Thank you so much, aside from the camera not always pointing at the areas you discussed ( I know it is challenging making videos) this was a really helpful and generous video. I wish I could come to your shop, you are a great teacher. Now I need to find a good used Nilus loom..thank you 🙏

I am absolutely an amateur videographer (getting better with practice, I hope) but hope you’re forgiving of that in exchange for my expertise on the subject matter.
Please feel just as free to request a better angle/shot on something you wished I hadn’t missed.

@@tammyldecktlddesigns7 That is very kind of you, I got the idea from your description. I wish I could buy a loom from you but I am in Florida. Your videos are excellent, very very helpful, thank you again.

@@tammyldecktlddesigns7 Tammy, I got my Nilus thanks to you and due to you. We found one in South Carolina and my hubbie drove 5 hours to get it and immediately drove back another 5 hours. It’s from around 1978. I am really pleased with it and enjoyed threading in the back of the loom but realized that I have to reverse the threading if I do it this way, yes? I believe I will have to read the treadling draft from the top down as a result, do you agree? I cannot seem to find much information about threading a loom from the back which is so strange because it works so well. I hope you do at mind my asking, I am a bit confused about whether I will have to modify all future weaving patterns to use your method. It was so easy to warp it all this way, I thin you are a genius!

shaft #1 is still shaft #1 regardless of being in front of the loom or behind it....that’s why there is no information to the contrary. if you threaded your loom as though the shaft closest to you (when behind it) is #1 then yes, you would need to follow through with a treadling reversal to match it. make sense? with practice, the easier adjustment is simply to remember shaft #1 is furthest from you....shaft #1 is always shaft #1.

@@tammyldecktlddesigns7 Thank you Tammy, I had to rethread half my warp due to skipping a dent in my reed but I finally have it working and I tested using the treadling bottom up and top down and they look the same, phew! One day I will feel silly about this, I know it...😄 Thank you SO MUCH!

Can you tell me the size of the hook turn buckle on the break? I need to get one and I do not know what size to get.

watching now because I just bought the 36" Nilus 8 shaft with the back hinge treadles. If you know anyone with a sectional beam and tension box for sale, please let me know.
