They changed the length of the ride for logistical reasons and so that Thomas can have more time for photos at the station. While understandable, it’s still stupid and doesn’t make it any less of a ripoff.

I still enjoy going to DOWT events to railfan them, but yeah the screaming kids and large crowds really stress me out sometimes. The only DOWT events in the USA I’m still interested in attending are ones that run StrasThom or other steam locomotives during the event (examples: TVRM, Strasburg, Tweetsie, Essex, etc). And yes, someone did stalk me. He kept following me and my mother around the station property and wouldn't stop. Ended up having a minor panic attack because of it. I kinda regret not reporting that guy to a Strasburg employee.

From what a Strasburg conductor told me, this is unfortunately how they're gonna be running Thomas for the foreseeable future.
Why did they decide to change from Paradise to Cherry Hill?
