Great video! Thanks! As R3 R Storm owner, 0-100 test could have been 1) make sure you have premium fuel in tank, set to Sport mode (traction control on, but some slip) lean forward, tuck head down to bars, hold bars tight, squeeze gas tank tight with inner thighs, 2) At stop rev to 3,000 or so rpm 3) release clutch and immediate full throttle 4) go right to redline 5) shift to 2nd 6) done 0-60 in 2.5 second range.
@BarryMDHo cheers mate ! Yeah it's Definitely harder and more daunting not being used to the bike yet and also if something goes wrong I have to replace it and decant afford it haha ! So i do need to not go as hard as id like. Google told me the world record for this bike is 2.73 which is bloody fast. Tell them you beat it !!!! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
You can get closer to 2 seconds if you go past redline. Peak tq at 4000rpm and peak HP at 7200rpm. You can get to 70mph in first gear and around 90mph in 2nd, I have on my GT. Shift at 7300pm. it cuts out at around 7500rpm.
Your critiques: Spot on. It gets hot hot when sitting in traffic. My right leg and foot get super hot. On the highway it's not an issue cuz the wind blows the heat away. The seat gets hot too, even on the highway. I use 3 fingers for clutch and brake and I grab the grip on the inside. The gas cap is jankie. It works ok, but it needs to be better. The turn signals: I think they are on a timer and the time is too short. I have to hit the signal again sometimes to keep it on if I have to wait a long time to turn. My harley had auto cancel, but they worked great and were not time based. I hadn't thought about the steering lock. It wants to go: yes. It LITERALLY idles in first at 12mph and it has the torque to keep going without any throttle. Good reveiw. Even with the negatives, I ride every day and I am super satified with my bike.
Cheers mate, glad I nailed the review! Good to hear someone else perspective aswell, especially from someone who owns one. Absolutely loved it aswell even with the negatives but I didn't see them as too major. Thanks for watching 🤙
The best bike I've ever owned of the 30 I have owned! The turn signal can be adjusted to be fully manual through the settings! You should have researched it a bit more.
Definitely a unique bike that's for sure mate. I was informed that, pretty cool you can do that ! But still as I said in the video personally shouldn't have it at all... each to their own though. I did say in the video a couple of times I've probably missed things but I'm not perfect I always will miss things. Sorry about that mate... Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
My '22 Speed Triple has a setting for auto cancel on, or off. It also has the feature where it will give 3 flashes or hold the switch for a second and it will stay on, until it self-cancels. There is also a sweet spot on the bike to hold the fob if the fob battery is dead. I usually quick-start it and am down the street and that SLOW ass TFT is still booting up.

A good review overall. I got my new 2023 GT this summer after 12 years on 2 Rocket 3 tourings as well as other bikes. 77 years old and I love the bike. It just absolutely does everything well with goobs of performance. It just glides down the road is the best way to describe it. You'll never truely appreciate it until you own one. Triumph hit this bike out of the park on what they did with it. I never notice the heat from the 3 exhausts, you can turn off the automatic blinker shut off in the settings. My only complaint is... they restricted the maximum RPM's in 6th gear. Maybe because of the speed rating of the tires. Never declaw an animal...and it is!
Wow that's bloody awesome mate, thanks for the feedback. I'd definitely learn alot more about the bike if I owned one or was able to ride it for a few days. In the short time I was on it the bike felt insane !!! The power is next level and the bike feels like it owns the road ! Oh wow there you go... I learn something new every day. Abit of a shame they restricted it. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great looking bike. It certainly looked rapid through the twisties. Good review. I watched it twice back-to-back. Cheers. I wouldn't own one - too much power - too much insurance - too much tyres. And I'm a wimp nowadays!

Hey Matt, if you get one of those, you'll have to get a Tee Shirt "FREEMATT" LOL How good is the motorcycle industry, there's a bike tailored for any individual taste and requirement. It's actually weird riding other bikes after you've done the Harley's for a while. Harley's are so raw and are like a hot rod on 2 wheels compared to the really refined stuff from Japan and Europe.. anyway, love your vids bro, safe travels mate look forward to the next one. Cheers bro.. 👊😎👊
Hahaha felt very free riding the rocket. Catch me if you can 🤣🤣 that's the beauty of the motorcycle world, So many options. Haha very true! Appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Cheers mate really appreciate that. I should try and find some even better scenery for you then mate, like my travel vlogs haha. The desert !? Where are you from mate ?
