But you already have your data backed up so if you erase everything getting it all back is no problem....my phone had a reset done but before the reset all my pics had that cloud on it so I assumed it was all backed up well apparently it wasn't, so can I retrieve the data from the phone with out the back up!?

A little help here? Did anyone else encountered (and solved) this problem? Before I watch your vid I had already tried to recover a deleted file from a samsung j5. The recovery proccess went kinda well (it found many files), but then the software asked me money to get my data, so I went back to the app's main menu. My problem though, is, that the phone now boots to a mode in which it shows the samsung logo with some blue particles around it and it can perform only adb commands through the pc. It just wont boot to the normal mode (it's been some hour that the phone has this problem). The recovery app told me that once I closed the program tge phone would return to its normal mode, but it didnt. Before I disconnect the phone from the pc I forced an adb program to stop and I clicked on safely remove hard disk (the phone). But now, I cant go back to the normal mode. Any suggestions?
You mention NOT being connected to the internet. Must you disconnect from WiFi itself? Or just make sure the WiFi window is not open and/or that you're not trying to surf the internet?

So, to be clear...you can only recover your data IF the phone was rooted BEFORE the factory reset?
I forgot my password and have so much stuff on my phone I cannot afford to lose, but my problem is 1)The updated software (I have Android Marshmallow) does not allow for users to reset password through Google account.
2) I do not have a samsung account to reset password from.
3) I had not enables USB debugging before hand, so I can't seem to use a third party app to backup my data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I called Samsung and they were completely useless, not to mention I'm still pissed that for some genius reason you can no longer reset your password through Google accounts

I recovered data from the SD card on the windows machine via stellar data recovery free edition. This completely free utility helped me to recover. But it did not work on the phone's internal memory.
I was literally just checking discord when my phone froze, then it asked for my password, then it went into a blue screen and iy said erasing with the android guy on it, and then it reboot and everything was gone
