I was in Saudi Arabia when I 1st heard this song, desert Storm was over, washing my M915 tractor trailer 2 this song, love it, 62nd Trans. Co. Road runners, Ft. Bliss, Tx.
My gurl did it again. "I Like That" was her strong New Jane Swing genre with exceptional vocal range. I missed her present, angelic soprano vocals, and humble spirit since she is so down-2-earth. I adore all her albums that she created. Wish she would do a private show and sing her sets of fans' favorites. No present day artist can sing around Miss Spencer, she is like Countess Vaughn just vocal beauties with soft vocal -presences!
I'm an old man now but I wrote and produced this song on Tracie. It was suppose to be for the GoodGirls another group I produced when I was a kid but they were done with their record so I changed it to make it for Tracie. She was and I'm sure still is awesome.
This song just popped in my mind...I use to walk home from my job when I was sixteen and listen to this cd and this song was one of my favorite! Glad its on youtube...see that is why I love youtube
she always have been a respectful beautiful woman and very talented it would had been nice to see other female artistes like tracey spencer we love you
I wrote this song for the GoodGirls in 1989 but the manager wouldn't let them do it so I recorded it Tracie after I met her when I was musical director for The Boys' first tour. Rosie Perez was on the tour with us, she was the choreographer for The Boys and also Kipper Jones was with us, he was the vocal producer for the tour. Kipper wrote a lot of Brandy's first hits like "I Wanna Be Down" and "Baby Baby Baby". I miss hearing Tracie too. The whole family were great people.... Marty, Nikki and their Dad
That's very interesting. I am looking for this song Naturelle by Spencer but I can't find it. I can't even find the lyrics. Do you have any tips for me? I just want to hear it. I understand it was co-written by Crystal Bernard. Is it on the internet somewhere?
My favorite songs on Make The Difference (1990) is 1.) Tender Kisses and 1A.) "I Like That." Tracie handled her business on this song and I love the beat Kyle Hudnall put together on this underrated gem. I feel the years 1989 and 1990 whenever I listen to this song.
Thank you!!!!👊 I just heard it for the first time a month ago randomly on my Pandora....and I was like "What?? This is Tracie Spencer?? How come THIS didn't drop back in the day???" I have been listening to it almost every single day since! If they were to put this on the radio even NOW, I think it could blow up!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
She did that! & please keep in mind that @ the time of this album's release she was merely 16 years old - amazing vocals, amazing tracks. So much so, that I have a copy of this CD 'till THIS day - as Luther Vandross would say: "Never too Much"...
I always have this song on repeat it's the best one off the album. She needs a unsung, miss her so much.
She declined when they asked to feature her
I miss Tracie Spencer and her music, she's an incredible singer with a sultry voice of an angel. I do hope and prey she returns back again one day.
She recently had interview on the Sherri show

The bridge from 1:43 to 2:07 is to die for. Ain't NOTHING like New Jack Swing era bridges😍.
