I'm 21 years old, and due to my school commitments, I haven't had the chance to read as much as I should have. I do recognize the significance of reading in enhancing vocabulary and fluency. However, when it comes to gaining knowledge, I tend to lean towards audiobooks, especially during mundane tasks. For in-depth learning, I find UA-cam to be a valuable resource since it offers a wealth of information visually too. What are your thoughts on this approach?

I think it’s about finding what’s best for you and figuring out what your learning goals are. If a book is more complex, I like to read rather than listen. You might like the book “Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning.” It provides the best research on the most effective ways to retain information and learn. The one thing I’d recommend, no matter how you choose to consume content, is to form a writing habit. Take 10-15 minutes per day to write about what you learned; have a conversation with yourself and wrestle with the material.
