- Bud Light’s Marketing Vice President defending using trans activist Dylan Mulvaney for adverts to “reflect” a target audience is a move which could only be “absolutely trashing” the brand, says Sky News host Rita Panahi.
Ms Panahi said the Vice President’s move to make Bud Light appeal to "women and to men” was “so hare-brained”.
“If I had any shares in that company, they would be sold yesterday."
She wanted something that appeals to women and men, so she got someone who is neither and insult to both.
Makes perfect sense.

Inclusivity does not mean endorsing someone who is making a mockery of all women and trying to force women to bow down to what they define as a woman. Dylan is insulting to women. As a woman and supporter of everyone being true to themselves, Dylan does not represent women in the least. His bizarre antics and extreme behaviour is not remotely representative of what it's like to be a woman. Exactly, Dylan represents the WORST of female sterotypes. In that one video he depicted women as dumb, emotional, careless spenders. He's done videos of him walking in heels in the woods which no woman would do. If he at least portrayed a classy woman and the best of female attitudes it would be a little more bearable, but he is making a mockery of women.
This was their plan. To replace their older customer base with new (younger) customers.
This was why it didn't work.
(1) They underestimated the anger of their "traditional" customers. They have now lost many of those customers.
(2) They over estimated the influence of Mulvaney over their new targeted customers. He might appeal to the LGBT crowd (a minority). But that doesn't mean that he appeals to the majority of younger people
3) The people he appeals to are young naive TikTok girls who aren’t even old enough to drink
Budweiser have offended most beer drinkers. How on earth did they work out that they could appeal to the majority of people by using a so called trans person who account for 0.01% of the population. They've offended real women who comprise around 50% of the population, and adult males who are their main consumers who make up close to 50%. Can people really be deluded enough to believe that a trans woman on a beer can would appeal to anyone?.

If they plan to fill the customer gap with supporters of Dylan, they will fail because no one will drink Bud on purpose, it's already just a budget compromise purchase. No one "chooses" Bud, they simply settle. This may be the end for Anheuser-Busch. Sure I used to buy Stella as a treat but honestly, it's not that good either. I'm not seeing a future for the company because they just broke their very shaky marketing and customer loyalty, now the products have to speak for themselves and they don't have the quality to hold up. Also, as a Fort Collins native, I used to be proud of our Busch plant but then ownership sold out and the locals told me the management treated everyone poorly after that, sold out. Now they are draining our aquifer to make shitty beer to ship to other countries. The aquifer is not replenishing fast enough to keep up with demand. When it is drained below well levels there will be an extreme water crisis for all states that use the aquifer. It's not worth it.
