Over here in the UK I have never even seen a Nepros tool, but the quality is self evident, even just watching on a smartphone screen!
If I ever buy any, I suspect they may end up in a display case in my living room.....they look too good to use on anything greasy!

They have pretty much zero presence in America as well. I make a point to try and use them normally and not baby them too much.. although I can’t help being a little more careful with these!

@@BrandoDamo Exactly my philosophy. Enjoy having something beautiful to use. Japanese carpenters may pay many thousands for a hand saw, plane or natural water stone but these are definitely for use. They are highly regarded and enable and inspire one to do his best work. They are properly used and maintained and are not for placing on the fireplace mantel.

Beautiful extensions! I really wish they'd include a tray to organize the entire set like my Koken 1/2's came in.

Interesting... but I'd like to see some of their stuff thats seen regular 'day in day out' hard commercial use for a few years.

I use Nepros and Koken products in a semi-harsh industrial environment with no issues at all. I don’t think you’d have any problems with either manufacturer, although you’re not going to have the ease of warranty replacements and the convenience like you’d get with a tool truck brand coming to your shop, so they might not be perfect for everyone.

Would you recommend nepros over snap on. I have just got a new job whuch requires me to be a lot more hands on so i will be using hand tools again a lot more. I am looking for the best growing ip snap on was always what everyone wanted but i have seen the nepros and post about them saying there as good as snap on or better.

While I do believe now that but Nepros and Koken can be used in a professional working environment, I would also consider the ease and time of acquiring the tools, and how important the warranty situation would be to you. Definitely can’t go wrong with snap-on and especially if you break tools, but the high end Japanese items do have something special about them and are of excellent equality.
