  • We're back... again! In a first Wainwright walk after the winter lockdown in April 2021, Neil visits Silver How, beside beautiful Grasmere. At 395 m (1,296 ft), Silver How is one of the smaller Wainwrights, and is a reasonably easy climb (perfect for returning to the hills after months of lockdown).
The fell offers spectacular views of Grasmere and the Fairfield Horseshoe to the north east, Helm Crag to the north, the Langdale Pikes to the west, and across to Windermere.
Even though the lockdown is easing, please continue to follow the Lake District National Park Authority guidance to Respect. Protect. Enjoy! More details can be found here: www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/countryside-code
