This particular season is the coolest Charlie has ever been. He's charming (albeit abnormal), calm, funny, and socially pretty normal. He takes charge with his friends on multiple occasions. The boat, wrestling, etc. It's like he mirrored a more confident version of himself in multiple episodes. "Don't give me lines!" + patronizing voice bit. Getting fed up with Mac and Dennis, socially aware several times throughout the episode. Even knowing most calico cats are female because the male genes are recessive. Confidently leads into the wrestling episode with a logical patriotic speech. Doesn't contrast too heavily with how weird Mac and Dennis act. His character behavior about the Kitten Mittons would presumably be weirder... Like scenes of him trying to build the product. Aside from the illiteracy, the episode makes him seem like a medium-low competence entrepreneur. In all the scenes, he actually plays the straight man to Dee.
I think it's cause they are both bullied and exploited by the other 3, remember they are designated the worst jobs at the bar or whatever in whatever scheme they are up too

After I finally got him out and confined him to a new room within minutes he removed the HVAC vent and climbed in. I could tell he was coming out to eat and drink but I never saw him until I finally trapped him. He was a psycho. Luckily he was adopted and seems to be doing well in his new home.
Yesterday I took my kitten to the vet. It somehow got stuck behind a panel in my car. I had to pry the panel open to get the kitten out. Umm. Dennis was never "concerned" about others in this scene OR in this episode. I must conclude that anyone who agreed with this comment didn't watch or understand the episode. Dennis is a 100% narcissist. He wanted Charlie to watch the movie with HIM. He didn't actually care if Charlie missed the movie. That's not Dennis's nature.
So sorry for not taking the careful nuances of Always Sunny into consideration. I'm sure the production team cared so much more about Dennis' nature than about making this scene funny and enjoyable.
They care indeed for the characters natures because otherwise it wont work in the whole concept but ther was a little mistake by saying that Dennis had no feelings but the feelings are stronger in Borderline and just because you are narcisstic, you can care for others.
Afterall you do all things for yourself. If he dont want Charlie to interrupt the whole movie its good for him and if someone just want you to know the story it gives you a positive feeling too.
I love how there's a sliding reality/character level of intelligence rule to this show. It almost reminds me of the different episodes and especially seasons of the simpsons. The whole point is that you just suspend disbelief and go with the flow and have a great time