I got my deposit down in Nov 2003. Did 32K miles, as someone weighing 120 Kg plus it was the perfect option. Personally if I was buying a new one, I would get the shorter pegs and higher ride hight. The bugger always wanted to turn, but I kept on grounding the pipes.
That's awesome mate, thanks for the feedback. Definitely a cool and unique bike that's for sure. Haha I didn't expect to hit the peg... when I did I was abit confused 😅 so I agree with going higher for sure. I guess it's still a cruiser haha but it handled like a sporty. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley I bought mine from Flitwick motorcycles. They had a close relationship with Triumph at the time and were having the pre production bikes in daily. According to the engineers they used sports bike dimensions scaled up. Hence the great handling, The dry sump, helping to keep the centre of gravity low. Yep they pegs and joy bubbles were service items.
@BeanieBoyMoto how good, an absolute weapon isn't it mate. Yeah I've been a few times when I was abit younger just haven't filmed it, untill this week 😉
@@Gnarly_HarleyI had an 80 model cb900 custom stripped of it's fairing into a naked bike. It had the driveshaft and reacted as you described on throttle. Was a nice old bike, had the hi/low shifter on it. Didn't go very fast but was a nice cruiser. Brings back memories😂
I think if I was to own a Rocket 3 it would be bad news for me on speeding tickets lol. Love to test rider one though. I so enjoyed that slide test haha. Might have to do another one, just faster & longer haha I just need some new motorcycle boots. Keep up the great vlogs!!
Hahaha another reason I forgot to mention... I wouldn't have a lisence within the first week 🤣 Lol I think you enjoyed the slide test abit too much mate 🤣🤣 cheers mate and thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Yeah true that would be cool, I think the engine on them looks ridiculous. Weird isn't it... can get them from 15-20k !! Bloody bargain unless they are lemons ?
@@Gnarly_HarleyTo be fair it's too much bike for me too, I'd kill myself with that much power on the roads - still, it's a stunning motorcycle that's for sure !!
Gnarly, or anyone else, if you had your choice between the Rocket 3R/GT and the suzuki hayabusa which one would you choose as your daily rider and everyday riding bike? Also, Gnarly, when you rode that bike what was the maximum speedometer number that you saw on the bike?
Sorry mate I didn't realise I didn't reply ! My old boys has had 3 hayabusas I might have to get him to ride the trumpy. But as it being a sport bike and the Triumph more of a cruiser I'd say it would Definitely be more comfortable for bigger kms. The gt model has the forward controls too. Also I cannot comment on the last part 😂 Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley Gnarly, the only thing I would be afraid of is always scraping the pegs on the 3R model when turning corners. If there was a way to raise the pegs an inch that would probably solve that issue...
@markettradinggenius that's a fair point I have seen people commenting that was a common issue. Probably have to get abit higher suspension to fix the issue unfortunately. Dad really loves the hayabusas!!
@@Gnarly_Harley I didn't think about the higher suspension. Now that you said it, the suspension could be raised 1" - 2" and that would do the trick !!
The Rocket is made of proper chinesium. Wait till you get tarnishes on all the brushed alloy. And even on the ABS-ring, EVERY SINGLE steel screw and the cap for the swingarm cover/screw. That really pisses me off on such an expensive bike. However, the Rocket 3 is the greatest MOTORcycle ever created. I love mine dearly, it steals the heart of every biker and every (biker)chick out there. Even the cagers admire it and some almost fall out of their car looking. Living in Switzerland, riding passes is so much fun, usually I get sport- and nakedbike riders to waive me past them. My "cobra" is usually worn down to the last centimeter after a week or two of installing a new tyre. That's where the hard limits of the bike sets in. Although I've met a guy whose footpegs are worn to half the length and he's on the second or already third exhaust with 100k's on his TFC, everyone's hard limits may be different. I've sold my 2021 R1 for a Rocket. I'll be 50 this year, and I'm a much happier person now. Once you rode a Rocket, I promise you will never forget it. About to do some mods and hoping to get about 185Hp on the wheel from it. It spoiled every other motorcycle for me.
I was shocked when I see the corrosion on alot of the parts on a demo bike with minimal kms on it... buy as you said bloody amazing bike apart from that. Wow mate that's a huge testimate selling the r1 for a rocket. Triumph definitely nailed it with this one didn't they. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Just a tip about the corrosion. Mine is been outside for most of the time. I have not seen any corrosion yet. I'd ask my dealer , he said to steer clear of aggressive soaps. The place I goto clean my bike has soaps that are aluminum friendly , this prevents those spots. If you use soaps with are more acidic then can tarnish the brushes aluminium and steel bolts.
