This provided alot of clarity as I have struggled with whether we women can or not. If a woman could minister to God - face to face - what an understanding!
I was always told I could give my testimony but couldn’t preach. I would chuckle because if I give my testimony I’m going to be preaching and proclaiming Christ and what he has done. Needless to say I surrendered to the call to preach, prophecy & evangelize and walk in it knowing fully who I am in Christ. Don’t get wrong, I have to do holy hard often, but GOD 🙌🏼
Every single person who proclaims Christ is commanded to evangelize. Only men are permitted to preach. Don't twist the commandment to evangelize with preaching, they are different.
Hm. I am for women in ministry but what I wanted to learn from this podcast was how we can explain/understand Paul when he said women is to silent in the church, cannot teach over men, etc. Because that IS a Bible verse, I wanted to know how I can better understand it, but those details were not talked about in much detail here… So I’m still lost.
@@romanstwelveonentwo Pastor Landon briefly touched upon it but didn’t delve into details in my opinion, not to the extent that I could come to understand, agree and be on the same page as the three of them are. Other than pastor Landon’s brief mention of the Bible verse, the rest of the podcast sounded mostly like their thoughts based on experiences and emotional responses
The context of that passage is: inside the synagogue, as with the homes, the space itself did not provide for asking questions or essentially speaking over the teacher. Those things ought to take place outside of those buildings. Again, in those days, most common people were illiterate; additionally, there would have been much confusion over understanding this new thing we call “Christianity”. I hope this helps to clarify some.
Yeah. I also wanted more on that. If a woman is to have authority over a man, then I wish they could help me understand. I think we have seen enough of " a woman can do anything a man can do" in our culture. Feminists have had a field day. Anytime a woman makes more money than a man, the marriage struggles... ok 90% - much of the time. I never could see why a woman had to be completely silent in church. Because they obviously have just as valuable a thing to contribute as a man does. And if woman can rule over man in the church should the woman rule over their husbands? This video kind of left me more confused then before I started watching.
As much as an Israelite wished to be a priest, unless he was of the tribe of Levi he was forbidden. God has different roles for men and women and it has nothing to do with one's value or worth. We live in a culture saturated with feminism! The church is no different. This discussion is an example. Doesn't mean all their doctrine is wrong or they're not Christians but on this topic they're confused
@@taylorhauhio2137 why would God go to all the trouble of setting up a priesthood only to abolish it? Does God change His mind, because that would violate scripture. In Him the is no shadow of turning....??
This is so needed in our culture! I recently done a Bible study called Jesus and Women by Kristi Mcullen and it has changed my perspective on scriptures and women of the day and How the Lord Loved women bringing them from an Honor-Shame Culture restoring them from the beginning.
This isn't just something "religious" Christians came up with. This is something the church believed for almost 1900 years, even after the reformation, until feminism started rolling around. Am i supposed to believe thay for 1900 years the church, who has the spirit of truth always guiding it, never thought about what it thinks about women? What about all these crazy videos i keep seeing of female "priest/pastors" saying "sparkle creeds"? Why is it that God set up a priesthood that was a specific gender? Christ could have made this very clear and even one of the 12 apostles could have been a woman. They were all men. Why do we modern Christians think we are the smartest people to ever live. If i find myself in conflict with the apostle paul I need to take a step back.

That is a cultural directive from the leader of that church. He is addressing and cleaning up problems that were rising up in that or those churches. Women were uneducated and in some instances you had women with shaved heads bc they were coming from temple prostitution. It was definitely not a commandment from the Lord to everyone everywhere. Next time someone tells you women can’t preach ask them if their wife wears jewelry. If one still applies then both do bc they’re side by side in Timothy maybe.
“But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.” 1 Timothy 2:12-13 Verse 13 is usually left out. It goes to the beginning, it’s the order God has called it to be. In the home and obviously in the church as well.

What about the scriptures where Paul tells slaves to obey their masters ? Either there is a disconnect between Paul’s words and Gods words, or we are misinterpreting Paul’s words based on lack of information in regard to the whole conversation, which was a dialogue between two parties, however we only have account of one side of the dialogue. Thank You for this amaizing conversation. In Poland/Europe we still have a big problem with woman in ministry. The religious spirit is very active in our nation.
There is a large and growing body of literature in the area of biblical scholarship on this very topic, and the evidence is demonstrating that Paul never advised against women leading, teaching, and preaching in the body of Christ, and did not silence women in the corporate church setting. Nor is the concept taught anywhere in the Hebrew Bible. At this point in history, the church has to be either unknowingly ignorant or willfully ignorant to continue to hold to the teachings against women in ministry. Sadly, its a damaging and false teaching that has been propogated through the church for centuries😕
@lovedbytwolittles7358 There are good explanations for what Peter meant but require more in-depth discussion than is suitable for this comment section. If you are genuinely interested in the topic, I recommend the book "Tell Her Story" written by Bible scholar Nijay Gupta. He does a great job of explaining the historical context of women in the early church and the Greco-Roman household codes.
@chrisnewberry6691 There is no need to be sarcastic. It is certainly not that modern Christians have things "figured out" that the early church didn't. It's that the understanding of how the early church viewed women's roles in church ministry has been lost in translation through the centuries. Bible scholars who have dedicated their lives to understanding the historical-cultural context, archeology, languages, and worldviews of the writers, original audiences, and hearers of the Bible, are beginning to compile a significant and growing body of evidence that demonstrates the Bible does not prohibit women from being pastors or spiritual leaders. In light of the evidence, I believe the teaching against women taking on these roles in the church is a false teaching and in opposition to God's word. The often hostile and violent reaction that comes from people who oppose women in spiritual leadership within the church, does lead one to pause and consider why. In my opinion, the Adversary hates women, and this is a tactic to silence the daughters of God.

