I was looking at your spices and the electrical box by the stove. What if you created a spice rack, like the plate rack you made a while back. You could use 1”x2” boards and square dowels on a thin board backing (so you can easily remove it when needed). Just a thought. I love your ideas and content!!❤. You guys have a beautiful family and it was wonderful having the cameo of the baby!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Here’s an idea for covering that electrical panel. Have Nelson build you a spice rack a little larger than the panel and then take a piano hinge and put it on the same side as the opening for the panel. Make sure that the spice rack can go flush against the wall if you need to access the panel. I would probably have a wood piece at the back of the spice rack to cover the electrical panel up completely but it would be completely accessible. You could have it in a natural wood to compliment the white walls. And it would be readily accessible to your stove. It would also be cool to make it a little longer to also have some extra storage for incidentals. Love what you have done so far!!!! I would truly LOVE to have an auxiliary kitchen like this one, especially when your house gets built!!! This will be sooo great for parties because you wouldn’t have guests constantly going in and out of the other kitchen!!!! 💕💕💕💕

To cover my electrical box, I hung some shutters over them. I hinged them on the outside so we can still have easy access. Looks so good! Love the kitchen!

I hanged art over mine. I made a frame that just rests / hangs on the edge of the electrical box. So it is easy to take it off when we need to access it. I wish I could send you a picture, I don't know if I'm explaining it well.

It looks beautiful, you've inspired me to add pegs above my coffee bar now 😮 Have hubby create a spice shelf/rack on a hinge to cover the electric panel so that it would basically swing open like a door when you need to access the panel or just paint over it with your wall color. I have one next to my couch, I just painted it with my wall color and don't even notice it.

You could add a piece of artwork slightly larger than the electrical box panel. Use a piano hinge to hang it and it makes accessing the electrical box easy. Love the curtains and bright white paint. Simple and beautiful. Great job!

Lovely. Open cupboard shelving is not my thing. Everything gets covered in dust, cooking oil, and Pet hair, but, you do you!😊 To camouflage your breaker box the obvious and easy answer is cover it with a framed picture.
Oh my goodness, your cottage home looks so cute! You and your hubby make such a great team! Personally I like the white mixed with natural wood tones….well done 😊. Regarding the spices, I purchased some spice racks that are magnetized from Amazon. I put them up on the side of my frig…doesn’t look tacky. Since you want them by your stove for cooking, how about a cute spice rack fixed to the wall? And one more thing…the little cameo your baby girl was just precious! Yami, your whole kitchen is AWESOME. Actually your whole property is. You couldn’t have picked a better property and location. It seems nice and quiet and I love small town living and raising a family in a small place. I always lived out of town when my 5 children were growing up and then we lived on a farm for 15 years out of town when my kids were all older and then left home. I love your whole kitchen, my favourite part is probably the open shelving and your curtains, they are very cute. Oh sorry, I got the wrong favourite thing. My favourite thing about your kitchen was your precious, adorable, angel that your husband was showing off. She is so beautiful Yami. I know it’s hard when you have more than 1 baby or toddler but in the long run it is so much better, they always have a playmate and are generally closer to each other, they do things for ear other and your older children will also be able to help you too. I had 15 months between my last daughter and my 1st son and 11 months between my 2 boys my last 3 were extremely close to each other and they all looked out for each other. Have a great weekend.

I hung an old window that has a painting on the back. However, you could paint the box white, then hang an old window and frost the panes of glass. Hang a small green wreath and tah dah! A lovely accent piece & no more breaker box. As for you spices, just build some small shelves just the size of your bottles. Your kitchen looks so beautiful! Great job! 😊❤😊🙏

I would try a canvas picture over the electric box. They're light weight & easy to take down & put back. Don't keep your spices that close to the stove for very long. The heat will ruin them so I've heard. The kitchen is looking so good. Nice and bright. Love the open shelving & the nice jars. The baby is just too adorable.
Yami you should check out cosmopolitan cornbread. Constance has a spice rack totoral on how she has built her's. You could get a lot of tips from her channel . Your kitchen looks incredible. You and Nelson and the children have done a wonderful job. Love those lace curtains their the perfect touch for your windows. Love everything about it. As for your electric box you could add a shallow cabinet over it. I had to do the same thing in my kitchen. If you do it right no one will ever know. Hope these ideas help. Hi Yami! Your kitchen is beautiful! To cover the electrical panel and maximize space, I would make a custom spice rack for your spices. It looks close to the stove so I believe it’s going to be functional and look nice.

Leaving the shelves natural like your counter top would've been more cottagey..if that's a word 😊too much white no character...Nelsin or you can make a natural wood spice rack and hang it in front of the breaker box ...

