Thank you for posting this review. I hadn't heard about this 'musical' version until recently . . . the PAPER MILL PLAYHOUSE in Millburn, NJ is mounting a production of it in next year's season. I'm a 'season subscriber,' so it's one of those shows I'll attend because I've already purchased my tickets, but your review is fair warning about what I may be walking into!
