What time of the day is good for door knocking? Also, is it just any house or does he target expired listings? Someone give me insight please :)
Brandon, what follow up system is this guest using? Thank you. Is there the best follow up system for door knocking agents?
Show up to my house and I see a bulls eye on your face 😊

Tip: since a lot of doors you knock on won't open, leave a flyer of some sort, even better leave a letter to the seller explaining why you were at their door so you can maximize your time instead of just moving onto the next door without leaving anything. I've gotten listings from letters to sellers on doors that didn't answer! It really means you can increase your exposure with having the same amount of time invested
What kind of flyer do you leave at the door?
This is great. What do you recommend as to the contents of the letter?
@@riannar4394 I usually leave a letter to a seller explaining I have a buyer looking to make a purchase in their neighborhood (Adds value) but honestly ANYTHING is better than nothing
You gotta think about it too like what if they get annoyed by the flyer? I think another think to consider is that you would probably waste some doors that you could knock on the future and get a better response...... It's just a thought, I'm not an expert, I don't even do real estate, it's just an thought to think consider
How do you door-knock on condos in Florida? You can't even get in and if you do you'll get thrown out for soliciting.
Before I started real estate, I was a door-to-door window salesman. That experience has been instrumental in my development as a real estate agent. I'm closing on a house today from a lead I got from cold door knocking--simply asking if they had any interest in selling. It works!
Nice! Congrats
Wonderful 🙌🏼
My man, Mike! I used to work with this guy in this job!
May I know what’s the script you use at the door?
I love to see this, it really does work if you just get out and do the work 👏🏻
Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly..
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor??
wow ,that’s stirring! Do you mind connecting me to your advisor please. I desperately need one to diversified my portfolio..
Thanks for sharing, I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an e-mail shortly..
door knocking has been the hardest lead generation I've ever done. But after enough rejections, you almost get numb to it and the people that are receptive to you are usually long term relationships and they sometimes become amazing sources of referrals
This is crazy, I have been in the business for 7 years and I just started door knocking again and it’s been very positive… I’m glad I watched this video it motivated me to keep moving forward
Brilliant
I door knocking 5 days a week for 3 hours a day. Amazing relusts
Love this. I sold 75 homes my first year by door knocking and putting my head down. I know run a coaching platform with my business partner Duane Richins teaching other realtors how to do it too. Duane was Cameron’s Mentor. Great video Cameron and Brandon!
Door knocking really works! Face to face makes a huge difference in this business and I truly believe face to face is the true key to this business! You can make all the phone calls you want but at the end of the day, if an appointment is set, you still gotta face them 😁
👏👏
Face to face just adds an even better touch and has helped me 10x my business. I totally agree!
Has anyone got aggravated with you for door knocking?
@@LongIslandRealtor631 of course, but it is really rare as long as you are doing it right and being respectful
🔥🔥🔥 just got a listing yesterday from a door I knocked a year ago. This is spot on! Great interview!
Well done. The money is in the follow up 🔥
This interview is GOLD !
There’s a million winning life lessons packed in this video… love it!!
I so needed this video, especially today! Totally inspiring 🙏
Excellent episode! Thanks for posting.
I'm enjoying doing field work, house to house or door knocking, it's fun meeting new people, offering your best products and when you close the sale it's full filing. So I 100% recommend door knocking. 😊👍
It makes you want to jump up in the air with joy I fucking love it
This is so good. Great info 💯. It was relieving to know that I'm not the only one that has left money on the table for not following up on time. Cameron is a rock star! Thank you for this video 🤩
Definitely taking notes 📝 🤓.
Yes unpack it nicely…
I’m so glad I found this video!! Thanks Brandon and thank you Cameron 🙌🏻
I feel like I’m better in person This is very helpful. Thank you for all the good advice
In person really does give you an edge on your competition! Thank you!
I love it when he says totally 😍 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
This interview is gold
Thank you for the great Information
Great info. Thanks
Never thought of door knocking of something that would be efficient, but with the face to face time - it makes sense
Door knocking is the MOST effective way to prospect
@@BrandonMulrenin To be clear, would you say this is a better use of our prospecting time than calling FSBOs, Absentee owners, expired, etc?
@@justinsongnj following
Hey @@nategranata4822, I found in one of Brandon's trainings that door knocking is "by far the most EFFECTIVE way to make first contact. It's just not as efficient as other strategies."
It helps to talk to far more people due to going directly to the seller. They can’t run away because that is where they live! It’s very effective in building a massive database and business. 👏🏻
Amazing results in 2 years!