I'm trying to slow down on my home theatre ATMOS upgrade project. 11 all new Klispch speakers and 4 subs. I'm trying to put it on the back burner for now and forget about it. $$$$ that I don't 'need' to spend. What do I see over your shoulder while sitting on the bike in the parking lot? A great big D E N O N sign - that is the final step.
I goal some day is to have a home theatre as I really love watching movies ! 😅 that is true, I imagine it's very expensive. I'm trying to hold off on buying new suspension as I don't technically need it just really want it 🤣 everything wants our $$$ The final step !? Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I could hear you clearly, until you put your helmet on. The volume dropped at least 50% I always wanted a BSA Rocket lll What is the lean angle? I think it would look better with a fairing like the Speed Triple
Yeah sorry about that mate. Every mic I've tried is crap ! 2 more have just arrived to try... hopefully one of these are decent. I couldn't seem to find the lean angle on the Triumph website unfortunately. It actually would haha good call on that. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I have read that mate and a few people have also told me the same thing. But 😅 I still think it's a useless feature (in my opinion) and should be left up to the rider. But we'll done to them for having it so you can change it to manual or auto. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙

Great looking bike , how is that Goldwing Test ride Going ?
Haha mate it's actually hard to find one noone around here stocks them ! I'll still keep asking around. Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
Don’t know if I’d ever wanna buy one, but I’d love to try one.
Yeah I'm in the same boat, it's so so much fun though. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great vlog
Cheers Darren, bloody cool bike to ride that's for sure. I think I need to shorten my reviews they seem to be getting longer ? Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
It's a great ride good video start riding on the back wheel Gnarly
Thanks heaps mate, really appreciate it. Would love to learn ! Maybe I should hit up farrows to teach me 😅🤣
Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I really like that bike
It's bloody cool mate, definitely unique that's for sure ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Hey Matt, if you get one of those, you'll have to get a Tee Shirt "FREEMATT" LOL
How good is the motorcycle industry, there's a bike tailored for any individual taste and requirement.
Its definitely a muscle bike as you said holy demon as it is very much like the Dodge Demon of motorcycles
Hahaha true that mate, an absolute bloody animal that's for sure. Thanks for watching 🤙
Another excellent review, BTW. The scenery really adds to the experience for this desert rat.
Cheers mate really appreciate that. I should try and find some even better scenery for you then mate, like my travel vlogs haha. The desert !? Where are you from mate ?
@@Gnarly_Harley Lake Havasu City, Arizona
@andrewfrancis3591 that's bloody awesome, good to know thanks for sharing
Comment dropped 🫳
Cheers mate, you bloody legend. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Love the rocket 3 i remember it dethroned the vmax
Ahhh that's right I seen a vmax at bike night and I read that they were the best in their time
Gotta love the Rocket Matt ... Have you checked out Gardners Falls @ Maleny yet mate?
@BeanieBoyMoto how good, an absolute weapon isn't it mate. Yeah I've been a few times when I was abit younger just haven't filmed it, untill this week 😉
@@Gnarly_Harley Can't Wait mate!! 👍
@@BeanieBoyMoto should be up at 5
@@Gnarly_Harley I'll be the first to comment brother 👍😁🤙
@@BeanieBoyMoto cheers mate
I like it, would like to test ride one
Definitely go jump on one !!! You'll have a ball haha. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I wouldn't have a lisence within the first week 🤣
Lol I think you enjoyed the slide test abit too much mate 🤣🤣 cheers mate and thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Heat❗
Yeah it did get abit hot on the legs when I was stopped. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
BMW R18 cruisers review would be interesting and why are they so cheap 2nd hand?
Yeah true that would be cool, I think the engine on them looks ridiculous. Weird isn't it... can get them from 15-20k !! Bloody bargain unless they are lemons ?
Love this Gnarly Harley channel. Would you take it over the Fat Bob ?
Thanks mate, hmmm I don't think so I love my bike too much haha. I've got an emotional attachment to it now.
Imagine this Bike!
Bloody weapon!!! Some serious horses that's for sure. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Mate, its even got part of the Aussie flag on its tank, its meant to be yours!! 😉
Hahaha yeah idk about that mate !!! Too much bike for me 😉 or maybe it's just the price tag lol. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Also I cannot comment on the last part 😂
Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley Gnarly, the only thing I would be afraid of is always scraping the pegs on the 3R model when turning corners. If there was a way to raise the pegs an inch that would probably solve that issue...
@markettradinggenius that's a fair point I have seen people commenting that was a common issue. Probably have to get abit higher suspension to fix the issue unfortunately. Dad really loves the hayabusas!!
