@@candiceannette8146 Her voice doesn't have a long range but it's unique and with her own characteristics which we all identify at the first verses of each song. I used to think also that it was mainly her attitude but started to hear people listening to her and most saying (young people who didn't know her) that she has a singular voice , so it's about attitude + voice tone. Love her so much ❤

Both the drummer (the great Omar Hakim plays drums here) and bass player are professional session musicians. You can't get better players than this. Madonna was wise to get them for this t.v. appearance
Incredible performance and didn't take 50 dancers and five thousand lights just her her song and her and her magnetism.
I wish people would stop using this damn insult against her. She has done stripped down performances and elaborate production numbers consistently, and on each tour, almost since day one.
It's kind of hard to believe that this is 28 years ago... I'll never forget watching this and wishing sooo hard that I could one day see her live... Since then - I have seen 13 tour performances... I feel genuinely blessed!

I realize I’m amongst Madge fans here and I appreciate ya, but the stars of this clip, both visually and sonically, are the late Victor Bailey on bass and Omar Hakim on drums. They take what could have been a routine dance-pop cover and turn it into something nearly Pee-Funky.

For the ones who think Madonna haven't got a good voice....You have to know that during her tours in 80 years she used her voice almost everyday because of many shows and Nobody in the staff told her that she had to cure her voice and stop singing between one show and another. She stressed her voice so much. Today is different because there are methods to exercise voice ... the artist stops during tour....Today there are teachers of voice, it is easy to judge. However she is the Queen of the pop... and shut up!

But on the other hand, she can’t no longer sing without the aid of vocoder/autotune. Such a shame. Guess that she won’t make another album or tour anymore. She is very busy flashing her decadent and deformed (plus ultra filtered )ass on Instagram. A horrible way to end a sublime career.