Well it makes sense, we prospect to set up appointments to meet up with the sellers, and Cameron is already there showing his face to prospect. His voice is so calming, I'm sure that helps dealing with future sellers on that matter as well! Thank you for the great video and amazing questions Brandon!
I appreciate your kind words! Anyone can do it, it just takes getting out and applying it.
Thank you for these great videos. 👍
Glad you’re getting value!
"If you don't put in the work, you're not going to make it!" ❤ Compound Effect....REALITY😓💯

What an amazing video, I watched it and listened to it a few times! I needed this!
Glad your got value!
so, a year later, did it help?
Great Video. Good Job Cameron well done.
Thank you! I appreciate it
Door to door is also a fun thing to do. When I sold the Detroit news subscriptions at 12 years old it was a very fun thing to do at that age. I highly recommend doing so. I just getting into real estate an I’m going to be doing this all over again
I sold the la times/daily news out here in la for 10+ years lol and now taking my skills in door to door in realestate!
keep at it !
I also used to sell newspaper subscriptions door to door from age 12 to 16 and I used to make so much money and the experience I gained was priceless.
This is so cool. It’s crazy how simple it can be as long as people have the grit to do it!
This was such an amazing video. I should acquire my license by July but I will definitely be applying what he taught
👏👏
Michelle! Congrats on getting licensed and best of luck in achieving your goals. Let me know if I can help!
Great video
This guy is so genuine and so much fun to watch in. I was wondering if you ever handout business card??? I love to get their info rather than wait and sit for them to call me, who knows where those cards are going anyway.
I plan to work in Oklahoma, Florida them Hawaii thank you for this video.
Hate this posted increasing the competition! 🥴 I do this and got 5 deals in 2 days!🥳
In my opinion it’s so much easier than cold calling.
That's awesome, congratulations.
What’s your script when you go to the doors ?
@@livinginhoustontexas18 Bryan Casella UA-cam is where I get my door knocking skills from.
@@LoveyB90 do you have one script of his that you use or do you wing it ? I used to watch his videos but I never saw any videos where he gave an actual script.
@@livinginhoustontexas18 yes, watched all his door knocking videos. I use a script and method he provided. Maybe the video was added after you watched him. Go back and check it out!
Thank you so much for all of this excellent content. Your relaxed demeanor is admirable and I can see why you are so successful at door knocking. I crave social interaction being since I was a bartender for 23 years. I’m new to real estate. Thank you for motivating me on the door knocking technique. Wishing you much success in the years to come 💪🏻😊🙏🏻
🙏 glad you’re getting value from the content!
You are going to do amazing with that background! Keep up the fantastic work!
Your calmness is your signature tho! I’m getting so many different messages honestly in this business? Would it be fair to say it also depends on each individual strength? I personally do not open the door for anyone! Managing your time is a big one with door knocking! The Latina in me we’ll talk forever 😂
You got this! It is based on personality but anyone can do it.
I'm 3 months in. Haven't door knocked at all yet. But I'm ready to hit it after my opens this weekend. Thank you for the video, I'm ready!
👏👏
You got this 🤘🏻
so, did it work? did you get even one sale?
Thank you
Condo door knocking would be a challenge here in Florida where you have to get by the gatehouse security who inquires who are you here to visit and then contacts the tenant who then says they're not expecting any visitors. Most condo rules prohibit solicitors. At least here in Miami.
That is a challenge in some places. I recommend finding areas where you know someone or you or an associate have sold a home before giving you an in.
Great insight! I door knock daily also. I do recommend leaving material behind as out of 50 doors knocked most likey 5 will answer. I receive calls from my material drop offs and listings👍
What material do you leave specifically?
Impressive 👏🏻 I have never got a call from dropped of material so if it’s working for you don’t change it. Well done!
What material do you leave specifically?
FANTASTIC
Hi Brandon, Do you have a video on reccomendations of books to read for real estate agents? I love your videos!
He recommended his #1 book called The Compound effect. If you can’t follow a video how are you going to follow a book?
It's great to go with a friend also.
I love your content
🙌
I’m wondering how many times Cameron said the word “totally”. 😂 ps. Great video! 👍
Lol same!
Great video. I would recommend a simple one page bio sheet, or flyer or even a business card to give them. And it never hurts to ask for their phone number / email to stay in touch from time to time.
Good point!
