Was going to do sword/greatsword but leaning towards sword/wand for that paladin feel. Will depend on how I feel in the events - in the beta I couldn't keep up with the kills very well but I also know things have changed a lot since then.
Thanks Hack for covering new MMOs while also still supporting ESO. Without ESO content from Hack, I feel like sth would be missing. Ofc, ESO is getting old nowadays but it’s such a great game worth the time. Thank you for all the content.
Thinking Mage... Staff/Wand. But the wand animation looks kind of stupid. We'll see... gonna have to try them all of course. Looking forward to your written guides as I have with all your ESO content.
I played wow for 20 years and tried multiple MMOs thought that time. This is the first MMO i am having gun with. I love how simple they made the openeing of the game. There wasnt a million side quests right out the game. It has a tutorial thats pretty expansive, i havnt been confused or hit any roadblocks on what to do next. Trying to figure out all the different capabilities and combos is really fun. There are a ton of people playing. I hope the hype continues.
Same I stopped playing wow after MoP and tried so many different mmos to get the same itch I felt when I started wow back in BC and so far this game has been hitting it can’t wait to try the PvP almost at 2100 power
some systems will be annoying late game though. Trait system and how to use it in AH can be tricky. It's nothing complicated but you need to research it first
Finally someone talks about ranger. I've used this since I started an thought I'd ballsed up but I love this combo. I use diff skills so I can kill multiple targets at once.
interesting, while researching before before playing a Sword&Shield/Staff combination was the one that caught my eye but watching some recommended builds, the content creators completely ignored it. I thought it didn't have a good synergy but watching this it looked exactly like I expected it to be and strong to boot! I'll start the game this weekend and definitely go for it, thanks for this info, subscribed.
I’m longbow/dagger and loving it. Longbow has good damage and healing while dagger with things like venom/cloak/ Smokecreen can get you out of any situation and back to range to use your abilities for longbow again. It’s a good setup
so true. I call this Guts build. the one from berserk. never runs out of mana and decent heal per hit, very quick gameplay. Kinda switchy on 2 modes, quick midrange burst then engage jumpy CC greatsword nukes> escape back to midrange quick attacks and repeat.
Pretty sure hack is keeping in with his off meta style here and sharing what builds he has thought of and likes... Rather than a copy paste of all other t&l build content creators. Keep it up hack. 👍
Interesting because not like most of players I like experimenting myself and I ended like you - Paladin 2H Sword / Wand :D Some guildmates told me I should be 2H Sword / Sword&Shield build not wand, nobody uses such Paladin build in my guild :) What's more interesting is that I usually play mages or other long range builds in games but here I've found it has too small range for my preference and Paladin build is fun (i like block mechanic) but still Staff/Wand is my 2nd build like you said ;)
thank you for this vid. Been playing ss/greatsword and wasnt really feeling it. Gonna try your paladin build as its more like my paladin in wow and other games!
i have been doing a Staff Bow build most of my abilities are nukes. the two lowest damage is fire barage or where you can shoot a bunch of fire ball out. for PvE you could swap that to hunters mark. but my bow all i use is strafe with Gale, to Zypher arrow to consume gale for big numbers. and snipe. with natures blessing. the rest are all staff nukes.
My first char was staff/dagger, then I saw a longbow/crossbow build and thought it's amazing, and while the damage sure is, the cooldowns are a dealbreaker, so I'll be switching to longbow/dagger I think.
bow/daggers for me. i'm leaning into poison hard wth my build, and i think people are sleeping on it. don't really use the dagger's melee skills, use a lot of it's passives though, and it's poison application. basically if it increases my crit rate or poison i use it. my eq is all crit rate based... as a result the dps i'm kicking out seems to surprise most people, been having good effect with the build in pvp.
idk tbh anymore, everyone says gs/staff is trash but i’ve been doing insane dps. compared to the in vid p much same level at 29 rn but not a single skill im using rn does less than 700/800 damage (other than the flame barrage but it does more overall so ygm) so i don’t even know anymore. i also dk what i did but im p much always max mana even tho im spamming but i 2 shot or 1 shot everything rn so ima j stick w it
Looking to play dagger/wand. Seems like it would be fun, but what I've seen is that everyone puts the wand in the main slot, not the dagger. Why is that?
I will definitely try the Paladin GS/wand, i dtill don't know if i will like pvp and looks like this build is good while soloing AND playing with other players
I'm kind of stuck in terms of having a build. I like the way the daggers look and feel but for off-handing a weapon, I never really feel there's any really enticing choice for me. I mean, I like wand enough as a supporting weapon to keep me in the fight but it feels... wrong to pair with daggers. I can't really explain it. I've been running Staff/Wand for levels 24-42 atm and I like it well enough, just don't want to keep to that for eternity as healer and dps both. For now I suppose I'll have to make do but I really hope we get to see Flails, Spears or more specializations for existing spells that entirely change their function. God. Spears... I miss spears... someday we'll have them, mark my words. Then I won't play anything but spears. I will need to be PAID to use anything else xD
Hey @HackTheMinotaur - i have been trying to hunt for a build that really fleshes out the Battlemage concept you created here. Its my favorite setup I have seen to date, but everything I here and see is that its not a viable or "meta" build. Could you create a more detailed guide of each of these builds? I always love your content and the way you explain builds has always helped me in ESO. So I am hoping you can do the same here in Throne and Liberty!
@@HackTheMinotaur Would love to see your version of the Paladin, as you are the first that I have seen using GS with Wand (love the idea). But I like my flashy spells, but I also wanna cast the spell "Sword"! So fingers crossed, that Battlemage will be next! Regardless, fantastic content as always!
question do you have to play with others to do the whole game? like i play eso and you don't have to group up if you don't want to, i just have a hard time finding decent people to group with
No they’re not……. S&S + wand is a Templar // Dagger + GS is a Ravager // GS and S+S is a Crusader. There is no Assassin or Brawler in the game. It tells you what the class names are when you equip both weapons in game.
But Valiant Brawl doesn't have an AOE damage component? I guess it was nerfed since that part of the video was captured, but it's not part of the global release patch notes
What build are you playing in Throne and Liberty? More info in the Written Guide! hacktheminotaur.com/guides/best-builds-for-throne-and-liberty/

