    Absolutely the most enjoyable videos on youtube. The craftmanship, editing, calm music, but most importantly; the soothing sound of a plane used to perfection. Excellent work sir. I do hope, that some day you will do a video, about sharpening and setting the plane.
    I envy your skills!
    Greetings from a fellow(but no equal) woodworker.

    Most excellent! If you ever use a walnut burl and can butterfly it open, try a hard carnauba wax. Buff apply, buff apply and keep repeating until there is no grain left and you can see your reflection. I PROMISE you will not be disappointed!no shellac, no stains, just wax. You can use it on any wood, but I was a show piece once. Oh my.only someone who truely talks with the wood.❤

    Only one thing I feel the need to point out, your scribe lines still show on the finished box ends, I use a marking knife to mark across the grain and only mark where I’m going to cut, your scribe line should be cleared from the finished surface.

    Commendable determination, "I picked up this Clifton No. 5 at start, no way I am reaching for a block or chamfer plane at this point "😅. Just a beautiful piece of craftmanship, I remember having a store bought one decades ago in school, but whoever had made that one had definitely cut corners big time 😂, nothing like this art.

      Looks like a 4 1/2 to me. Handle at the heel of the plane, and it looks wider than a 4 or 5.

    • @anonplayer8529
      @anonplayer8529 Рік тому +1

      @@whittysworkshop982 I take your word for it, it was a rough and uneducated guess on my part (ashamed to say I am not even a pure Stanley man but a "mixed race" mongrel with a lot of cheapo kinks on my shelf). But still I would say great attitude, " I have chosen my weapon and here I stand". 😎😀
      edit: That is misspelled (probably not the only one) I noticed, but can't correct or Tube will start kicking my butt (well someones butt anyway), referring chinese made planes, sorry😖.

      @whittysworkshop982 Рік тому +1

      @@anonplayer8529 Don't worry about the Stanley/mongrel thing...... My weapon of choice is and always will be some kind of Record plane. It doesn't matter the brand, all that matters it that it works 😁
