@@plunkervillerr1529 oh yeah I did check the wiring for the motor and it seems to be alright everything from the brush springs are intact but I see a lot of heat shrink tubing on though not that might prevent that or not? But anywho a new contact plate will be order soon though and it’ll be connected on and good to go ready for service hopefully 🤞. Also I need to get an American flyer 420 as well for my collection (locomotive only) which I have the tender for it on my other workbench. Thanks for watching!

Marx guy here, stop and go is probably a loose wire at pick-up area. I have an Am. Flyer prewar 420 that`s similar.
