- The crossover/compact SUV segment is one the fastest growing vehicle class in South Africa at the moment. With the introduction of the chinese brand the Chery tiggo 4 pro, the market is about to take a whole different trajectory. The rivals of this car include the vw t-cross, toyota urban cruiser and Suzuki Vitara brezza. Though some people are concerned about the reliability of chinese cars, this car comes with a good warranty. It's bigger brother the tiggo 8 pro is also launching soon.
Is Chery tiggo 4 pro reliable ??

I own one of this. Bought it ka July. Wouldn't encourage anyone to buy it unless you want to flex for just that moment then return it.
1st it consumes fuel like crazy.
2. Wipers have factory fault. They scratch the bonet so badly when you wash it.
3. The number plate at the back makes a lot of disturbing noise.
4. Some seats and doors makes squeaky noises.
5. Not all cherry tiggos can start from outside or has voice commands
6. After some time when you put on the aircon it makes some weird scratching noise.
7. The silver band at the back and the boot handle sticks out especially when it is sunny. You have to keep pressing it back.
Its a cool, good looking car that always has that BUT. My experience with it is definitely not a good one
Buying Chinese cars is just a finder finder. You have to always expect the worst so that you don't get disappointed when the car starts acting up.
@@MuziSambo My car is now at 18 000 km the hooter stopped working, the braking system started to malfunction and later the shock broke. The car has been into service for the past two weeks now as I type this. I wouldn't advice anyone to buy it seriously. Now I am waiting for a part that I am not even sure when it will see shipped for my car to get fixed.

Finally we have lift off on the test drive nice one. To be honest we are overspending with these overrated,overpriced VWs for stocko, the car really sounds like value for money especially for ranging under R360,000

Everybody seems to be writing the car off due to high fuel consumption but most popular cars of the same size are consuming the same amount,why not talk about it.our Toyota fortunes,some Benz and BMW models.Same thing with Haval,is it because it's Chinese maybe??

Hi sir. Please do a review on the new chery Omoda. The specifications under driver assistance of the car and how the car behaves are not the same thing. For instance they state that the car has front and rear parking sensors. When i park the car infront of a wall, there is no beep to indicate the distance nor does the camera of the car switch on. The automatic emergency braking is also not working. I noticed that when an object is directly infront of the vehicle the vehicle does not sense it but when its on the side of the vehicle it senses. Please help with this issue as Chery refuses to assist. I noticed that there are two front sensors which are not connected which could be the reason why when an object is infront of the car it cannot sense.
When asked they say that in china they reverse park hence the car has two side sensors. They have taken the car 5times. The 4th time i was there when they were testing it and i asked for a report after, they couldn’t give me one instead they called for the car for the 5th time and i wasn’t there and a report was generated. The car in question is an omoda elegance

Car prices keep on increasing every year. That's why they keep on making "new cars", it's because you can only increase the price of a new car.
Finally a manual wow why get automatic if manual so much more cheaper when you need something fix in the motor

Please assist with clarity. What is the difference between natural aspirated engine and turbo charge. I know you break these things down very.
Turbo charged means quick to break. Naturally aspirated means normal engine that will last.

The fuel consumption is not documented, but I've heard people saying it's quite steep.

Awzwe ke that's what I'm talking about 😉... this reminds me of QQ(R400)😅... There's not much to fault about this thing except for the CVT gearbox. Mina i hate clutch control and shifting nonstop kwi traffic.. T-Cross takes it for me here, all day ,everyday ..😛🐶
Edit: how can you criticize the car when this guy is sitting next to you😂😂😂...so according to this video, this car is 100% perfect. We also have one here in Durban...just one
😂😆...it's only 98% perfect cos I did mention the voice command malfunction and also the average fuel consumption is not well documented and could be quite steep. I'll try to do a test drive of the automatic variant so that I can also highlight some of the things I omitted in this video.

Apparently the taigo is smaller than the VW T-cross...and anything smaller than T-cross is just a polo in my opinion😁😁 They should just call it a polo cross!
