So glad I’ve found your channel. Just bought my machine and you make it do much less scary with your great well explained tutorials. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. x
This is my new "Go To" stamp set for giving people a great laugh. I will not get rid of This Little Piggy but I'm happy with these goats. Thanks for watching.
I can see where it would benefit you to take a 6X6 piece of mylar and cut out each stamp at the exact size of the stamp dimensions, then do one at .04 and finally at .08 Then you can have an exact mask if you want to paint a background. Then when you save it, you can go and cut several and then stamp whenever you need more.
Yes Karla, in this tutorial, I showed how I create a rounded square around my stencils. It keeps you from getting scratched or cut on the edges. Using a whole sheet of Mylar has the extra benefit of being heavy so it doesn't slip. It all is just a matter of personal preference and using the materials you have. As I like to say - Use the RIGHT tool for the job. I like your idea of coloring shadows. ua-cam.com/video/0ZgDeCnnCgA/v-deo.html
Hi Lisa, thanks for watching. If you have an old model, you may want to check out the SDX models dure to the Autoblade. This is one that is not too expensive and has loads of features. I like my CM better but this is what I upgraded to and I love how it is quiet and cuts thicker materials. Brother ScanNCut SDX125E: amzn.to/30fojAU
Thanks so much for this. My 350e just arrived today and I was so frustrated with trying to get a clean outline only image! Of course, the goats were probably not the next stamps to use my first time out. Anyway, I had a problem with one of 8 goats - I deleted the inside bits (I couldn't figure out where I might have left an open space in the outline) and said okay, the screen looked fine, but when I cut them, the SNC did cut the bits I had trashed, anyway. If we stamp, correct the outline, and scan just one of each goat, for example like you did, and get good images for cutting, can we just select each image on the screen and duplicate it to get more good cuts and then stamp after the fact with the Stamparatus? Not sure I'm articulating this well. ;-) Would our vellum card stock make good stencils and be a little thinner than mylar?
Welcome to the ScanNCut World. I have lots of courses on using your model of machine. YES, of course I understand what you are asking about the goats. In this video, I die cut the shapes and then used my Stamparatus but the concept was the same. Still, I think you are better off using my pencil trick, cutting the goats and erasing the marks unless you have a TON like I did in this video. ua-cam.com/video/E8GgxigEgGg/v-deo.html Vellum doesn't work as well as acetate and you have to fight with it because it doesn't give as clean of a cut or as clean of a scan. I prefer die cutting vellum which works great.
Hi! was hoping to find out where you got your foam roller? I have brayers but when I google cannot seem to find the foam roller? Love your videos. My Scan and Cut arrived this week and have not opened yet. Thanks so much
Jenee, I sell those at my Stampin' Up! store. I have so many of these so that I don't need to wash them a lot. Each package comes with 2 handles and 4 sponge rollers. I absolutely LOVE these. Sponge Brayers [141714] -- bit.ly/32VfiOo
@@jeneewesterfeld5714 No, you have to keep getting another set with more handles but you will be happy because you can label each handle with the color you are using.
I watch all your videos and have learned so much. I need to ask when you cut the image of a goat you added .04 outline which I understand but you said when you cut the Mylar you said don't add outline, the image would not fit in that hole because it is bigger. Also the stamp set Prized Peony it has dies for that flower and has several dies to put together for the Print. How can I cut a whole page if each part to that flower if there is only dies and not a stamp? Thanks for all your great information.
Judy, I was using the Mylar stencil as a stamping mask which is why I didn’t use an outline distance. Here is a video to get you started on scanning dies. You would need to multiple them and not resize them but this should give you an idea. There are so many approaches to what you want to do. ua-cam.com/video/eK0NxZxRjYc/v-deo.html
@@PaperedChef thanks for info on the Mylar. Have you seen the Print stamp and dies? The Peony has 4-5 pieces to make flower will have to watch your video as I am confused. Thanks
Thanks! I have been giving hand sanitizers as gifts for many years now. I had them before this crisis started and then found more as stores all around me started stocking them. There is usually a limit of 1 or 2 but I get them each time I see the cute little ones. You can purchase them online too. They are just marking up the prices due to the world. amzn.to/37JlN7L
Adorable! I like that Goat theme (Greatest Of All Time), will have to use it with my grandson. He'd get a kick out of it.☺️ I might have to use the simple goat from CM 150 SnC zodiac symbols to pull that one off.😏 (I dont have any stamps with cute goats.)
I just wanted to let you know that you can go to amazon.co.uk and set up an account and then do an affiliate link there. Then you can have a link to the items if they are in the UK and you get the pennies for referral. Then you can show a link for U.S. and one for U.K.
Thanks so much Karla. I have been hesitant to add links to other countries. As you acknowledged, it is only pennies. For the very small amounts I get, I don’t want to be told that I have to pay taxes on the measly amount from other countries. Not ruling it out, I just want to keep the IRS off of my back and keep a low profile. I would love to research what other UA-camrs do about taxes. I’ve never made a lot but I WANT to grow so I really appreciate your support.
I know when I worked in accounts receivable, that it used to be anything under 650$ that is not reportable. It might have increased by now, but it wouldn't be less. So hope that helps some.
Yes you can Monika. I use a Deep Cut blade when cutting thick material with the CM350. Here is a tutorial on cutting Mylar with your model of ScanNCut. ua-cam.com/video/0ZgDeCnnCgA/v-deo.html
Something I've always wanted to be able to design online is a tri shutter fold card. I did find a video for the SNC, ua-cam.com/video/v0VYVrJ6uM8/v-deo.html, but I don't see one from you, but you may call it something else. This instructor stops short of saying how she cut the DSP and card base separately.
Sue, I think your comment was hidden for a while because it had a link in it. I just found it. I don't have a tutorial on that type of card. I am sure that there are SVG files on it so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. There are definitely easy dies for that type of card at The Stamp Doctor: thestampdoctor.com/?ref=4
Brenda Scott If you are referring to the In Good Taste Paper, it has 24 double-sided sheets in a pack which is why it costs more than the other types of DSP.

I was wondering how this set would cut out on the Scan N Cut ... I just KNEW you would have a video on it!! Thanks for another great tutorial.
You are so welcome! You can bet that if it is cute and whimsical, I will have a tutorial for it. Thanks for watching Sandy.
Loving these videos and with each one you do, I learn something new to do with my ScanNcut! Thank you.
Thanks Jeanette. These goats crack me up. I'm glad you keep on learning something new. Makes me happy.

How would you scan a stamp that was embossed with white embossing powder. Would the scanner read this?