@@Gnarly_Harley I didn't think about the higher suspension. Now that you said it, the suspension could be raised 1" - 2" and that would do the trick !!
next bike, Boss Hoss 😃
Such a bloody animal !!!! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Just found your channel.. awesome review! Wish I could afford one tho'.. 😥
Cheers mate I appreciate that. I know right... bloody new bikes are so damn expensive. I do love my old girl though. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Love it
Great machine !!! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
What's the 1-100 km time.?
Hey mate, personally I got 3.19 it's in the video at around 18 minutes 🤙 thanks for watching
Someone i know just bought one, said there leg was on fire because of the pipes
Oh wow... yeah I didn't even stop for long and noticed I started cooking!!! Hmmm that's not fun. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley nope it's not
The Boss Hosss 502 has that beat with both legs on fire. An 8.2L engine heats up nice in Texas. Had 2 of them.
@@davewilkirson2320 I can imagine
I'm trying to slow down on my home theatre ATMOS upgrade project. 11 all new Klispch speakers and 4 subs. I'm trying to put it on the back burner for now and forget about it. $$$$ that I don't 'need' to spend.
What do I see over your shoulder while sitting on the bike in the parking lot?
A great big D E N O N sign - that is the final step.
I goal some day is to have a home theatre as I really love watching movies ! 😅 that is true, I imagine it's very expensive. I'm trying to hold off on buying new suspension as I don't technically need it just really want it 🤣 everything wants our $$$
The final step !?
Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I could imagine how much more it would cost in OZ, if it's like bikes.
@SmittyAZ yeah it sucks mate.
@@Gnarly_Harley The final step is a Denon receiver.
I could hear you clearly, until you put your helmet on. The volume dropped at least 50%
I always wanted a BSA Rocket lll
What is the lean angle? I think it would look better with a fairing like the Speed Triple
Yeah sorry about that mate. Every mic I've tried is crap ! 2 more have just arrived to try... hopefully one of these are decent. I couldn't seem to find the lean angle on the Triumph website unfortunately. It actually would haha good call on that. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Gnarly I see that joint is an Aprila dealer try out a Tonaro RSV4 cheers
Duuuude that would be a bloody wild bike, I'll see how I go ! Maybe one day. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
You can turn off the auto off indicators in the menu.
I have read that mate and a few people have also told me the same thing. But 😅 I still think it's a useless feature (in my opinion) and should be left up to the rider. But we'll done to them for having it so you can change it to manual or auto. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
That bike would likely stand up rather than break loose as the rear tire looks like it should be on a Corvette
Haha well that traction light came on heaps so who knows. Definitely looks like a car tyre doesn't it 🤣
he used to work with me
Who did !? 😅
Mate I knew you would love it 😊 they have an older 2.3 ltr rocket 3 touring at that dealers be good to see what you think in comparison as I'll be looking at that one myself when I get over there bud , 👍
Haha cheers for the recommendation! Bloody wild bike that's for sure. Very unique I'd say. I did see that sitting there actually thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Hay mate do a meet and greet tomorrow morning at Sunshine Coast have come from Sa be cool to catch up with you I will bring the stake and kidney pie
I'll be heading out to blackbutt tomorrow sorry mate, I'll be at the father's day event I believe and also the bike night next month if you're still around ! Hahaha do not bring a steak and kidney pie please 🤣 thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙

Super charged Rocket 3
340 BHP
That's bloody crazy !!! Can't even use that power 😅🤣 maybe bragging rights ?
I love my Rocket, on my steak. That’s about all I get.
Wait what !?!?!?! 😅🤣
Nice bike but $40k 😮
Yeah abit bloody pricey isn't it !!! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley in Texas, USA the Rocket 3 runs about $24K new. I purchased mine sightly used for $16K. However, there are not many dealers in my area. Plano, Texas has European Cycles and I purchased my Rocket on consignment. Does not have a scratch on it.
It’s actually restricted to only give just over 60% of power it has 😬😬😬
What !?!?! I swear someone else told me that but I couldn't find the proof. That's good to know wow !!! What an animal.
Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
That is only true in the first 2 gears. Otherwise the TC would be working overtime.
@Gnarly_Harley it's partyl true :)
It's only capt in the first 2 or 3 gears.
You saw how fast the TC wakes up, imagine having all the power all the time. The TC would be working overtime.
@EleaRevils oh wow cheers mate. Totally makes sense now looking back on it. The tech in them is super smart the power delivery was as smooth as butter
Another potential replacement for my Harley......
