@@AudraLambert...could I ask you a question? And yes, it's real estate. Is it a liability risk to allow a contractor to review property and give repair estimates? The buyer hasn't even made an offer, just has expressed interest. Where can I go for help/ info on this?
Not even sure I want to sell. Not listed. And would really depend on $$ offered.
@@singingwindrider9881 Yes, I have a lot of people saying make me an offer...make me move. In fact I am showing 2 properties today to potential buyers off market today. Seller is requesting top dollar...take it or leave it;)
@@singingwindrider9881 Great question. I am not a real estate attorney. However, when I get a repair request that is comprehensive, I have a well respected, honest general contractor bid out the work. They will charge me for the quote and all over the quote it states ESTIMATED. There are home inspection companies that will complete their inspections and give estimated costs of repairs in the report. Not sure if that is an option where you live. As a seller, I believe you should know the cost of any repair a buyer is presenting to you. I would just be very careful who you are getting a quote from...make sure the contractor is licensed.
We got an air gap built in that is below the counter. Love it. Can’t stand those air gaps on the counter. lol.

Ah ok I thought the air gap had to be on the counter. My house didn’t have one at all and I just got one installed. Mandatory to have air gap in state of CA. I’m ok for it not to be super pretty looking 😊 as long as it functions
I was dishes by hand so I don't care about any air gap. The inspector noted that air gap thing in the dish washer I put it and there wasn't one before.
I don't have an air gap on my dishwasher. Although, I understand it does have its sanitary benefits. Good for you for washing your own dishes.
The inspector flagged the pneumatic door closer on the screen door between the house and garage. They need to consult with the homeowner. I intentionally took that of because I don't want to open 2 doors to go from the house to the garage. And there is no need for a screen door there.
Its your house. You get to do what you want with it.
Smoke detectors are worthless. They go off when cooking and I just pull them off the walls.
I hate those things when they go off...not going to lie.
Do not listen to anything this woman has to say. If her insurance company watched the his video she would probably be dropping from coverage.
More than likely if something did happen to her house, they would decline to pay her for the damage due to negligence. Those items are required for your protection. They are not just some annoyance. Much like a seatbelt or motorcycle helmet.

I won't listen to you. You are absolutely wrong about the garage entrance doors. If you want to huff CO or die from smoke inhalation from a car malfunction, please keep that crap to yourself. Those rules are there for a reason and it is because there has been loss of life.
