Wedding Dress Shopping in New York City - Eveliina Vintage & Grace Loves Lace

- I've always wanted a vintage wedding dress but of course I still wanted to check out some of the local bridal boutiques around New York City and Brooklyn. I tried on so many wedding dresses until I finally found the one in an unexpected place.
My mom and I took a trip to Eveliina Vintage in Brooklyn as well as going to Grace Loves Lace in Soho. I had a really hard time choosing which dress I was going to end up with but I think I made the right decision. You'll have to wait to see how the dress comes together in the end when I finally share my wedding day in Italy!

It's so refreshing to see a non traditional dress, it is so much more tasteful! You're not alone, I will definitely be going a similar route. The dress is timeless and gorgeous.

Yeah not showing people your wedding dress is a good idea. Same advice for when people ask what you’re going to name your kid. Don’t tell them because you’ll get the same constipated faces. You have amazing style, which is why I subscribed I long time ago. You and your dress and your wedding day will be beautiful!!! ❤

And you're right about the dress showing thing. I didn't show my dress to anyone apart from my two best friends (they were supposed to be at my fitting anyway, but because of pandemic rules I could bring only my mum and my sister) and I'm so glad that I did it like that, because people are gonna shower you with unwanted advice regarding weddings as soon as you get engaged and the dress is something so personal that most people cannot really say what is or isn't right for you.

@@VeronicaViccora I got the opposite of what I thought I would have wanted - Disney princess style dress with off the shoulder straps decorated with fabric flowers and with big skirt made from multiple layers of veil-like material. And I absolutely loved them! So I guess you never know which one is right until you try them on and see how you feel in them :)