Everyone has their own personal style! I don’t bring anything with me just because it makes it easier to get their information while I’m right in front of them. Nothing wrong with leaving something behind though!
Cameron, if you carry nothing, how did you keep track of your leads? The names and addresses of those you visited? And how did they remember your name if you didn’t hand them a business card?
@@cameronureofficial I really want to know what you do to keep track of your leads while your out & about. You said that you don't carry anything but your phone ( no pen, paper, etc) so are you putting something in your phone? I really want to know because I want to do EXACTLY what you do! I think copying is the purest form of flattery and I can see that what you've been doing works and I want to replicate to the T what you've been doing. I truly believe it will work in my market. I am also brand new and looking for a good mentor!
Its kinda surprising how many people believe in door knocking. I don't even open the door when I'm not expecting someone.
That is why I try and just look like a neighbor when coming by. That way people don’t stereotype me as a salesman right out the gate
how many believe or how many have seen success?
good stuff
Phenomenal interview 👊
👊
Another great thing about door knocking that nobody talk about is that it's great exercise! In our local neighborhoods the driveways are on an incline so it adds to the workout. If you don't get any response it's not a waste of time. Either way you win!
dont fool yourself. no response is a loss
I’ve worked in politics for a decade, currently looking into real estate. In politics, door knocking was ALWAYS the most effective form of advertising.
My name is Tom Dees and I endorse this message.
Thank you Brandon and Cameron great content!
Question what time can you advised for door knocking ?
Any specific app to storage prospects contact of information when you are doing door knocking including follow up with text messages after the immediate meet up?
I recommend knocking in the afternoon, evening hours and I have a spreadsheet I created to keep track of leads!
client management software
200 k my first year door knocking… nobody does it, no competition.
Hey Mike, may I ask what city your in or the price range of your listings?
Great video. Does guest speaker have his own channel? Maybe I missed it multitasking while watching video. How did the realtor get contact information in his database to follow up if he didn't bring an Ipad, business card etc.?
My friend volunteers a lot and goes to a lot of get together and events and swears by that.
Fantastic interview . on the 18:02 section for the question if l sell where i am going to go for this question both of you did not give an answer , so if l sell where i am going to go ?
You have to find out if they truly want to move. Because if they want to upgrade and it makes financial sense, there is always something we can find them
Watched the video, excellent! Cemented and informed the first step of working my farm. 1. Could you give just a repeatable one or two sentence for your at-the-door intro? If not, I'll watch the video again tomorrow, perhaps I can pick it up. 2. I assume you leave your business card, nothing else? 3. Profile pic - I'm not a German general, just a role I played lol.
Great content thank you. ! Just for my own clarification on the numbers is that 200 contacts a week which yields 40 leads and 3 to 4 deals a month ?
Great podcast though. Im about to get my license in CA and will most definitely be circling back with you:) I'm assuming you coach agents in other states, correct?
Yes I do. Go to listingagentacademy.com
Congrats on getting your license👏🏻
What's good about townhomes are their close together
That's a great video. A question for Cameron, what's the most effective follow-up system he uses now? Or what CRM is the best?
I am about to drop a full break down of this next Monday! Stayed tuned for this video!
Hey, the webiste he provided is no longer. When you search it, it comes up "for sale"....any info on that Brandon?
I've come to the realization that I need an ISA any recommendations where to find a good one or at least where to start looking. Thanks
Is there any app you recommend to track the follow up results? Or Any app can be connected to CRM system, easiler for us to follow up?
Feeling inspired with this interview 👍
Is there a particular time of day that is best to doorknock? Nights and weekends only or just doorknock anytime in the day?
I recommend going in the afternoons, 2-8pm
@@cameronureofficial
Awesome 😎 thanks for the tip
How would that strategy work in today's market? This interview was when you could get a 3.5% interest rate on your loan. I feel with the interest rate climbing to 6+% changes everything. Buyers are expecting a seller credit and on top of that for the clients that he's door knocking would have to buy their new primary residence at the 6% which would heavily increase their monthly expenses. Basically what I'm asking is how have you pivot in today's market, would door knocking work currently with today's interest rates and what are you doing to get more sales? Thank you!
man I have so many questions I wish I could ask !
What's the best schedule for door knocking in regard to Monday to Sunday what time of day? Do you find everybody is out at work during the day?
I knock between 2-8pm Monday-Friday and some times Saturday for open houses!
If you knock on a door and have a little conversation, do you go back to that door and what do you say in the next interaction and when should that be?
how often do you touch the same home in a year? like is it a once a month basis or every other week kinda thing?
with the current interest rate in the market, how do we manuever it? B/C most people are worried about interest rates and rising prices.
