Love your videos. I'm in the states but love Aussie cars as much or even more than the cars over here. I'm a mechanic, have been for almost 40 years and would love an Aussie classic muscle car to own or even move to Australia and be a mechanic over there. I'm a GM person but love all the old cars. GM, Ford Or Chrysler. If you ever need a hand finding cars or parts here in the states just let me know what you need and I can more than likely find it for you and in good condition. These cars need to be saved, and put back on the road, or into museums. We don't make cars here anymore, so should remake what we have. To anyone with the talent and enthusiasm to save these, get over there and make offers.

Some bloke in Wallandbeen, NSW has done just that:- a rusty FX shell set up in his front yard as part of his garden, presumably for passersby to admire as they zoom past. I stopped my car to get a photo, but his dawgs were so noisy that I promptly cancelled the idea and got back in my car.
The land is the lowest value land you can buy in the area given the current use of it. Scrap value is one thing but I reckon it would be a quick way to turn a $1,000,000 into $200,000. Ol' mate doesn't look like He is a millionaire, just pretending to be.

A lot of them aren't as rusty as they look.. I grew up across the road and spent a lot of time there over the years.. the rust just isn't as big an issue as other areas.. its very green now but this yard is usually very dry.. most cars aren't sitting in the dirt etc.
No way will they crush them worth more in full body's just need to advertise and sell off at a nice price not beeing greedy beeing so remote should keep prices down and save them all 🙏

yes, it did: Qld based Thiess was a construction contractor on the Snowy (bulldozing dams etc) and it 'tested' a few Cruisers on its jobs in the late 1950s. From that grew the import company Thiess Toyota
That's why that office area is full of pulled parts. He tells you to go and get what you want, you get back with the parts & He hits you with his non negotiable way over the top number. Then says put them down there if you don't like it. Been there...Done that.

@@damon0099 The return on $2.5 million if you had it in the bank at 3% is $75,000 P.A. If you had to borrow $2.5 Million to buy it, forget it. The repayments would be in the tens of thousands per month & no bank in Australia would lend on that even after anything more than a quick glance at the turnover. I'd say old mate has a figure in mind that he needs to make the move into retirement & that's what he's chasing. I see it all the time with people selling up on the south coast trying to get silly money & big city prices for their remote & small town houses so they can move back to the city for health care & because of their age & earning capacity they have no borrowing capacity so the need to sell for a dollar figure, not market value in the area they are in. That's another reason why he's selling it himself, no realestate agent would waste their time, effort & money listing it at that price as it would never sell. I did a quick count using the satellite picture on Google maps & I too highly doubt the 3000 car figure.

Yeah good question. It will be some stupid amount. You could ring and ask but i doubt he just hands out the asking price to anybody. The days of when you could buy an 80's Falcon or Holden etc for 500 or less are long long gone so i imagine everything with get cubed. He'll get scrap metal value.
I would do is organise the yard, keep the good vehicals crush the Vehicals that are too far gone, get a team together send out a sales rep to Super cheap, Repco, Rare Spares etc buy parts etc....
