Hello Doctor. I accidentally left my FIRESTICK DONGLE in a TV at a hotel. The hotel says, "it was not turned in". I have the remote. What I want to know is, can someone access my information from the dongle? Or is it useless without the remote? Also, can AMAZON I erase the information from the dongle?
Yes they can! All they have to do is pair another remote to your dongle. I’m not even sure if you can set up a password to protect a Firestick on startup.
You can log in to your amazon account, go to your devices and issue a remote factory reset command
It’s unfortunate for the person who left their dongle behind and I hope they get sorted out with the information you’ve just provided Doc, but their plight has highlighted something I never gave a thought about so it’s all very informative information just in case anyone has the same issue anytime.

I know the pc nerds will argue that all day but for the average joe that's the description used without over explaining it so they understand.