Curious about the follow up. Since he is just walking with his phone, does he ask people to put their co tact information into his phone and then into his CRM? Or is he just knocking the same doors over and over?
Was curious if anyone had any thoughts/advice in door knocking in the current economic environment? How has your strategy changed? What kind of conversations reap the best results? Thanks!
What city
Knocking is interesting these days because of the increase of doorbell ringers like Ring. What I've found is that prospects simply answer their Doorbell and speak with you through that (Almost like being on the phone). Any thoughts on winning situations like this? You are right in front of their door, but that door is just not opening, it's all on Ring. Thoughts?
how do you door knock on townhomes in gated Communities and condos behind security doors ?
If you cannot get in then don’t go to those
Cameron is the real deal
Yes he is!
Yeah totally
Do you pass up the doors with NO SOLICITING signs?
great podcast but what is your specific reply when a homeowner complains about the competition as a buyer battling low inventory?
Now is the time to crush it door knocking since that is no longer a common objection. But when it was, you have to find out if it is realistic for them and if they could compete in the market.
Gold
I door knock for solar and find myself coming across lots of sellers as they use this “selling” to Segway away from speaking to me or shut down the interest. But I also am in real estate as well I’m finding a hard time getting the sellers business to list on mls as most people have family agent/ friend. Any tips or ideas to gain interest/ business at the door
This is a hard objection when family is involved but I’d be happy to make a video on it for you!
I need content to door knock effectively to bring in the results TODAY, NOT TOMORROW, NOT NEXT WEEK, NETX MONTH OR NEXT YEAR. What does it take to close 3 buyer transactions, 3 seller transactions a day?
It’s takes knocking consistently to have 30 conversations a day!
"Excuse me sir, do you have ten minutes to talk about...."
"No, me and Jesus are good!"
"I meant about selling your house...? 😅"
29:55 what did he mean by that? Can someone explain why he thinks real estate will get shaky
Is there a time of day that you find is best to get the most conversations?
2-8 pm is what his mentor duane richins says start at 2 so by 4 pm your skills are sharp and you’re really ready to go 2-4 is like a warm up and 4-8 is like game time
So what is the best script? Didn't really nail down what to say. I mean I could just knock on the door and say "hey are looking to buying or sell RE"? Thanks bye.
If you don't carry any materials, how do you keep track and how can people respond to you if they are not home?
You should always bring your résumé with you to leave behind.
I would expect you’d now have to know double the number of doors due to everyone sitting on low locked in interest rates. With higher rates most don’t want the increased payment due to the rate being higher.
The domain address he gave does not work.
What time of the day would be a good time to do this?
2-8pm!
How do you follow up on door knocks? Do you get their email or phone number at the door? Or do you door knock again in 6 months as an example?
Same thought I was having...
You need to ask for their contact info. Just like on the phone, ask to stay in touch or offer to send valuable information.
Both! I stay in touch with email and reknock
30:00 Why is real estate going to get real shaky here in a bit with the route its going?? Brandon you agreed what where you guys referring to?
Well now that it is 5 months since this interview we can see how it got shaky. Rate hikes and homes sitting!
Great stuff here! although if Cameron's objective is to List initially, why did he mention he puts more emphasis on taking them out looking to buy ( 9 min mark)
He answered that by saying a prospect who is ready to buy is VERY motivated to sell.
My intention is actually to help them buy so the listing comes more naturally!
I am trying to make an entry into this career in Australia. I did a trial day yesterday generating 7 leads with three immediate sellers and 4 sellers looking to sell within 6 months however, at the end of the day I was told I didn't have the sellers gene. Is this a thing or should I stick with it? I have never tried to sell or find sellers before. This was cold calling. Appreciate your videos and advice!
7 leads / 3 immediate and you don’t have the sellers gene…😂
Don’t ever listen to someone that is not hustling in your shoes. Anyone can be a seller. That’s why I love door knocking. I could prove to anyone that I have it in me to succeed
They are just trying to crush your dreams. Keep going😂 ugh some people
How do you gather an email address on the first encounter without coming off as a sales person?
If i didn’t close them on the door I like to invite them to client events and provide market data in their neighborhood.
How big is your neighborhood to knock 6 hours a day? That would be the whole city in a few weeks?
Totally
A People and his farm area just home all day? How does he have so many conversations each day.
I knocked a lot of hours haha
