I’m from Melbourne and love to see a fellow Australian standing up for Palestine, years before October 7.
I had way too superficial an understanding of the plight of Palestinians prior to October 7, I knew there was an apartheid and occupation but I had a very sanitised understanding of it. I knew the Palestinians were oppressed but I had no idea how brutal and violent that oppression was. It was never mentioned in Australian media.
The only silver lining I’ve found since October 7 is that people like me are now able to see how truly depraved and evil the Israeli regime is. I’ve become radicalised, how can you not?

I wasn't suggesting he's not smart. And some themes he talks about do make sense. But he belittles and look down upon everyone on the da'wah scene. Plus, he acts increasingly in a way that shows he's actually promoting "Muslim" leaders that have normalized relationships with Israel; and he also discards the plight of our Uyghur brothers and sisters in China.
He sounds wise and convincing because quite simply that's his bread and butter: he works in PR.