If sns/staff is Battlemage, what do you call a gs/staff user?
Staff+Dagger is good too the mage that can stealth.
Probably the best explanation and examples I have seen lol. Soooo torn between Great Sword + Wand, Staff + Bow, Staff + Dagger

No way you were able to find out how to get to the amoliti house
This gives me hope, gonna download it and try it today

I use staff/GS and it's been a blast
I use William Shatner's Shlong/ a Beaver's butthole
I like it so far
You nailed my build to a Tee at number one. Paladin build with great sword wand is a menace
From eso to t&l we are here excited to see all the pc and xbox players from eso on the battlefield :)
Yaaaaar
Yeah man this game gives me good vibes also from the eso clan 😎💖
Eyyyy. I started playing with the Battle Mage setup, on a whim. But now I see it as a really viable build. Thanks for the video!
I’m longbow/dagger and loving it. Longbow has good damage and healing while dagger with things like venom/cloak/ Smokecreen can get you out of any situation and back to range to use your abilities for longbow again. It’s a good setup
ive been using crossbow greatsword and it’s honestly just all around a lot of fun
so true. I call this Guts build. the one from berserk. never runs out of mana and decent heal per hit, very quick gameplay. Kinda switchy on 2 modes, quick midrange burst then engage jumpy CC greatsword nukes> escape back to midrange quick attacks and repeat.
Gandalf: Staff and Sword
Legolas: Dagger and Longbow
Aragorn: Sword and Longbo
Sword?
Greatsword they meaning since Aragon used a bastard sword which a hand and half sword
Frodo build when?
I guess I'm playing Legolas! 😅
Ops comment is a mic drop lmao love it.😊
Battlemage is so fun to play. Just feels good even when tanking.
I keep looking for a battlemage build how viable is tanking with sns and staff?
Pretty sure hack is keeping in with his off meta style here and sharing what builds he has thought of and likes... Rather than a copy paste of all other t&l build content creators. Keep it up hack. 👍
love how he zigs when other's zag
Gs staff has been super fun
I'm so glad your doing TL content, I've been following you since early ESO and I've always loved your builds and videos
Build guides with chapter markers? That's a thumbs up and comment.
cant wait to play this game on oct 1 im ready to grind need something new
I’ve been playing it and it’s been awesome