First, there is a difference between teaching and preaching. Second, there is obviously the influence of feminism on these speakers, which we have all been duped by to one degree or another. Just because many women are on the internet and have large following does not make it right. You are confusing a lot of biblical issues in this discussion. God has called men to lead. That is the biblical principle to follow. That is God's hierarchy of authority. This is more American Christianity through the lens of feminism. Lisa is an awesome example and teacher of biblical principles but she's off on this topic.
@MissHorton007- Hello! In response to your question to society being in decline, and this being the only time God called a woman as a judge and leader over Israel. Because Deborah seems like an anomaly, we attribute God responding to a circumstantial case of depravity where there were absolutely no men to rise to the occasion. With this line of thought it’s important we remember some other narratives where God pursues a reluctant leader to govern His people, when no one else can be found. Moses, Exodus 4 , specifically v.13, Barak the Israelite military leader judges 4,the story of Gideon Judges 6,Saul literally hid from Samuel and God 1st Samuel 10, Jeremiah felt he was not equipped because he was young Jer 4:4-10, and the very obvious and stubborn Jonah. All of these God called during extreme depravity, and many during times where Gods people “did what was right in their own eyes”. These men were resistant and required God to move in demonstrative ways that boxed them in to respond to God whether they wanted to or not. The question is would God choose a woman simply because there’s no one else to choose from? Is God able to raise men to leadership even when they refuse to lead or are unequipped to lead properly? These stories show us that God is able to raise those whom he chooses to leadership irregardless of their depravity, their circumstances, or their resistance. What we see is God responding to Israel in a counter-cultural way that defies their laws of society and patriarchy. It is absurd to think that God is not powerful enough to raise whom he chooses to leadership especially when we read the story of God raising a valley of hopeless dead dry bones with no life in them, to a valley of a mighty army filled with Gods spirit! Ezekiel 37. What raised these bones? Gods spirit , if dry bones can be raised who among the living can avoid his call? God put Deborah in leadership because he chose her. He could have chose anyone, but chose her!
From the scriptural directives on this topic, it is clear that a woman does not have the correct authority to preach from the pulpit over men in Gods divine order of creation. However they have the authority to administer womans conventions and gatherings for ladies. If they speak out in a combined meeting with men present it should only be done under the covering of their husbands authority. This has been a spiritual safety net from deception and should not be violated even in the modern day Church. God has set these principles in his body for his covering and blessing on his ministers, not man.
Amen! This is exactly it, there is too many scriptures that go against everything they are saying in this video. They are trying to make it seem like women can’t help spread the gospel which they absolutely can! Just not in a church speaking to men. Women can definitely spread the gospel with children & other women. This is Gods order, who are we to say what his order should be!
This ministered to me SO much! Thank you!!!! As a young female leader who was told over and over again to sit back, be quiet and just submit, I’ve partnered with lies and have totally shrunk back! Thank you again for speaking to this subject in such a profound way, I felt like you were talking directly to me 😅😂 thank you! and thank you for giving practical advice! Search my heart Lord! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
They didn't even discuss this verse , anything that goes against the word of God is not of him For God is true! This is a false teaching proving we are in the end times.“Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 pray for her to actually read the scriptures and take them seriously and repent for God will judge by the heart, and James 3:1 says there will be a greater condemnation to teachers of the word!
Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God. ...the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people... In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ -excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 NASB translation
The topic of women pastors is my major disagreement with mercy culture. There are a couple of other things but this is one of them I don’t believe women need to be in the pastoral position to preach because women shouldn’t usurp authority over men. Women should submit to their husbands and male pastors. This is women desiring to fulfill the position of a man’s shoes. There are other ministries women can serve in the church outside of pastoral leadership Lisa Bevere is biblically inaccurate about Eve not committing sin in the garden. She discovered the commandment of God as much as Adam did. If you read the whole passage you see the consequences Eve got for listening to the serpent Also Adam was told not to harken unto the voice of his wife
@ so I want to be clear that it’s not a salvation issue. However, the role of women pastors is apart of decentralization. 1.)Non-Denominational churches are reactive institutions that got away from centralized Protestantism 2.) Women pastors is only 50 years old 3.) From the time of great SCHISM of 1054, there wasn’t female bishops(with the exception of one from Eastern Orthodox) that are apart of Christian history You are entitled to believe that women can be pastors. However, history has shown over time that the pulpit is made exclusively for men and not women. Women pastors is not a conservative appeal to ecclesiastical authority but rather more liberal position to give women a position of power over men
@ yes because the man is the head of the marriage and women are the following. Your woman should be able to give you her opinions and suggestions but the man makes the final decisions God punished Adam for hearking unto the voice of his wife in the garden. Yes I think the scripture you reference solidifies my argument
@@dcfal817 you wrote: God punished Adam for hearking unto the voice of his wife in the garden. God punished Adam for his sin. Men and women are spiritually equal. There is no ceremony that can change that.

