Beautiful make. Can't beat the shearing sound of a well sharpened plane, the crunch of a perfectly weighted metal mallet on super sharp chisels and the sight of applying oil finish to complimentary coloured woods. Combine that with steady, confident & purposeful actions you get a perfect project video. Superb a pleasure to watch
Ya know? With your joinery skills, and access to beautiful hardwoods. Assuming you have all your basic hand tools. Even if you don't, you can plan accordingly. I'd say it's high time to make your own H.O. Studley tool cabinet. I'd certainly like to see it.
Nice job. I'm the person who asked about your BMI tape measure and I bought one. It's been great. Now, I've admired that Clifton long enough. Even though I own a fleet of high end hand planes I just ordered a 5&1/2 Clifton to add. You may want to consider a merch portal where you would earn some of what people like me are paying to get tools we see you use. Thanks again.
The beauty of this mallet is its simplicity - and elegance. I see a tiny version of this one being crafted soon. Are you this skillful diapering a squirming baby yet?
Great Job. I noticed that you dont have soft-jaws on your bench vise. If you use ply to line both jaws, there is a product called "Crubber" you face them with (or leather) and it helps grip objects without damaging them.
Hello, wonderful work you do. I would be interested to know how you maintain your plane? in the video 00:34 they have a small can that goes over the bottom🤔 Greetings Patric
He’s placing a very high quality and very sharp metal blade on wood. How is that going to ruin it? Unless he places it by accident on something hard like metal then there’s nothing to worry about.
Well, a couple of things I would have done differently.... On cutting the head blank out, I would have lined up my saw cuts with the grain, essentially as close as I could get to actually riving a head blank out. The final product doesn't seem to have much cross grain in it though, at least less than I was expecting. I have multiple wood lathes, so I would have turned the final form on the lathe. As for the leather ends, I have no clue as to how well the wood glue will hold up. I would have gone with rubber cement/Barge. It does not dry rigid. It does look nice though.
You spent a lot of time squaring up the wood, and using a smoothing plane on it to make it have a silky finish, but then you went and made it round. Why didn't you just make it round from the start and skip the whole squaring and smoothing bit?
Because he made a mistake in the title of the video, are you making an uprising here? What's wrong with you? Make it better and write the title of your video in Ukrainian... Let's see who laughs then

And all without a lathe. Perfection! These videos are so relaxing and inspiring.

Wow beautiful
A great design which the old vikings already used. The handle is bigger on the top end and the harder you hit the tighter the fit gets. Great!
🇮🇳 Great job. I like the unhurried way you work.

Did you get the 5 1/2 ?
Yes, I'm very happy with it and prefer it to my LN and Veritas planes@@williamn01

very nice work, you should try and make your own utility knife, i think that would be very cool

Great visual production, what camera do you use? and lens for the macro? What is your general telephoto lens? 70mm or more?
are those tung oil applicators some sort of make-up sponge? you are inspiring me to go sharpen something and make some shavings

What is in the tin for lubricating the plane sole?
Oil soaked rag I believe
A stick in a stick.

Makes layout for the mortise and finding the centre for the circle much simpler and more accurate so everything runs in line if that makes sense