Loving Greatsword and Staff its funny af, you get close, Bonk. You run away, still get bonked.
I’ve been having fun with dagger/staff. I unload all my ranged spells, dash in, unload my melee attacks, dash out and repeat.
Thank you for highlighting gs/lb. I’m having fun with it and some other content creators are ranking it on the lower tier.
I'm really pumping some nutty damage with staff/dagger. Huge crits
Tank here. Sword/Shield + Bow. Them bow heals help and are crazy good to stay alive
thx first time i saw a paladin build i liked the wand and wantet to play with both and this helped a lot
Glad to see you playing TaL Hack! 😊
i have been doing a Staff Bow build most of my abilities are nukes. the two lowest damage is fire barage or where you can shoot a bunch of fire ball out. for PvE you could swap that to hunters mark. but my bow all i use is strafe with Gale, to Zypher arrow to consume gale for big numbers. and snipe. with natures blessing. the rest are all staff nukes.
I like using S/B and great sword as a paladin, but also a S/B and a bow and being a warden
My first char was staff/dagger, then I saw a longbow/crossbow build and thought it's amazing, and while the damage sure is, the cooldowns are a dealbreaker, so I'll be switching to longbow/dagger I think.
The Sentinel: Great sword & Sword/Sheild. Very high survivabilty.. Good Dps and can tank.
Wand/daggers here
Great sword and ranger cause why not😊
bow/daggers for me. i'm leaning into poison hard wth my build, and i think people are sleeping on it. don't really use the dagger's melee skills, use a lot of it's passives though, and it's poison application. basically if it increases my crit rate or poison i use it. my eq is all crit rate based... as a result the dps i'm kicking out seems to surprise most people, been having good effect with the build in pvp.
I like great sword and staff, dagger and cross bow, and wand and sword/shield
I’ve been enjoying great sword with sword and board, lots of defensive options tied to offensives
I’m trying out Staff/XBow, pretty fun so far
i want to roll with that combo on release. I never play a mage but that seems really faced paced and hard hitting
I’ve been runs staff and greatsword
Scorpion build is crazy ngl
Paladin for life!
What better way to start in a game than with Hack's guides. 😊 Thx for it!
I have it downloading now. Looks like a ton of fun. Wanna try bow/dagger build. What do you think?
New to the game. Just got to 50. Co op dungeons are tough. Kinda disappointed there's no raise/resurrection spells 😅
Thanks man I’ve been looking for a mage build, console version hud
Crossbows/staff user here.
all the stats increase you damage not just strength but strength also increases ur health
Please do a guide on GS/Wand!
What about Battle Mage? Great Sword and Staff
Dagger/crossbow??
I thought this would be a popular one as skill complement each other.
I really want to be Spellspear in this game. Really hope shield would officially be offhand so I can be spear + shield tank 😂
I pick crossbow dagger. But might make new toon and try staff wand lol i dk
Right Now I'm doing Spellblade, Sentienl and main Disciple, might go back to Mage, wondering if there good to play around with.
idk tbh anymore, everyone says gs/staff is trash but i’ve been doing insane dps. compared to the in vid p much same level at 29 rn but not a single skill im using rn does less than 700/800 damage (other than the flame barrage but it does more overall so ygm) so i don’t even know anymore. i also dk what i did but im p much always max mana even tho im spamming but i 2 shot or 1 shot everything rn so ima j stick w it
greatsword + dagger focus on ice and lightning is a fun combo, no idea if its good tho
I use dagger/staff
What about longbow/wand?
Call it more of a Templar or Holy Knight. Paladin would be more sword and board with Wand.
Looking to play dagger/wand. Seems like it would be fun, but what I've seen is that everyone puts the wand in the main slot, not the dagger. Why is that?
Idk but ive been enjoying my dagger/wand build
Right now i have dagger/bow combo and main the bow. Thinking about swapping the bow for a staff though.
Tank, Paladin or Templar. Which one makes most fun?
..what about Sword and wand? Templar??? Where my Templars at
LONGBOW CROSSBOW RISE UP I LOVE GOING SNIPE PEW PEW
I like uhhh….the mage type builds. Pew pew
machinegun magic
Staff/crossbow
I will definitely try the Paladin GS/wand, i dtill don't know if i will like pvp and looks like this build is good while soloing AND playing with other players
What about the great sword and staff?
I use greatsword and longbow but i need a good way to set my abilities up
Nice.
Mage / Heal, here I come
Currently running bow and wand as a starter, not sure I like the way the wand skills cast on Ps5 though.
Could u please make a more detailed video about the tank build? Would really appreciate it since my squad needs a tank and I love playing tank in mmos
What build is better for solo gameplay GS+Wand(Paladin) or SNS+Staff(Battle Mage)?
Is there a dedicated healer/support option? I’m always a healer in MMOs
Bow and wand. Both have some heals and utility
Can we get a in more depth guide dagger and great sword
Title is a bit misleading since there is nothing like "oh I gonna try all classes before I committ to one". Switching even once is true pain.
question what passives i need for gs/dagger and what specs i need for both weapons
How's the GS and staff combination (another version of the battlemage)?.
How did you get your action bars like that? The full flat bar really annoys me as a new player
That's console
I'm kind of stuck in terms of having a build. I like the way the daggers look and feel but for off-handing a weapon, I never really feel there's any really enticing choice for me. Are you doing a paladin build video?
Gs/wand = paladin? Isn’t sns/wand?
Yes, it is..
hmm sns/wand aint that templar not paladin or maybe both mean same thing ?
He mentions both in the Paladin section. Using S&S for more defensive option.
yes paladin is sns/wand not gs/wand
@@Darkinator1 paladins are known for being healing tanks and known for their sword and shield

Bow and wand combo
calling the greatsword dagger combo a pve mainly build is wild while its the top most op pvp meta builds in the entire game
Can you provide more specific on GS/wand aka Paladin, please 🙏🏻. I really follow your guide for paladin GS/wand build
Mee to please
Yea some ideas for passives would be great!
Assassin healer build
How about Bow / Wand?
No crossbow? Just with long bow?
BIG BANG KAMEHAMEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
hey, can you send a url for healer and mage plz, great video very thanks
Damn men where is longbow, dagger?
Thats me.
Do you prefer playing controller over mouse and keyboard?
This seems fun but pvp eso still has it for me i think and skills wise there is so much more to eso. Even with bugs it's far superior
question do you have to play with others to do the whole game? like i play eso and you don't have to group up if you don't want to, i just have a hard time finding decent people to group with
actually the paladin is S&S + wand and the dagger + GS is the assasin...the brawler should be GS+S&S

I main sns wand and I was thinking of trying smtn different cause pve is very slow for me
