I just visited there, the week before last, to attend a Summit near L’Enfant Plaza. I stayed at Homewood Suites, which was great. I enjoyed walking around Half Street and got to see the Nats beat the Mets! National’s Park is awesome and the experience was amazing. While this area was a bit far from the monuments, I was still able to visit some by using the Metro. I really enjoy your videos, and since DC is quickly becoming my second home, I really appreciate all the good information.

We're coming to DC at your favorite time, Rob, and we've been devouring your tips, tricks, and hacks videos everyday. You've answered a lot of our questions and helped us find a place to stay. Just wanted to let you know in case this helps inform you and your viewers that the information on the website for visiting the Navy Museum (not the Memorial) is old. You don't have to fill out that Base Access Pass form anymore. Just spoke to a helpful gentleman at the base yesterday. Show up with your ID at the O Street entrance (remember the museum right now is only open Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and someone will help you from there.

We really enjoyed staying here this past summer at Homewood Suites, right across from Metro station and a suite gave us more room with kiddos. We would Metro in to somewhere during the day and come back and eat dinner at a Navy Yard restaurant. We even caught a Nationals game one night. Really enjoyed our experience staying here!

Very good and concise guide to what and where to do, eat, stay, etc. in Navy Yard. I’m glad you included the National US Navy Museum which is totally disregarded by all visitors to this neighborhood, but you should have mentioned that it’s only open 1 day a week (Saturday).

Love the neighborhood guides! I like the modern vibes of the yards. Wish the navy museum was easier to visit

As a family of 3 visiting DC for the first time, is it wise to stay in this area, as opposed to Dupont Circle, Capitol Hill or Foggy Bottom?

I know it's last minute but, I'm supposed to come Sunday to Friday and it looks like government shutdown is inevitable. Any tips since I can't postpone my trip? Lol