Since then I didn’t realize it but I totally have been trying to “prove” my calling! I repent! Thank you again for speaking to this subject in such a profound way, I felt like you were talking directly to me 😅😂 thank you! and thank you for giving practical advice!
Search my heart Lord! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
This IS NOT a SALVATION issue. Leave her alone🎉
Amen.
They didn't even discuss this verse
, anything that goes against the word of God is not of him For God is true! This is a false teaching proving we are in the end times.“Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 pray for her to actually read the scriptures and take them seriously and repent for God will judge by the heart, and James 3:1 says there will be a greater condemnation to teachers of the word!
Here is the deception Paul said “women are not to be the teachers in the church as it should be in all of the churches of God”
If egalitarian and complementarian had a baby and the name was common sense and read the Bible! I love it! :-) Thank you so much
Show me one female Pastor in the Bible ! You can’t because it’s not Gods order. Who are we to question that
Amen!
Amen!
Deborah.
Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God.
...the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people...
In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’
-excerpt 1 Chronicles 17 verse 6 NASB translation
Does Junia count? A female apostle Paul mentions who was imprisoned with him
The topic of women pastors is my major disagreement with mercy culture. There are a couple of other things but this is one of them
I don’t believe women need to be in the pastoral position to preach because women shouldn’t usurp authority over men. Women should submit to their husbands and male pastors.
This is women desiring to fulfill the position of a man’s shoes.
There are other ministries women can serve in the church outside of pastoral leadership
Lisa Bevere is biblically inaccurate about Eve not committing sin in the garden. She discovered the commandment of God as much as Adam did. If you read the whole passage you see the consequences Eve got for listening to the serpent
Also Adam was told not to harken unto the voice of his wife
I am in absolute agreement with Gods word and mercy culture🎉
@ so I want to be clear that it’s not a salvation issue. However, the role of women pastors is apart of decentralization.
1.)Non-Denominational churches are reactive institutions that got away from centralized Protestantism
2.) Women pastors is only 50 years old
3.) From the time of great SCHISM of 1054, there wasn’t female bishops(with the exception of one from Eastern Orthodox) that are apart of Christian history
You are entitled to believe that women can be pastors. However, history has shown over time that the pulpit is made exclusively for men and not women. Women pastors is not a conservative appeal to ecclesiastical authority but rather more liberal position to give women a position of power over men
Curious where in scripture you see God commanding Adam not to listen to his wife? Are you referring to genesis 3:17?
@ yes because the man is the head of the marriage and women are the following. Your woman should be able to give you her opinions and suggestions but the man makes the final decisions
God punished Adam for hearking unto the voice of his wife in the garden. Yes I think the scripture you reference solidifies my argument

you wrote:
God punished Adam for hearking unto the voice of his wife in the garden.
God punished Adam for his sin.
Men and women are spiritually equal. There is no ceremony
that can change that.
What would I say to these women??? Sit down and go read your Bible
1st Corinthians 2:12-13
1st Corinthians 14:34
Amen
"What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words." 1st Corinthians 2:12-13
I don't want to hear a man preach. I don't want to hear a woman preach. I want to hear the Holy Spirit preach whether it's through a man or a woman that God has the authority to call into ministry.
@ the pulpit is exclusively for men only. Women pastors are abominable
Did you actually listen to the whole podcast? They address this Scripture and more!
@@josiahlojovich4706of course they talked about the scripture but rationalized away the clear teaching of the text. The clear teaching of the text is the men hold teaching authority in his church and that authority is not given to women to be exercised over men
I can’t imagine how many young women’s dreams have been killed/aborted due to the influence of former pastors, eldership boards, spiritual parents, and even biological parents that used illogical conclusions that created dictatorship/censorship for millions of women across the millennia on gender alone❤️🩹 open the floodgates of heaven Lord🎖️. Likewise, I can’t imagine the pain that so many men that have empowered women, we’re accused by other men as being Ahabs or even worse…. Effeminate for empowering and championing women or hen pecked. It takes a very strong, secure man to leave women alone and empower them. 🫡 🎖️🏆 it’s the character not the gender…. That was my take away.