Electric box, get an picture frame large enough to cover, and make a hidden spice rack inside. Able to function and hid your Electric box.
Frame a chalkboard or wipeboard and use it for a😢 grocery list, menu, calendar and hang it over the electrical box. You could even magnetize it and put magnets on the spice jars and voila two problems solved
Hi Yami, Good to see you again and your baby Girl is adorable i see why Nelson wanted to show her off. Bless him proud Daddy!. The kitchen is coming along nicely. you said you wanted to hide the electrical panel why don't you make your spice rack to go over the top of it Removeable not permanent it will be aesthetically pleasing to the eye and functional as well and its on the side where the stove is at. I too have a lot of spices but i have a cupboard full and a rack too. We are in our forever home now finally back in October and i have room in our oversized garage which will be a workshop for me as my craft room is in the loft of the garage. I am still tweaking a few things upstairs but it is almost there. i have a craft room office and library for all my décor and DIY books gardening and jewelry making reference books. My hubby bought me a new desk and chair and i bought some new light fixtures that i like so it is now super bright in the space. I went with a white marble look desk surface will gold legs and the chair has gold legs also and a white cushion with shiny crystal buttons. Now all we need is insulation sooner rather than later i hope its freezing here in Ontario Canada. I hope that snow storm didn't impact you in any way i know you don't get snow there very often we get it all the time here. The cottage is looking great you guys have worked really hard on it and it looks so nice, remember to reward yourself by having a few days together not working on the cottage and just enjoy the space your in. We are doing the exact same thing. We had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure this was actually our place now. We have become friends with the previous owners and it turns out Byron went to the same school as my husband Paul. Small world he was also in the Canadian Navy. So elegant and classic. I’d hate to cook lol. I covered a electrical box in my granddaughter’s bedroom with a kite( non-plastic) as Pooh was fly a kite and it got tangled in the tree I painted along with Pooh Bear. I absolutely love that lil kitchen. So happy the lil darling girl made her appearance in the video.

you did an outstanding job. I would paint inside the corbels because it looks like you forgot to do it. Maybe if the tops of the shelves were natural, it would look more convincing-still goegeous!

Yami, how about using a chalk board/bulleting board on a hidden hinge to hide the electrial panel door. As far as the spices, you didn't mention if you wanted it to be permanent since one day you will have your new home and I'm sure you will take the spices with you. LOL Make a rack of some sort that can be moved when the time comes. Nelson is to talented, I know he can make you the perfect spice rack.
Oh what a beautiful room, it looks amazing. But all your projects look amazing. If you want the spices to be along the left wall. Can hubby make a hanging spice rack, with a back. This is why. Hing it along one side so if you ever need to access the panel box just fold it open, like opening a door. If you need it a little more to the left of the panel door. Cover it with a nice peg board , for recipes to be close at hand while cooking. And create the spice reach to flow along the same size as the frame on the board. Adding some of the wood to the wall will be a suttle transfer.
Maybe creating a spice rack frame that opens and closes to access the electrical box? I’m sure you’ll find something that will work well in that space. 😊

How wonderful for you to have a functional kitchen again! It looks so good and you’ve thought through every detail. As I looked at that electrical box I thought of an artist canvas. So many ways you could decorate one.
Everything looks so beautiful! To cover my electrical box I just hang a picture in front of it, same in the kitchen where there’s one of those things phones used to plug into. Super easy to do and have access to what you need and you can change the whenever you want!
Yami the kitchen looks amazing. Love the open shelves. To cover the electrical box I have seen a cow face canvas at home good, maybe you can find a farmhouse canvas to put over it and is easy to remove. I have to say the best part of today’s video has to be baby girl cameo. TFS 😊

I would organize the spices in a drawer instead of using up counter space and looking cluttered. A pic or painting would cover that electrical box. Nice work on your kitchen.

So charming and pretty. Over my electrical box I hung an unframed canvas print that fits my decor and no one is the wiser and quick to remove if needed.

I love love love it so much. Maybe put a pretty picture on hinges, that way you just flip it open if you need to excess it. The picture of showing the sink and the window curtains was beautiful site.
You could hang a picture with measuring cups hanging from the frame, or a large beautiful tray over the electrical box.
shelves are my favorite....about the electrical box, paint it the color of the walls, then make shelves the width of your spice jars, have the shelves about 2 inches wider on each side of the box but have the top of the shelf where the spice jar top will be just a tad taller than the top edge of the electrical box...space as necessary and have the bottom shelf be one half inch lower than the box this way all the edges of the box will be covered...have the shelves all in one, and in the same wood color as the natural wood in the spice tops, the pegs.etc....and when you need to get into the box, there are 2 ways to do it., I would get a piano hinge and hinge one side, the right side while standing in front, that way the hinge will be facing the stove, it could swing open to get to the box, or hang it on two hangers and lift it off...I would use the hinge...could maybe paint it white also...you can put a dowel across the back or a thin piece of wood about half an inch wide to make sure the spices don't fall out the back...and if you have more spices than say 4 or 5 shelves just go further down the wall, not too wide, go down, so the hinge won't be stressed....your handsome Latino engineer can make you a spice shelf easy peasey ....did I even make sense.....now if you don't want to do the shelf get a painting and cover the box....but you need to have your spices handy, so good solution to two dilemmas....
Paint a canvas print to cover the electrical box I’ve seen you do it before. Add a shelf to the left for your spices. Also put them in alphabetical order it really helps when trying to find them. Love the kitchen.
I suggest you put a spice rack to cover the panel door to the right of your stove. Paint the door the same color as the walls and add the spice race over it. It would be convenient and close to the stove. I have wondered where you guys went. I watched you a long time ago but lost touch. I came across you today and have spent the whole afternoon catching up. I sure missed a lot including the addition of another baby and your current pregnancy. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to watch your new home being built on your beautiful property. I'm back for the journey.

Yami, I love this kitchen. The facet and handles are gorgeous. I have an idea that we done to cover the electrical box build a door to cover it and pop ain't it white it won't be noticed. We've had our for 39 years in our home and no one has ever noticed it. But you could put a picture over it. Keep up the good work everything looks beautiful. Can't wait for the next one.

We had a similarly exposed electrical box. We painted it the same color as the wall. Also, I saw someone put hinges on a canvas picture and mounted over the door.
