I swear Bob, I love your creativity, and humor. I'm a really young minded 52 yr and I find pure joy in your video exemplars and shorts you use in your products of your video, like the intro to this video, You have fun with things and show people the fun side of what you are about to explain, demo, or teach. I wish you had a channel of nothing but you doing fun stuff with no rhyme or reason to them just you having fun. I think it would go viral, if you do, I want my 20% ;) Needless to say, love all the videos, even though i don't agree with everything all the time, and your a great dude, great video, yet again. peace. -BiG L.
He is right, most of the time I wish you do more fun things, and even sit down and go through a project from start to finish even if it is few hours, or explain a tool from start to finish, I personally have to know every function so I can focus on working with a tool
This very channel - if you go back far enough - was my attempt at that; it just being a creative dumping ground. Same with my Instagram. Never got any traction. But having said that, AI has really gelled all my interests so now I can actually do all kinds of creative things without confusing the channel. I'm playing with membership ideas, but I'm not clear what value folks would want - but maybe things like you're talking about; deeper dives, watching more of the process... I've put out a poll about doing livestreams before, but most people weren't that excited about that idea.
@@BobDoyleMedia Its like anything else, run a few more polls even, 1 a week, until you have a large enough response pool to consider strongly, better yet jump on a live, start doing something and just talk to folks as they come in talking about what your doing as you build th1e content for a coming soon video, a sneak peek live of a video to come, maybe next week maybe 5 weeks from now, but a sneak peek of it and hanging out seeing you be creative with things, finding out why you promote what you promote and prefer the workflow you share and even teach at times. Personally, I think with enough organic process, it would be a banger nonetheless, and would catch on withmany, over a couple months.
@@BobDoyleMedia I think membership or patrion is a good goal, no all people have time or know-how to search for what they need, put up some paid plans for members that can request and ask for stuff, and few free ones that others get there feet wet to know what they will get, You can even put 10 minutes of a video like usual and say I will put the full process on Patron and you will answer the question and request, even for higher paying membership they can call you once a week and you can guide them, something Like that, this way you and we can get what we want, hope that helped :)
Great overview Bob! 🤘Agreed the quality of the Minimax model can be so real, it ends the need for using stock video footage. The argument its so good and improved so rapidly, is that China is leading the way with Video AI because they are sharing and being "open source" with AI video tech. At the rate of progress this is going, folks could be creating their own TV shows at home in a couple of years :)
That film adaptation was incredibly well done, bringing back memories from the Ayahuasca ceremonies I experienced during my visits to the Amazon jungle. I feel you, brother. Even though it's been nearly a decade, I still can't be entirely sure that I'm not still within the ceremony, wondering if, upon my departure from this life, I’ll awaken to find myself back in the ritual, with the shaman placing his hand on my shoulder to help me reconcile what just happened, assuring me that everything is as it should be.
Great work - got me thinking of all kinds of projects. Though I will need a subscription after being so impressed with what Minimax can already help me produce. The pro mode at $94 a month might be ok for a production company but for us mere mortals I think the $10 a month would be manageable. I will hold off a bit as they are supposedly working on an annual "standard" rate which will presumably work out to be less than $10 a month they charge and I'm pretty sure this could keep me busy for more than a year.
Excellent trailer, Bob!!! I 100% agree that MiniMax is one of the best at what it does, and last week I subscribed their Unlimited Monthly Plan and unsubscribed from Runway (for now), since I use MiniMax every day for my short films. Thanks again, my Friend. Big Respects. Carlos
This is the closest flow you can get to a "Video LoRA" :) LTX studio might be worth revisiting now they've added lip sync (before everything was a voice over), at least for generating pre-production walk throughs. Despite all the advances in AI, it's still extremely time consuming to put together even the shortest movie. If I had the time and budget I'd combine Minimax, 11labs and Flux API's into a single workflow. Potentially you could program and entire movie from a script that included dialog and prompts and let the computer do the heavy lifting. On second thoughts, currently it would have to be Kling, purely for the lip synching capability... Thanks so much Bob, your experiments are so inspiring and save me so much time.
I think if I could do mix of all Ai, I will make it open source, there are amazing minds out there that do so much out of love and the digital artistry for free for all to use, I wish I could support them all, the more amazing open source we have the more corporations have to step up and make it cheaper, it is a win win, so please, even for few dollars a month, support the open source community
@@fulldivemedia if I ever get around to building such a tool, I'll let you know! It's fantastic that there is so much open source in the AI community, and I use it wherever possible. Unless you use Runway, then a server farm is cheaper! :)
I like Minimax, but I've been using it side by side to create image to video for a music video and Kling is EASILY giving me better results. So much better that I won't be messing around with Minimax much anymore until they update again.
They're both really good, to be sure. Right now, something about the style coming from Minimax appeals to my sensibilities just a bit more? But not by much. I love Kling's output too.
Yeah, I'm somewhat disappointed in Minimax/Hailou right now. The motions and realism is stunning, but there is always something distorted. Even (or especially) with image to video.
Runway is only 720p on Gen3, what is the output size/quality with Minimax's image to video? Seems to only be 720p also correct? Recommended upscaler not named capcut or topaz? I seem to be getting better quality results in detail and sharpness with Runway so far

My biggest concern with MiniMax is that it isn't ethically trained.
