  • The Wharf is a great place to Washington DC visitors to stay but unfortunately does not have a Metro station right nearby. The good news is it's an easy walk to Metro if you know how.

Great tip. There is also a shuttle bus called the SW Neighborhood Shuttle that goes to the Wharf from the Maryland Ave entrance of the L'Enfant Plaza. It's great, but the only downside is knowing when it's going to arrive. The Wharf webpage used to have a real-time predictor, but the last few times I was there, the message was "real time not available" or something to that effect. That's a shame because the bus is really nice and it's free. If you have any connections, please ask them to provide feed for real time predication apps.

Love this, I always use the Waterfront station if I need to get to the southern parts of the Wharf/southwest waterfront

If you really need an excellent accessible eight a.k.a. wheelchair accessible ramp escalators don’t work
