Without a doubt, one of the most useful YT videos about the MA-40. Short, and exactly what I needed to see. Let me also say that Mike was a prince! When I asked to pick his brain for info he called me and let me benefit from his experience. Even gave me a lead to a local P.E. Thanks bunches Mike. 73 de Warren, W1WRM!
It looks like you have the MARB-40 rotator base and the MAF-40 raising fixture. Do you have to remove the MAF-40 in order to rotate the mast? it looks like the mast winch could hit the MAF-40.
Yes - I removed mine. I have seen where people remove only the top bolt and "lean" the MAF-40 back and out of the way of the raising winch. It was easy enough to remove and I think looks better with it put away.
What I would do is teach my wife or daughters to run out there to crank that thing up. They’re food motivated so the training should be fairly quick.
Especially if you withhold the food for a couple days before you need some work done.
Count three cranks; two in the foreground, one behind the camera. Haha! Good work guys!
Marcos py7mjs . Muito bom ! Brasil. Pe.
Add a counter weight pulley setup to assist ??

Give Ham Radio Outlet a call. That's where I purchased mine. I know the costs have gone up but they should have the latest on pricing
I need 3 of those. Nice!

Just curious how deep the base hole was? Be a BIG helo.
3 feet by 3 feet by 5 feet deep.
Good jobs
Is the MARB base moving from the weight when you crank up the Ma 40?
no, it is rock solid attached to the cement foundation
What's this thing going to hold, wind turbine?
HF antennas I would think.
Gun shots at 0:24
there is an outdoor shooting range in the area
You don't have it up and transmitting and the neighbors are all ready shooting at you :)
I'm considering the MA40 unit as well. Very helpful
I'm very happy with it so far. It will be 3 years this spring.
No content.
