and burnings of Christian’s in Muslim countries?
