F2P needs to have it's member skill level caps increased to say 50, so give players a better experience of what's to come in members and plan their journey. The Members game is just way too large & newbies are just lost & overwhelmed as to what to do next. As you say, membership is a ticking clock and players, especially new ones, want value.
I tried both versions OSRS and Rs3. I found OSRS is easier to get back into because it is a simpler game but I missed Rs3 and the QoL it offers more, but was having issues as a returning player with how much the game can throw at you. I think I'll try again and do a few quests to help get me back into the game that and re do my UI. Your advice for having a plan is probably the most important thing not just for RS but most MMo's
Can we get a mid / high level one of these. I am just coming back from taking a break after the new player worlds finished and am not sure what to do now
Since getting all 99s for the first time recently I am debating omln taking a break or not, but i am slowly working on 120 necromancy and going to attempt the quest cape for the hundredth time
When twitch gave free weeks, i used them to complete the p2p quests that gave me f2p qol stuff, like better ore box or dart smithing (amongst others), did you hear about the community easter egg exploit?
@@Chillifish57 For the first 2 hours of the 2nd week's community hunt, people were able to repeatedly claim the final egg, essentially giving them infinite egg points to buy the Gummy surprise egg
I've been having weird urges to get membership since returning to runescape.....then I see this video and the urge to swipe my card becomes uncontrollable
I let my 1 year mem run out, felt weird/obligated to not play runescape (FOMO) so i added 1 month mem to keep playing, but honestly RS is not it for me anymore. So much time consumed in a video game. Feel a lot better now without playing RS. First week or two were bad/weird not playing RS. But now I don't miss it. Have more time for Family, gym, social life, relationship w/Wife, cooking, work etc lmao. F this game ha
What to do after getting membership: 1: Click on the little tab at the top of the jagex launcher that says "oldschool runescape" 2: Select runelite 3: Play an actually good game without MTX Or play an ironman on rs3, the only valid way to play the game
"what to do after getting membership?" I'll put it very simply.... UNINSTALL THE GAME. Ever since they destroyed PvP game hasn't been the same. #rs3DEAD
Cancel it and play a different MMO like I did. Played for over a year and unless you specifically like pixels arranged in a 99 like fashion I don't see why you would play this over anything else. I gave it a true try did everything from bossing to minigames to questing, but why bother. Playing old school I can understand but this? Tick based combat, a lack of classes and build diversity, the constant afkness of gaining xp, the countless hours of inventory management and god awful quest chains. Yeah, I'm out.
See, while runescape does have a lot of "bad" it also does a lot of things right. The way skills intersect with each other, the drops, the "go on a 5 hours journey to get an upgrade that will save you a few seconds when you do something else" game loop all have a great appeal, at least to me. As for the questing, yes, some of them are not great (mostly the 2001-2007 era ones), but some of them are also just the best in the genre. I've been to other games, (gw2, ff xiv), and I was just bored. So yeah, you might not see the appeal, but there is an appeal
what kind of "gave it a shot" do you mean? by bossing do you mean "GWD1 or telos"? no build diversity? sounds like you tried to play all 3 styles badly and hated it because you didnt actually learn how to play... countless hours of inventory management? uhm not really you can do almost all bosses without food if your good so at most you need a few pots. yes quests are tedius for people who dont like them but guess what.. outside of maybe 5 chains... their not required to play at all... honestly i dont think you actually gave it a real chance because of your hostile outlook going in. (if you go into something hating it your not ever going to like it)
I completed most of the free to play quest's... Got mining smithing up till I couldn't mine the red rock's.. then got membership

7:20 you can use the area loot interface to loot the fragments on the floor when making the effigies

Start leveling, necromancy and work on quests. For GP bosses and slayer are the best.
thanks, i'm almost a week in on rs3. having a great time
I'm back on runescape after 4 year break. Feels good😊
Since getting all 99s for the first time recently I am debating omln taking a break or not, but i am slowly working on 120 necromancy and going to attempt the quest cape for the hundredth time
I cleared F2P quests, explored the map, and got my first 99 (rc), and then I got membership.
99 rc in f2p? mad lad
I wouldn't recommend f2p 6th Age content to new players, especially those who are currently saving up for membership.
Just came back to make another ironman char, good guide! Have fun.

What exploit
@@Chillifish57 For the first 2 hours of the 2nd week's community hunt, people were able to repeatedly claim the final egg, essentially giving them infinite egg points to buy the Gummy surprise egg
And unfortunately, Jagex is no longer working with twitch gaming, so we won't be receiving anymore free membership weeks in the forseeable future D:
what quick teleport animation are you using?
murder of crows it was in yak track in 2019 one of the better teleports imo
I've been having weird urges to get membership since returning to runescape.....then I see this video and the urge to swipe my card becomes uncontrollable
Your comment made me laugh man, thats awesome :)
What to do after getting membership? I personally would say regret your decision if you paid IRL money….
Make a ironman become member and enjoy the game!😂❤
bonds are so expensive it's crazy
After getting membership logout, remove auto renewal of the subscription and switch game

Going back to RS after 10 years
*Me watching this video after being a member for over a decade 😂*
Protooxx 😃
Most heated comment section ever
Yeah, quite wild for a tutorial

Buy mtx free exp!
Eo3 killed the game….. as someone who’s played for 15 years. It’s all pay to win now, all those hours of grinding for what?
what to do after membership: play oldschool runescape
First🎉
🥇
Your virginity is very much intact.
Necro doesn't make you "better" lmao. shts a joke
Don't forget protron. Jagex is lying to you.
You're going to say this every video aren't you hahaha
Play osrs or an mmo that's worth playing. 😂
Fix your botting issue then we can talk
@@DVCKING at least the game is popular enough that people want to bot it, lol.
Wat to do after getting membership? Cancel it.
what to do after getting membership - unsub
Jokes on everyone... they should've quit before they got mems.
Now THIS is the April Fool's video. 😂

Peak toxicity comment. Even more toxic than a cube jellyfish lol.

Get a refund.
lets be honest 90% of the playerbase is max level
false statement.
I am still wayyyy too lazy to max. I play RS3 to PvM, not to fish.
Perhaps, but there is replayability now with multicharacter support.
Oddly, I've seen a lot more returning player posts on Reddit recently
