@Robbie Lennon They do exist - but yes they have been decommissioned apart from Siren G, I saw Siren B, F, and M still on their towers very recently (at 10am on consecutive Monday mornings, none of them sounded). How did you know that G was repaired recently? Do you work for the hospital? I didn't see anything on the website.
Well personally I think its crazy to get shot of them, not every one has there eyes glued to social media to know if there is a issue, specially when a 1/3 of the day were asleep, I understand escape from Broadmoor is not something to likely happen, But hey lets put peoples safety to risk while we trail out a new system that only works if our eyes are in the right direction at the time. its crazy to think someone feels 13 loud noises that everyone can hear in one go is not up to the job anymore !!!!!
They initially wanted to get rid of them May last year but didn't due to the hospitals refurb so maybe May next year, when the Broadmoor Hospital perimeter fence is reconstructed.
One thing I was wondering would be that the car park does not look like it is from the 1950's. Surely this siren would have been added at a later date or something? It might be the case that a siren tower was there originally and they moved the siren.
hello, i'm working on an informative video on the klaxon cs8 sirens. do you mind if i use some of your videos? i will give credit in the description. thanks!
Thanks, I was wondering if they were or not. I live in Somerset and a mate and me want to come and listen next to them before they have the plug pulled permanently!
I know there are quite a few of them, I was tempted to go for the K one as you park right next to it! It would be good to get hold of whoever manages the car park and see if a visit can be paid to that bit at the top. I'm sure being within a couple of feet of it would check whether you're alive or not! No doubt health and safety crap would put a definite no to that!
The car park owners cant help you with that, these are all owned by WLMT and it is a criminal offence for anyone else to enter their enclosure. you can stand below it without a problem, though you cant actually see it.
It's sad that this siren is gone. Childhood memories
Has this one ever had a stuck damper?
Not that I know of, but it was out of action for a long time.
THEY FIXED IT???!!!!
Doesn't work any more :(
Michal M the system has been decommissioned.
@@_ohmz_electric Are you Sure? The broadmoor hospital website says there is one left working!

@Backup Excuser I can now sadly confirm that all the sirens have been decommissioned.
Yes this warns the sky and its residents
it has relay problems? it's skipping🤔

Heard this last week and it is working flawlessly, on time (literally), shame it's going next year though 😩
do u know what date that one is being decommissioned?

@@youngishwolf8 I went to hear it on Monday, it didn't sound despite it not being decommissioned yet :(
@@MichalM pretty sure it was decommissioned, the protective things near it have been removed and i havent heard it since ._.
@@youngishwolf8 Really? Oh well. Do you live in Camberley? I'm at Siren B now but it's not going off :(
It's terrifying how fast it winds up
agreed

Welp. Now, all that matters is that all of the CS8 sirens won't exist in Broadmoor anymore, besides this siren, which may be replaced.
@@alexilauto1419 Nope, this siren has gone completely!
I have a feeling thats the case. As well as siren G. Although it may not look like it was from the 50s it could have been revamped

At about 5:37 the bearings don't sound great!
ajs2120 That's not the bearings. That is the shutters. They rattle around a bit when closed.
1 like + 1 respect to CS8
mrmattandmrchay upload Broadmoor K in 2015 And THIS IN 2017 And They Replace It in 2019
They removed it, they didn't replace it at all :/
its so cool when it winds up at 0:08 and at 2:59

Hello Professor, Could I use your video in my video please? I will give you a defnite mention in the description if approved.
Sure, as long as it's credited to me use any of the vids.
@@professorjamesmoriarty5191 Thanks!
GOD DAMN THIS ONE WORKS PERFECTLY
It was one of the last to be repaired, not long before I took this video.
Wow
Sounds like it's still got problems
Timer on this one is strange.
What is the port ratio?
10 - 12
Are these still sounding every monday or have they fully cut them off now?
They are still running at the moment, but for how much longer I'm not sure.

If your doing that the one at Bracknell railway station is easy to see and works faultlessly. ua-cam.com/video/xNK79xKLzjw/v-deo.html

I heard an airplane too. Sounds sad. Is this in Florida?
This is in Camberly, UK.
Siren Master17 lol broadmoor system is made from 🇬🇧 and also I live in Florida to
Haha "is this in Florida" nice. it literally says in the video title, typical Floridians.
*Camberley lol
WHATTTTT?!
There is already a video showing this siren running before.
fun fact they replaced this siren in 2015 and thats the new one
Klaxon stopped production of the CS series in 2005 so it cannot be a new one.
